I’ve only been playing for a week but wow, this was really helpful. I didn’t know you could target individual subsystems, that’s gonna be a real game changer for me 🙂
Because of the incredible maneuverability of the Vulture, I prefer 2 class 3 plasma accelerators. Sure the ammo capacity is limited, but then again the Vulture isn't really designed for prolonged engagements.
I know the video is almost 4 years old but I wanted to say I still found it helpful. Did some tweaking to my Viper MK III’s outfitting after watching and had a very successful bounty hunting session. Thanks!
Just upgraded my python it's all A rated and and a few G5 engeneer's on it. I'm just doing the BH missions for Todd for the G5 multis then I'll be set. The nav beacons aren't too bad and if you time it right the feds will help you out. I let them get a few shots on the target then join in. As long as you get the last shot it only takes a few secs to take a big target down. Just make sure you don't catch the feds with your lasers lol. I'm rolling a G4 gimbled pulse laser, then 2 multi cannons in the large slots then another 2 pulse lasers in the med slots seems to work well for me.
i have two gimbaled pulse lasers but went with a gimbaled beam laser because it dealt better hull damage and at the time it was all i had. I also got advised from a guy with an imperial cutter and he said trading and shipping materials makes you better cash, after having some experience I know for sure that it isn't as fun but it certainly gives me a solid income.
Smuggling, along with combat missions are very profitable, as well as haz rez bounty hunting, where i can make up to 6 mil an hour. Try not to fit too many lasers, 2 small fixed pulses and 2 medium gimballed multi cannons works very well. If you need a little help pm me and we can wing up, i'm on PC.
Cherry Cola I run 1 pulse laser and three gimbaled multi cannons. works just fine, I do go to RES hazardous but i like RES high more because the feds are there to help me. and I'm currently in a system with 5 or 6 planets with rings so there are a lot of extraction sites :D, but there are only Low or Hazardous >:(
I have the exact viper mk3 setup mentioned in the video. Me and my friend (who has a vulture) go to a hazardous site and I think we are doing fine. At least for now I am making credits, that are a lot for me (150-300k per round) I don't know what is a good next ship for me I am very new to the game but I like it a lot
I remember when Viper was Life when bounty hunting. Lowest risk ship with highest yield rewards sort of deal. But ofcourse, Vulture is the best fighter class to destroy big ships while still having the capability to land on small pads.
Was their a change to the game vulture has two medium hardpoints and still a very good choice for bounty if not the best. For its agile fighter pilot and two hard hitting well placed points.
I just worked up for a Vulture for the specific reasons of your video. Also I am still "learning" the game itself. Your video was highly helpful...thank you. And your methods are fine if the ship performs as yours. Peace.
why do you have so many fuel tanks? shouldn't you use those slots for hull reinforcements? I'm working on getting my own vulture right now so I'm just wondering if you know somthing I dont. thnx.
+Yeoj7 No, you're completely correct. At the time I made this video, the vulture was my only ship and I was doing a lot of interstellar travel and wanted a longer jump range before having to refuel. But yes, in a strictly combat scenario, you should absolutely put hull reinforcements in those slots. I guess I should have swapped that out for this video.
the 3e pulse lasers fire unlimited with pips in wpn maxed out...i prefer those over these beam lasers for the firepower/hits taken. i just tried this build, i kill quick but without my shield booster my shields go down quick
I'd recommend NOT having a point defence if you're going to High Extraction Sites with Federation Ships there, Feds fire on the 'Wanted' ships with missiles at times but your Point Defence will take them out which again will take longer to kill your target.
1 beam and 1 multicannon is my favorite way to fly. Eventually I'll be going for 2 large gimballed MC's, one with incendiary and the other with corrosive. Depending on the thermal output (shield damage, not heat cancer), I might just stick to a beam laser to strip off the shields so the corrosive cannon can do it's thing to subsystems. Either way, it's my favorite way to fit the Sidewinder, Cobra and Vulture. 1 point for shields, 1 point for hull and subsystems.
pulse laser seem to work well for my vulture. they work well when hitting subsystems because they seems to punch through hulls alot better than the beams. i do love the beams thoigh because they can drain shields and at times cause heat damage.
How would you recommend a diamond-back scout/explorer ship for combat not bounty hunting but just for defense. (I meant the cheapest diamond-back ship but I forgot the name of it)
ok. I used beam lasers and missiles with it at first then I tested turreted multi-cannons on the front hard-points then I used pulse lasers on the medium hard-points and it worked. I could go into a High-conflict zone and survive for one or more hours (Depending if I had ammo/synth for the multi-cannons/AFMs as well as the chaff/point defense). Thanks anyways.
beam lasers and pulse lasers are great for taking out shields and you can use them to take out sub systems on enemy ships faster than you could take them out just generally shooting at them and waiting for their hull percentage to reach zero. i for one rely upon beam lasers to quickly get shields down, and then to quickly take out the power plant. once youve done that, they are sitting ducks and cant fight back. later on with better ships you can upgrade to a rail gun for sniping sub systems once shields are down.
thanks for this, i've been planning on buying a second ship for bounty hunting as i am currently running a type 6 for trading so ill most likely get the vulture as thats within my price range!
