18 here as well, I just recently started putting on makeup because I'm working and it's needed and you're absolutely damn right, school is easier than this. (I got the hang of it actually but I still don't know how to do my eyebrows)
Hello. I'm not a makeup person. I was over using powder and didn't know what concealer or foundation was. I bought everything other than the brushes and eye material and all in my tone. I want to say, it looks amazing! My husband was very happy. Very basic, easy and with great results. I used it today and just hope I don't break out. I usually do, with liquid anything. Even lotion. Thank you!
Thank you so much for going back to the basics and instructional tutorials like you used to! That really was the whole reason I started subscribing and watching your videos!
Great video, Jen! I've been wearing makeup for years now, but sometimes it's nice to get back to the basics. I learned a couple of good tricks from you. Thank you!
Hmmm best newbie makeup tip? Really experiment with mascara formulas - especially if you've got stubborn stick straight Asian lashes like me, make sure you invest in a buildable formula that is waterproof!
This tutorial helps me alot as jen and i have the similar problems which is monolid and i cant find any other beauty guru that has monolid eyelid and style that i like😂 THANKS JEN I LUPH YOU SO MUCH💖
This is a great video! Tip: to keep mascara from ruining your great shadow work, use a business card as a shield between your lashes and your lid! BTW- My daughter was wondering what editing software you use.
Recently, I've been trying to branch out and do other stuff with makeup. I used to only do foundation and mascara and now I'm trying to learn the arts of eyeliner. I bought liquid eyeliner (Not sure which brand) where you have to actually apply the liner onto the brush which is not working well for me. Any tips on how to actually apply eyeliner and any brands y'all would recommend? Thanks :)
This video is perfect! I never understood why foundation came in liquid and powder form.. this helped clear up the point. Picking a good color to match is hard though...with all the crazy names they give them. Blah!
Makeup is so compicated... I swear if you're a girl that knows how to do all this, understands this, and does the contouring shit, you should be an artist XD
it's actually a good idea... I've thought before that the woman who threads my brows needs to take some art classes, b/c she can't see lines. (and the reason I know how to see them is I did take one good class)
Oh my goodness, I know. It took me a whole year to learn how to apply eyeshadow, contour, concelaer, highlight, etc. As well as learning what goes with my skin tones and eye shape (cuz hey, asian eyes are like.... all different for some reason) haha!
I like it if i do the "gradient lip" style but i don't like to use lipgloss a lot, only if it doesn't have any color. I have small lips and they look kind of weird when i use lipgloss that have color
My best tip: Less is more. This is especially true, I think, for those under 25 and over 50. Those under 25 simply don't need much to look great, they have youth on their sides. Those 50 and over, are battling wrinkles and large pores, neither of which look good with a lot of makeup. (I know, I'm 50!)~Carla
I'm sorry, but this only further complicated the makeup world for me. I legitimately suck so bad at being a girl, even when I try. I can honestly say that everything she just said to me sounded like greek, because I have zero f-ing clue what any of those products are. I'm going into high school this year, and I know it's going to be hell for me if I can't figure some of this crap out. :(
Hi there :) You're a newbie and all things take a while for newbies to understand. Not being great at makeup doesn't make you any less of a girl. I just graduated high school and started wearing makeup now. So don't worry about having to wear makeup when you start high school. There's no set time to start makeup. I'm not sure what you're having difficulty with but you can always search any problems up. Also like Designandrew said, I really recommend you watch more beginner makeup tutorials. Some people explain things in a way helps you understand better. I recommend themakeupchair and her tutorials for basics. Also, buy some drug store makeup and test it out. Experiment! Make mistakes, test out different things, see what you like. Only that way you will really learn :) Feel free to drop me any questions any time! Good luck ~
Oh, Gee. Thank You! Honestly, I don't even remember posting this, but it sounds like me. I'll try to apply all the things you said, and I'll drop you questions if I need to. :D
Yeah, this video was a bit more complex video for beginners. I recommend just finding a concealer, mascara, and a light blush to start off. If you have thicker eyebrows, a clear brow gel is easy to use to hold them in place. If you want, you could buy an eyelash curler to use before mascara, but if your lashes have a natural curl, it is not needed. Best of luck!
