The polly pocket and other tutorials confused me .. I already know running man and this tutorial helps me do the X move or whatever .. This helps a lot
I was taught that this move is adapted from DnB step where it's called X-Out. With the variation to introduce it into the new style, the name was originally changed to X-Step from what I understand. Agree that the move shares fundamentals with the running man, thanks for sharing your perspective and passing on the knowledge to beginners ❤️
Thats correct except you cant do the running man to broken beats at 185bpm (dnb). Thus x step is basic move in dnb which can be done at that speed. My go-to move at raves, can dance different variations of it for the whole 6-8 hours per night.
Marbiik me encantan tus videos soy tu fan me encanta verte bailar y enseñar shuffle Espero Verte algun dia y que grabemos juntos estoy empezando en el shuffle pero ya tengo un buen nivel
The names aren't wrong. Often things have multiple names. For example pop, soda, soft drink, coke, and simply drinks are all words people use for carbonated drinks. It's not random and there is nothing difficult to understand. When a waiter asks me what kind of coke I want I know what they mean even though my family and friends call it soda.
Well in dancing is very important to have proper vocabulary to pass on the culture and moves properly and to have a structure where new generations can learn without confusion. Is not helpful when names are invented, we have some different names for a same thing but it gets bad when people just start inventing names, that last thing is what I wanted to target with this video.
@@Marbiik but aren’t all dance move names invented? Naming a variation is not a bad idea, makes it easier to communicate which variation I’m talking about instead of saying the running man variation. But anyway great tutorial and nice breakdown for beginners.
@@Marbiik I get what you're saying about some are just variations or need a universal name ect. But I think this is just how language works lol. Even in English words change depending on what's popular. So what about translations to other languages? Let ppl have their own way to say things if they want, you can just use what most people will understand. This happens in any culture where things get technical and naming conventions aren't strict. Music genres have this problem all the time.
Thank you! About the outfit: the jacket brand is Woolrich and I bought it second hand in a vintage store in my city, and the pants are from a Nike x Chicago Bulls outfit.
I have never heard anyone explain dance steps this clearly and with enough detail. Thanks so much, you have been so helpful!

Vanessa Secco first called this move the “Polly pocket” in one of her early tutorials (referring to Elana Cruize)…

Polly Pocket

Thank you sm🎉
Every variation SHOULD have its own unique name. But still, very good tutorial, most others dont break it down into 3 steps
I've seen it from another youtuber that you also should keep torso looking forward without letting it swing following legs
Very informative 😊
Thank you for the tutorial. It keeps getting better.

"Lied to" is a bit exaggerated, I think.
I really like the way to teach but your like Minato when it comes to naming his Jutsus lol your name is too complicated
