Two Wxy v3 is easily one of my favorite performers of all time. I do have some optimism with these, but I will definitely be waiting for sales on this model. New Balance is still killing the game (their NBA roster is getting pretty awesome). Can't wait to get the Hesi Low in hand as well.
I've worn them in five indoor matches so far and I love them. They cushioning feels great and they are pretty light and responsive. Only problem: I had a blister on one of my ankle bones after one of the sessions. I'm tying them more carefully ever since.
After trying out many pair of basketball shoes including WOW 10, Lebron 20, Curry, Kyrie, Brandblack RM2. The WXY V3 ended up being my go to shoes. I ended buying 4 more pairs on sale from Joe's New Balance Outlet! I feel the WXY V4 is a step in the wrong direction from the V3, it feels very different, too much cushioning and not enough flexibility. Will be sticking with the V3.
I think one of the reasons the two wxy v3 worked for you and not for me is that you said you aren’t a shifty player and the size/strength difference. I bought a pair on recommendation and they were great for practice but in games I was spilling over the sides during kyrie style movements and they were unwearable for me.
New Balance dropped the ball on these, didn’t make enough 2E versions and the regular fit is ridiculously narrow and way too long. I tried going a full size up (since they don’t have 13.5, another dropping of the ball) and the width was good but I had like a whole inch at the toes which was absurd. They need to fix their fits.
i have a bunch of V3 right now for pickleball and they work great....i am glad I saw this because I was curious but the color patterns are so-so for me....but since you weren't happy as the V3, I am glad on both counts now....I have 1 pair of V2s coming next week that i got for 50 bucks new so I had to at least try them....great job...PS I have heard of runner's knots over the past year but never knew what they looked like or what they did...now I do
Thinking of getting the V4s for pickleball specifically..did you happen to comare the v3s vs the v4s for Pickleball? I do value comfort and ankle support so wa slightly leaning towards the v4s. Any input would be appreciated. I play 4 to 5 times a week. Thanks
I have a narrow foot and was able to go down a half size. Because the that the fit was as good or better than the v3 for me personally. Both amazing shoes, as I get older I appreciate that these have more cushion
it should be intentional for company to give you the 2nd option/version as the sequel release so it would fit 2 different spectrum of play style/prefer reference of the shoes
I have played in these probably 25 times now. I give the shoe a solid 7/10. I agree with all yur points and I think the shoe will be very durable. Court feel is lacking.
I wore the lime colorway of the new balance two way v4 and found the traction was horrible. I was slipping on my indoor gym even on a non dusty court. Even the two way v2 was better traction and court feel. Had to exchange these for the puma all pro nitro. Traction is everything for indoor.

I wear wide2e us11.5 nb 993/990 and my current basketball shoes are Nike cosmic unity 3 us 12, and I wear other nike basketball shoes in size12. I feel like the nb 90 series length are same as Nike’s 12 idk. What should I get on these in wide2e?
I finally tried the Two WXY V3 and V4s. The traction is way better on V3 with suction cup design but the cushion is way better on V4s especially heel area. Also the arch support is higher on V4s so not comfy for flat footers like myself. V3 with better cushion would have been ideal. Overall for my feet these sadly arent better than my KD14s.
Ok so if I wanna tap into the Asian market for outdoor basketball shoes, what do I look for? I have zero clue about shoes, but I need some without killing my wallet

Getting older I need more cushion less court feel so I tried these. Again your review is spot on the v3's have way more court feel, and I actually thought the V3 cushion was extremely adequate. I just feel like I move better in the V3s compared to the V4s. V4s are still a banger.. but overall everything you said in the review..✔✔✔. Nice job on the review.

True, should have bought more pairs when they were cheap. Now I can't get a pair in my size anymore in Europe

I tried them on in store and I knew it was not 4 me just more of a bigger guard shoe than what I need
I just picked up a pair - and I love them. They are the shoe I have been waiting for...so good. I will get a few more before they stop making them.
I love these! My only complaint is where the tongue meets near the last lace hole is sort of tight.
I fixed this by skipping the last lace “lockdown” holes. It still has good support and this took the pressure of my high ankle bones.

These are my go-tos. Need a few more colorways. V3's had a weird fit and no cushion. Couldn't wear them.

the cushion review is really detailed, especially on how you explained and compared it to the old kobe set-up.
I love fresh foam on the new balance 880 running shoes so these seem like a no brainer for me. It’s super impact protective and soft.
I played with it twice on a hard court and experienced some heel slippage issue. Wide version (true-to-size)
Same, starts off great then it loosens… I got oval laces to help with this but haven’t switched them out yet, flat laces usually loosens easier

They just remind of the don issue 4. The way the midsole looks. I would just get the don 4 at the outlets for 39 bucks.