I'm still pretty nervous to actually put on make up. People keep telling me I should, but then I have to deal with everyone at school saying that I'm fake or that I'm trying to hard
I look fake when I wear makeup too lol! I am finally getting mascara this month. So many other times I and pinch my eyelids haha! It takes patience and downtime to do it.
I've been curious about make-up for awhile now, but I'm kinda scared to actually buy some because I've never worn it before and I don't feel like I have people here to help me with it... And whenever I see make-up, they neer seem to say what use they have??? Like, very few products I've seen say "concealer" or "bronzer" so idk what they're for (I know it's supposed to be obvious, but I'm stupid, okay?)
I think you have to go to the normal shop you buy make up.. and just be calm and pick it up and look at it. We have make up here in supermarkets. It's easy to browse. And if you are brave, i think asking advice from a make up store is invaluable. I go every couple of years for new tips. Have a budget to spend on 'essentials'. But you have to be brave!
Lily Binoya you're not stupid first off we've all been there. if you go into a beauty department or even a pharmacy there should be someone there to help you pick colors and types of makeup. ie matte vs mouse foundation and so on. i found this really helpful when i started buying makeup. also sales girls at like rue 21 are great for makeup advice and usually very polite and helpful
This is hands down the best beginner tutorial I have seen! I basically do this everyday for myself but I do more of a focus on the crease to 'fake it out a bit'! THANK YOU JEN!!!!
I don't wear makeup often because of maintenance... I can apply makeup pretty well now, but throughout the day the eyeliner/eyeshadow gets smudged, mascara gets super flaky etc and I end up looking like some kind of ghost. Any tips for a newbie like me? (:
a primer helps keeping eye shadow/liner stay put. waterproof liner is helpful too (be it pencil or liquid liner) . Mascara flakes on me when it is old(expensive or cheaper brands) . maybe time for new mascara. (mascara is the only make up that i replace diligently as it does go bad (gets very dry and fall out when applying and flakes as day goes on), my fav is drugstore: covergirl LashBlastVolume, orange one) have fun with it! xo
Awh thanks for the tips! I've always wondered how gurus keep their makeup looking pretty much perfect the entire day without using waterproof products though. Hmm.. And my mascara is fairly new :o I'm using Maybelline's Falsies Flared & it has pretty good reviews, but maybe it's not the one for me. Guess I'll pick up another one (like your recommendation) and try it out!
I am very much a drugstore kinda girl and like 90% of eyeliners smudge on me and the only stuff I have found to work is WnW's waterproof liquid eyeliner. However, there are days when I can't be arsed and would prefer the convenience of pen-type eyeliners, in which case, I use elf's eyeshadow primer and it keeps my liner in place ALL DAY! I can't vouch for it's eyeshadow lasting power though.
I haven't yet found a mascara that doesn't smudge for me but for eyeliner, go for tarte's Multipleye liquid liner. I have oily skin and watery eyes and this never smudges on me!
apart from blush brush, you can really just use fingertips to blend foundation and to do eyeshadow. It is harder to get a precise finish with eyeshadow, but foundation without brush is totally doable, and you'll probably have to powder with a puff rather than a brush. Just my two cents, hope this helps!
Christabel Ng I'll keep that in mind, thank you very much! I just started to use makeup and I don't plan on buying brushes any time soon so I hope Jen could make a video about it and maybe give some tips on applying makeup without brushes. ;'>
Jinger Yeoh Actually if you use cream blush you can skip brush as well. That's why I tend to take them on holiday, less to pack! Yeah it would be handy, the thing is probably that.. brushes make make up application easier! It took me a while to buy brushes, but once you do, you'll realise it makes everything easier to apply and look gorgeous without much work! =)
Christabel Ng Cream blushes? I'll check those out! Since I'm a student and I live in Asia, do you know of any good brush sets that I can purchase here?
Jinger Yeoh Pretty sure Maybelline does cream/mousse blushes! Ahh I haven't been home (asia) in a while.. but if you see EcoTools they have excellent brushes and my first brush kit was actually their essential kit/starter kit and I am still using every brush I have from there (with some new additions). It's been at least 4 years now, so good long term investment! If you can get a hold of EcoTools, or Real Technique Brushes, they're really excellent =)
Can you make more newbies videos? I'm new on makeup. Or like make videos Tht tells me about what is what and what's it's needed for. And tell me your favorites when you were a newbie.😂
Holy shit! Putting on makeup is not for the faint of heart! I was so scared that she was gonna poke her eye or something! People who wear makeup are hardcore!
