Tasty cools anyone? :D
Tasty Cools 6:)
Seibmoz:)
That piano at the end is SO GOOOD
I actually really love this. Interestingly, whenever I listened to Messengers, I always had an image of that same late afternoon sun over the water. The realness of this video is stunning.
I have just discovered this band (literally, 4 songs ago). Wow!
They are amazing performers and the structural complexity of their music is awesome. They aure are connected, musically speaking, to Cursive (a band that I love) and other emo/screamo bands; but thir mixture of blues and post-hardcore is really unique.
Best album of 2011.
If anyone is interested. This was filmed at Fort Tilden in Queens, NY. I've been there a few times, It's a pretty cool looking place.
@macbethdvs Have you seen the video for Darkness?
this reminds me of Into the Wild lol. he looks just like him and he's doing the same thing. hunting for food n stuff...
Not sure why I'm disappointed in this. I don't see what this has to do with the song. Was hoping for something that relates to it. But maybe somebody can explain to me?
Ellis!
This song is fucking AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Stagger Lee reincarnated, is what the cops call him (8)
Not a fan... never heard of this band... My unbiased opinion: Great fucking work. Everything. Thank you guys for creating this.
I cant understand why this album doesnt get more recognition. I have no idea how I stumbled on it but it blew me away first listen. Everyone else I've shown has reacted similarily. There's nothing like it. If anyone knows anything similar please reccomend it becuase this stuff is incredible.
Sutter Kain & Darko - The Darko Effect check this out guys
There are very few albums that I can listen to from beginning to the end without skipping a track, and "Never Born, Never Dead" is amongst them along with Gospel's "The Moon is a Dead World" or DSOFTM.
Terrific band.
It would be wonderful if they did the video just like the lyrics say. everytime I listen to it, I keep imagining the desert and the cops and etc. Amazing song
tasty cools 6
greetings from peterborough ontario canada. please come visit after corona boys.
If anyone doesnt know, stagger lee was a pimp in louisiana in the late 1800's, he shot his friend billy lyons in a bar over an argument and a $5 stetson hat. this story become immortalized in a popular folk song. which mississippi john hurt does a great version of. I love how Trophy scars brings together different genres of music, and overflows them with soul
Is that Charles Manson's voice?
@tskikunas Yeah, I'm disappointed too. Not at all what I was expecting. And they cut out the ending :S
Jerry Jones is my spirit animal.
I love you guys so fucking much
This song belongs in GTA 5 .
They take a while for them to sink in if you give them a chance. I loved them from when I first heard Bad Luck but some have told me that Jerry's vocals really need to grow on you for you to like it. Once they do, though, you really appreciate how emotional they are.
Like a heavier arcade fire
Get their discog for sure. I love these guys a lot and they're one of my favorite bands. If you're looking for bands with the same feel as them, I really can't help you since Trophy Scars' music is really unique tbh and nothing comes to mind at the moment
Wow! These guys are great!
DX hah same coach prov thiz
You're the one who said I must not listen to a lot of music. Was addressing your first sentence. Opinions are opinions. But I know for a fact (personally) that Trophy Scars rules. However, what I can't understand is why someone would re-visit a video that they hate to bashfully comment on it, my best guess would be that they're a pretty shallow and boring individual that has nothing better to do.
@svtsokolov That would be my first guess. I was kind of expecting a Nevada desert and a man in a roofless car driving like a maniac with the cops chasing. But oh well..
Still love the song. The video left a bit to be desired but what I was hoping for was beyond reasonable.
@tskikunas Agreed as well. I liked drunk adventures much more.
BTW, was this shot it the US ?
Video looks nice, however their videos never seem to reflect the lyrics
@tskikunas Agreed. Maybe Trophy Scars will explain the video themselves.
Going to see them tomorrow, super excited. Anyone have an idea where this was filmed?
methinks Jerry left his razor in Jersey
thankyou this song has made me better about feeling Messengers
still here listening 6 years later
This beautiful piece of art just makes me long for the summer.
he must get some pretty bad sunburns
If it is generic give me a list of some other bands, new or old, that are doing this. Just curious what else is out there.
No one is out there doing what they are.
@storm0fswords Hope so!
amazing use of the go pro!
BEST BAND EVER
lol
Yep :)
Amazing
❤
I've listened to over 4,000 albums. You couldn't be any more wrong. Trophy Scars not only writes some of the best music I've ever heard but it also has SOUL (especially compared to who is playing today). You might not understand that because you're too busy complaining about his vocals after the first listen. Expand your taste and give things more time. This band is one of the best out there right now. No contest. Made me start believing in new music again.
Don't care for the occasional Mr. Krabs vocals but this is awesome besides that.
This will Always be one of my all time favorite bands, So amazing, song does not match the lyrics but I love that they did that
