  • Cox .049 Sure Start engine with RJL Diesel conversion.
    Propeller is 7x3
    Fuel is equal 33% of Ether, Low odor Kerosene and Castor Oil.
    Throttle response is quite good, but not as responsive as an exhaust throttle ring with a Nitro plug head.
    The engine if fueled and cold started, didn't even have to prime

      As in the description. 33% solvent grade (99%+) Diethyl Ether, Pure castor oil and low odor kerosene as use in garden lamps.

      thebug 404 yeah... well im a 14 year old in quarentine so ive got plenty of time to waste! im gonna go get me one of those.

    How do you run diesel on those engines?

      They don’t use Diesel Fuel, but the mix they described or something similar. In terms of compression ignition these things are odd. Almost like HCCI if I remember correctly?
      Granted obviously not as fuel efficient or clean burning as some complex HCCI car like a Mazda or something lol, but still interesting!