I have a tutorial video on how I do my brows from totally grown out and unruly to natural arches like I usually have! Basics: Perfect Brows Tutorial If you are wondering about a specific topic, check and see if I've covered it in my basics playlist or request it here! ua-cam.com/play/PL64DD85F15E03278F.html
I'm only 14 do you think I'm to young to wear makeup my parents said i can but I was reading the comments but now I'm thinking I'm to young like I want to wear makeup but should I wait a little longer
+101 pretty pink hey my advice since your so young is you won't need a liquid foundation until your older i didn't wear a liquid foundation until my late twenties so if you go to the Mac store or Sephora store just find a powder foundation and primer this will give you medium coverage since your so young you won't need the full coverage of a liquid foundation most likely then use a tiny bit of bronzer powder to contour your face a little a very simple light natural blush and a tiny bit of highlighter a very simple natural lip gloss and an eye shadow primer and some simple eye shadow colors a eye liner and a mascara.
+101 prettypink Do what you feel most comfortable with. Makeup isn't a requirement. At your age you may find most of your peers beginning to put makeup on, but not everyone really needs it.Like our fellow friends mentioned, since you're young you won't need a ton of coverage. Simple eyeliner and mascara can make a big difference just by itself.
Hello! ^_^ thank you for the tutorial! Im going to 7th grade (whoo hoo ^_^) and i just told my mother about my intrest in makeup. So we went to the drug store and i have eyeliner, mascara, lipgloss, etc but i dont have Foundation _ ! I cant seem to find one that fits my skin tone.School is almost here and i really need help _ (p.s your so pretty)
I really appreciate that you say Light Layers! A lot of tutorials don't talk about how much to apply. A lot of beginners (including myself) apply WAY to much foundation. The eyeshadow not going to high is also really important! Thanks for the tutorial it really helped me I have watched it a few times!
I literally just finished high school starting to go into college next week and through out my five years in high school I have never once worn makeup but I feel like I want to start soon, everyone else I know does know how to makeup whereas I have no idea. I don't even have make up so it just gets worse.
You don't have to wear it. But to know how to wear it will be a great skill. Especially if your course you chose involves with alot of social stuff or presentations. Since you need to look proffesional
+Lunar Bugs (Saika-chan) x.x I do the exact same thing and I always think it's like a super lazy way to do "make up"... But IDK how to do or start what she just did up there ^^^^
No one needs makeup. That's not the point. It may make you feel more confident at times but it's just fun! If you're wearing makeup because you think your ugly you doing it for the wrong reason.
Thank you for sharing this!! It's really helpful for newbies ESPECIALLY like ME!!! But for eye liner, I cannot use the gel liner coz my eyes are really sensitive, which blink a lot when I do the make up and a big pain for mascara, so I can only use pencil ones.... Do you have any tips on this? THX!
I actually was looking at it but was kinda hesitant on buying it because I'm a cheap person haha and it was a bit pricey for me plus it just came out (i think) but i may try it out. thanks!
+katinstroodle The foundation is used to make the face ''one-coloured''. The concealer is used to cover facial blemishes or dark circles under the eyes. The bronzer makes you look suntanned and some people uses it for countouring but there are specialised products for countour. And the powder sets the previous products because some of them such as the foundation are mostly liquid/creamy products so if you sweat your makeup will move and we dont want it.
If you have long lashes like me, before you put on mascara, I like to curl in 3 different sections... closest to my eyelid, mid-way outwards, then the very tips. Otherwise, if you have naturally long lashes, then you can have lashes that shoot straight up! which looks awkward. It gives you a more natural curl :)
Try faceshops deluxe eyelash curler (its the gold coloured one) - its got the same wider curve like shiseido and its been my holy grail for like 3 years ^^ im sure there are heaps of places online that sell it :)
I was going to say the same as Mina and jenni3s! Try a local Asian grocery store or beauty supply store. I find American drugstore curlers aren't a good shape for me but even cheaper Asian ones work great! I used my Shiseido one because there wasn't a great drugstore one I'd recommend. ;)
Mina Valeriee Winarso From Head To Toe thanks for all your replies:) lash curlers have always been a pain for me... every single time i curl them, they scrunch up, get crooked curls, or only some of it manages to get curled. Ive never found a perfect curler for me... i would go get the korean curlers but i dont exactly live in a place with all the korean shops beside me(im from canada)...
