Johnny definitely taught many of us, that there is another way to be "cool", if one does not possess a wellspring of cool, like a Chuck Connors. His unshaking tendency, to do the right thing, scripted or not, WAS somehow as quietly cool as his Pa's gunfights, with the bad guys. Johnny was no Larry Collins on the guitar, but you have to remember.... it was the 1880's!

First run april 63 I would of been 22 months old maybe 25 if I saw the rerun that summer