I am in 7th grade and I want to start wearing a little bit of makeup but I needed some help. This gave me a ton of instruction! Ii still don't really know the best drugstore to buy it form yet. If anyone could help me out with that, that would be awesome! Walgreen's, CVS, Dollar Store???
i used to NEVER wear mascara and just wear eyeliner alone because i didnt think it was important but i was sooo wrong! mascara is super important because if you curl your lashes correctly, then it will make your eyes look more open, awake and seem naturally prettier. so now for everyday i usually just wear mascara on the eyes and not even bother with liner. Tip: find a good mascara that suits your lashes, get a water resistant/proof one if you're worried that its gonna smudge, and a wetter formula if you suffer from flaking. my fave from the drugstore is maybelline's the rocket and a more expensive alternative is benefit's they're real :)
peh yi I personally wouldn't make my eyeliner that thick, so I get what you mean by it looking heavy. I normally draw the line as close to my lashes as possible, a very skinny line and then a wing tip and it seems like for her, she's drawing a very thick dark line.
It would look heavy if you use darker colours. But in this video, she's using more neutral-toned brown colours, so it doesn't look heavy. Also, it does look a little heavy with the eyeliner coz it's really thick. But it's only thick coz she has monolids. If you are double-lidded, definitely draw your eyeliner as thin as possible for a lighter look :)
liner is thicker because she has beautiful monolids.if you want a lighter look, you could just use eye shadow as a liner close to the eyelash line with a flat liner brush to push it close to lash-line. you could blend it out a bit too to be less harsh. brown is less harsh than black . You could also just do a lid color , liner , mascara. :) xo
Jen - I never comment on UA-cam but I just wanted to say that your channel is by far my favorite. I love the way you explain the rationale behind how you do your makeup - it's extremely helpful and I appreciate the time you take to do so! I honestly never wore eyeshadow before your channel and now my friends ask me to do their eye makeup. Thanks for being awesome!
Try the estée lauder double wear concealer! It's an investment but it's an amazing concealer. I have quite panda eyes, very tired looking and dark circles and that concealer was the best one I found after trying out a bunch of them :)
Rebecca Velasco lol it's different for everybody. I'm just saying it worked for me. and I only said that one because this was based on drugstore products.
this is a really helpful video!! is there any drugstore makeup that conceals pimples ? because there is so much concealers but they're all for undereye.... and the Maybelline coverstick which I bought recently failed to do anything
Sonia Kashuk from Target. Quad (one is a powder and three color shades) i used to use Laura mercier Secret Camouflage but like this one better for any kinds of blemish /imperfection cover. xo
I dont really do this stuff but I have to because we have this cheeringthingandmy momis working abroad so she left me a makeup kit just incase. I want to do it myself bcause i dontwant other ppl touching myface 😂
Best makeup tip: I have stick straight lashes (no mono lids though, lucked out there), always always curl your lashes and do one coat of mascara if nothing else. It will make a huge difference even though it's a small thing.
Ugh my lashes are pun strait and my eyes are slightly different shapes, not enough that you can see it but enough that if the curler works on one eye, it will either awkwardly crimp my other eyelashes or pinch my skin :(
Hiromi Niemczura Try using your right hand for your right eye and your left hand for your left ! I have slightly mismatching eyes too and found this helpful ^ ^
NUMBER ONE MAKEUP TIP :) If you're new to makeup, don't go all out the first time you wear makeup in public. Gradually build it up over time so people won't really notice a big difference. Good luck!
Wiggle your mascara wand or twist it as you move from the root of your lashes to the tips when you apply. Both methods are great from keeping clumps out of your lashes.
I'm 18 years old. Just graduated high school. Trying to put makeup on for the first time. I can honestly say that I did better at calculus.
Sarah Hegerhorst AAA HONESTLY ME TOO
I'm 19 ... And only worn makeup when other people put it on me but its time for me to stop being ugly and learn how to use makeup
18 here as well, I just recently started putting on makeup because I'm working and it's needed and you're absolutely damn right, school is easier than this.
(I got the hang of it actually but I still don't know how to do my eyebrows)
Sisters, I'm 22 but getting no where with make up. Lmao. I just don't know what to do.
I can relate so much!!

Very helpful Thank you!! simple yet Beautiful
You look so beautiful!!
this video is so helpful thank you!!!
Hey, i love your tutorial as usual but i have a question. What do you do for acne hyperpigmentation? Thanks xx
I love this make up so much!! :D

My 16th birthday is next week and I've never worn makeup. It's just that I never needed it but now, I really wanna see how it'll look on me.
isn't the dream wonder powder a powder foundation? would you still use that in combination with a liquid foundation??
I like this
Would you recommend the rimmle stay matte powder or the maybelline dream wonder powrder?
What's brand name for angled brush ? :)
you're so beautiful with and without makeup *_* :*
What colour is your nail polish!?
WHY ISN'T ANYONE TALKING ABOUT HOW NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL SHE IS
YAZZZ😍😱
+kpop.overdoseu your profile picture 😱😏
Yaaaas😍😍
ARMYSS YASSSS 👋
Because she's trying to show off her skill in applying makeup and teach people. You don't walk into a class and scream "OH THE TEACHER IS SO HOT."
Makeup is so compicated... I swear if you're a girl that knows how to do all this, understands this, and does the contouring shit, you should be an artist XD
Jasmine monsoon hahaaa I soooo agree with you !! I can barely put on mascara :oooo
Best comment
yeah this is too hard for me :p
SO TRUE
it's actually a good idea... I've thought before that the woman who threads my brows needs to take some art classes, b/c she can't see lines.
(and the reason I know how to see them is I did take one good class)
The problem with eye makeup, is that you have 2 eyes (At least I hope) so even if you did one eye perfect, you still have to do another eye.
+Zebe101 It is so hard to get them both to look the same. At least that is my struggle with the eye liner.
+Alessandra Soliven LOL about the same for me.
+zebe101 lol so true!
"At least I hope" I can't
+MissMaddieK you could always wear an eyepatch though (kidding)
So thankful I found an Asian beauty guru showing beginner's make-up!
Makeup takes practice ladies! Don't worry if you don't get the perfect look the first few tries, just keep trying and do what works for you.
truth! :D
Oh my goodness, I know. It took me a whole year to learn how to apply eyeshadow, contour, concelaer, highlight, etc. As well as learning what goes with my skin tones and eye shape (cuz hey, asian eyes are like.... all different for some reason) haha!
Am I the only one who hates lip gloss for some reason?
I love lipgloss.
I have coldsores. Ugh. :c
I hate it however I love tinted balms
it is so sticky, when there is moving air, the hair and my lips are best friends
I like it if i do the "gradient lip" style but i don't like to use lipgloss a lot, only if it doesn't have any color. I have small lips and they look kind of weird when i use lipgloss that have color

'Apply only the places where it gets oil'
Oh so you mean everywhere on my face?
😂
I like how you zoomed into the eye so you could easily see the eyeshadow application:)
Yeo-jin Kim I agree. The angles and focusing she is using is stunning! It portrays the makeup really nicely.

Flaking could be due to poor mascara in the first place, or just really, old mascara that needs to be replaced!

You sound like you have anxiety...
who els is watching in 2016 other than me?
Meee
+Something Fishy Don't worry your not the only one:):):)
Me lol.
Loved this! Perfect everyday look. xx
this is why those ladies at the make-up counter in the mall make a small fortune doing make up...the rest of us have NO idea....nice try though ;)
This is way too difficult for me, half of my face is covered in black whenever I try to put on a little bit of eyeliner xDD
Nice tutorial.... unfortunately I'm freaking BROKE!
Rue Kassab With drug store makeup it's usually very cheap that you can get at like Walgreens or CVS.
how do you know HOW to groom your brows?
I have a tutorial video on how I do my brows from totally grown out and unruly to natural arches like I usually have! Basics: Perfect Brows Tutorial
If you are wondering about a specific topic, check and see if I've covered it in my basics playlist or request it here! ua-cam.com/play/PL64DD85F15E03278F.html
SWEET!! Thanks!!
You make everything look so easy!
This is the most helpful makeup beginner tutorial I've seen so far. Thanks!
This makeup look is really classic, Jen. I love it. :)
I really appreciate that you say Light Layers! A lot of tutorials don't talk about how much to apply. A lot of beginners (including myself) apply WAY to much foundation.
The eyeshadow not going to high is also really important!
Thanks for the tutorial it really helped me I have watched it a few times!
My tip would be: wear what makes you feel confident!
Makeup should always enhance not mask. :)
I literally just finished high school starting to go into college next week and through out my five years in high school I have never once worn makeup but I feel like I want to start soon, everyone else I know does know how to makeup whereas I have no idea. I don't even have make up so it just gets worse.
+mad0di0di0domo If your not comfortable wearing make up u dont have to just cuz everyone else is only wear it because U want to :)
You don't have to wear it. But to know how to wear it will be a great skill. Especially if your course you chose involves with alot of social stuff or presentations. Since you need to look proffesional
Don't feel bad... I'm 33 and in the same boat.
I relate so much
Yoo babes thanks for the tips it is really gonna help me since I am in year 9 and I am not allowed makeup in school until year ten 😁😁💖🥰
I love the little "anatomy" lesson since I am a newbie with eyeshadows. :)
idk why u were makeup when you are so dam BEAUTIFUL!
Tbh, I just use foundation and lipstick
+Lunar Bugs (Saika-chan) x.x I do the exact same thing and I always think it's like a super lazy way to do "make up"... But IDK how to do or start what she just did up there ^^^^
u r me
u dont need any makeup on actually, u r beatiful already😯
No one needs makeup. That's not the point. It may make you feel more confident at times but it's just fun! If you're wearing makeup because you think your ugly you doing it for the wrong reason.
How come its for beginers? Im a beginer and the thing you with your eyes is extremely difficult
you have such great skin!
I like how u really go back to basics and teach
Thank you for sharing this!! It's really helpful for newbies ESPECIALLY like ME!!!
But for eye liner, I cannot use the gel liner coz my eyes are really sensitive, which blink a lot when I do the make up and a big pain for mascara, so I can only use pencil ones.... Do you have any tips on this? THX!
what drugstore bb creams do you recommend? I've been using garnier's bb cream and it's been pretty good for me, but want to try something new!
Flower Beauty (exclusive to walmart) has a great bb cream!
I actually was looking at it but was kinda hesitant on buying it because I'm a cheap person haha and it was a bit pricey for me plus it just came out (i think) but i may try it out. thanks!
I heard alot of good things on Pond's BB cream. It whitens dark spots while giving good coverage!
They say Asian BB creams are better so I'd try Etude House's!
If ur looking for coverage never get the Olay fresh effect bb cream there's absolutely no coverage at all
I really don't understand the difference between foundation, concealer, bronzer, and powder. What do they do and are they all necessary?
There definitely is a difference
+katinstroodle The foundation is used to make the face ''one-coloured''.
The concealer is used to cover facial blemishes or dark circles under the eyes.
The bronzer makes you look suntanned and some people uses it for countouring but there are specialised products for countour.
And the powder sets the previous products because some of them such as the foundation are mostly liquid/creamy products so if you sweat your makeup will move and we dont want it.
Oren_Senpai Oh, thank you! :)
It's too complicated for me to use all of those...so I just end up using bb cream..xD
***** Its hard to start using makeup, but it is worth.
What are some drugstore eyelashes curlers for asian eyes? I was anticipating for that part but she used a shiseido instead...:( thanks in advance!!
Try Koji lash curler, it's a little cheaper than the Shiseido.
Try faceshops deluxe eyelash curler (its the gold coloured one) - its got the same wider curve like shiseido and its been my holy grail for like 3 years ^^ im sure there are heaps of places online that sell it :)
if you have a daiso near you, def worth checking out there eyelash curlers! They actually work!
Walgreen's, CVS, Dollar Store???
omg she is such a natural beauty even without makeuop her skin still glows and her face us verry well structured
i used to NEVER wear mascara and just wear eyeliner alone because i didnt think it was important but i was sooo wrong! mascara is super important because if you curl your lashes correctly, then it will make your eyes look more open, awake and seem naturally prettier. so now for everyday i usually just wear mascara on the eyes and not even bother with liner.
Tip: find a good mascara that suits your lashes, get a water resistant/proof one if you're worried that its gonna smudge, and a wetter formula if you suffer from flaking. my fave from the drugstore is maybelline's the rocket and a more expensive alternative is benefit's they're real :)
I really liked this tutorial, it was very simple and straight to the point. I'm definitely going to use these tips when I put on my make up.
I just apply the eye shadow without the primer. makeup is just mascara, eyeliner and lipgloss I don't know anything about concealers and foundations
I'd kill to have skin like you
is this eye make up considered heavy? i dont wear eye make up, and i'm scared to try.
peh yi I personally wouldn't make my eyeliner that thick, so I get what you mean by it looking heavy. I normally draw the line as close to my lashes as possible, a very skinny line and then a wing tip and it seems like for her, she's drawing a very thick dark line.
Sandra L I'll try but I have monolid. Hopefully it's work.
:) xo
She is doing it more for monolids. Still okay. Like what she said, the eyeliner simply disappears when she opens her eyes.
I have so much trouble with dark circles..I can't seem to cover them up, even with more than one type of concealer. Any tips?
mac's select cover up concealer in a little squeeze tube. i have horrible ones too and that concealer covers it so well with a tiny dab
I love maybelline's instant age rewind concealer! It has really good coverage and actually smells good lol
Try the estée lauder double wear concealer! It's an investment but it's an amazing concealer. I have quite panda eyes, very tired looking and dark circles and that concealer was the best one I found after trying out a bunch of them :)
the maybelline age rewinder does NOT work for me, too sheer, invest in a better one
Rebecca Velasco
lol it's different for everybody. I'm just saying it worked for me. and I only said that one because this was based on drugstore products.
Can you please tell me the details of the brush that you used between 5.14 - 5.24 seconds? Sorry for the bad english...
this is a really helpful video!! is there any drugstore makeup that conceals pimples ? because there is so much concealers but they're all for undereye.... and the Maybelline coverstick which I bought recently failed to do anything
NYX HD Concealer (in the tube or the jar) are full coverage and you can buy them at Ulta or online. Cheap but great quality. :) hope this helps!
thank you I would def try it out!!
Sonia Kashuk from Target. Quad (one is a powder and three color shades) i used to use Laura mercier Secret Camouflage but like this one better for any kinds of blemish /imperfection cover. xo
***** is the essence concealer thingy good for pimples??
***** Where can you find that concealer?
I dont really do this stuff but I have to because we have this cheeringthingandmy momis working abroad so she left me a makeup kit just incase. I want to do it myself bcause i dontwant other ppl touching myface 😂
Thank you so much! This was really helpful!
If you don't want to wear mascara, just curl your lashes and use petroleum jelly. It looks like you're wearing clear mascara :)
Best makeup tip: I have stick straight lashes (no mono lids though, lucked out there), always always curl your lashes and do one coat of mascara if nothing else. It will make a huge difference even though it's a small thing.
Hey! Same here! I am thinking of getting an eyelash curler but don't know what is good, any recommendations? Thank you!
Aiana Soronkulova the best (IMO) is Shu Uemura, i know Shiseido is also really good!
Thank you so much! I'll try to purchase it soon!
Ladies, same story. Uneven eyes... 0_o
Really great video as always! I I love the make up, I am going to try it for my next video. Un abrazo!!
i don't even know what any of the stuff in the video is
Good that ur Asian!! I struggled so much on what colours of foundations and stuffs should I put when most makeup tutorials have other skin colours!!
i'm still confused! ugh!
Omg!! My top lashes are straight out, but my bottom lashes are long and curl downwards so much it's hard to put mascara on them...
Thank you for this video it helped me a lot !
thanks for helping!! im currently 13 and starting to get into makeup! this really helped tysm
you look like kira from teen wolf!! kinda haha
NUMBER ONE MAKEUP TIP :)
If you're new to makeup, don't go all out the first time you wear makeup in public. Gradually build it up over time so people won't really notice a big difference. Good luck!
this is really helpful!
Lotion and a warm( not hot ) wash rag helps get even the heaviest makeup off and keeps your face moistureized.
Wiggle your mascara wand or twist it as you move from the root of your lashes to the tips when you apply. Both methods are great from keeping clumps out of your lashes.
Hi Jen! Can you do a video introducing different kinds of brush ? Thank you!
Love it!! ♥... im a makeup newbie n the video is reallly helpful..thanks jen