What are the best places for bounty hunting? I don't seem to find that big bountys where I'm at currently, are there any like better places for bounty hunting?
Leo Vujcich My fav system is the Okinura system. few rings, many stations and fairly small system (so no 20k Ls travels) I just started hunting in one gas giant's rings and 3.5M creds profit. also one station has a giant ship shop in it. nearly all ships are there (bennet gateway if I'm right) hope this helped :-)
You should get a little retical thing even if you're fixed weapons and you just aim at that. Gimballed weapons will automatically track to the subsystem that you targeted.
Don't know if this will ever be seen but in your opinion (or anyone's) as a new player with a Cobra Mk III what kind of targets should I be looking for? The only things I feel safe engaging are Adders, Haulers, Sidewinders, other Cobras, and Eagles...
TheOneWayDown Honestly you can take on everything solo except for the anaconda or some of the other big ships, I started playing a week ago but I've got a cobra mkiii and I kick ass in it... Make sure there are cops are around for backup though
Agreed, High Resource Extraction sites are the places you want to hang out in a Cobra, you can do smaller ships yourself, and the larger or better ships wait until the System Authority Vessels start shooting, then go in to the mix. You'll rarely get shot at, and if you do even a small amount of hull damage on the opponent, you'll get the bounty.
I have a few ships for different purposes, I've only been playing for a week and have gone through several ships. I mainly found passenger missions really profitable. I can make a few million in a couple of hours. I've had one or two making 4 to 5 mil on one mission, I've only had to fly to 2 or 3 destinations but only had one where I've been captured and shot down as I'm only using my type 6. I'm building an aspx to use in case it happens again and then I'm ready for them.
*Cobra mk.3 or Viper mk.3?* assuming i can get the best equipment on them which one is better for bountyhunting? BTW i have 45 hrs so far, cashed in roughly 3.5M creds with diamondback explorer on bounties and i want to buy another ship just for hunting. (if any of this matters anyway xD) Thank you guys :-)
Bagged my first bounty today that I actually lived to return. Dragged some poor Adder out of supercruise and detonated him. Bounty was only worth about 6,500 but I'm making 700,000 off of it thanks to community goals, so that's a pretty good profit if I do say so myself
yeah i found that hopping in a type 7 and buying a commodity for 600+ credits per unit then selling 102 units of it at a system 2 jumps away for 7000+ cr got me 600,000+ credits of profit in about 10 minutes.
ShadowTracer don't mean to ask a bunch of questions but right now I have a cobra mk3 and I'm not sure if I should put a lot of credits into or not or do mining and I've tried doing bounties and I'm getting blown up alot and not dishing out much damage what do you suggest?
Total noob here. I've been playing for 10 hours. I bought an Eagle and decked it out as follows:- 1 - 1G multi cannon gimballed 2 - 1G pulse lasers gimballed 1 - 1 chaff launcher 1 - 2C power plant 1 - 2A power distributor 1 - 3C Bi-Weave shield generator 1 - 1D fuel scoop dumped the cargo rack I really want to practice with bounty hunting then move on to a better ship and become a pirate. Any advice?
I had a really tough time starting out with this game when I was in an Eagle myself. At this point, I might try doing Mission Board stuff rather just straight bounty hunting, or you might even want to try practicing another profession just to stock up on credits to get a better combat ship. There's really only so much you can do with Eagle unfortunately.
Thanks for the quick response and advice. I tried fighting but I need a lot more practice first so I don't need to keep looking at the controls. I've switched to running data and with my new ship and the odd bit of cargo transports from the missions. I've been making decent money (for a new guy) and bought a Cobra MkIII, fitted out as listed:- 2 - medium 2F pulse lasers gimballed 2 - small 1G multi-cannons gimballed 1 - chaff launcher 1 - point defence 1 - 4C power plant 1 - 3B power distributor 1 - 4C thrusters 1 - 4C FSD 1 - 2C fuel scoop 1 - 4C bi-weave shield generator 1 - 4E cargo rack 1 - 2E hull reinforcement 1 - 4point empty compartment (cant't decide what to put in there, any advice?) I'm really loving this game so far and can't wait to get fully into it.
I started playing yesterday and i had bounty from 2 anacondas for 400k+ doing only little bit of damage at the end when police was killing it :) And for sure i will try yours ship setup.
I am new at Elite Dangerous, and just pre-order it for PS4. Anyways I am going to do some bounty hunting for a bit. I may copy your loadout and ship if that is okay? until I get use to it and better I'll do this style... I find your info useful thank you..
I'd run two medium beams, an autocannon, and railgun. The railgun is optional, you can also just run two autocannons, it's a lot cheaper if you're light on credits.
Honestly, i prefer lightweight hull without reinforcement, shield wont go down anyway if flown correctly, as long as its not a corvette or a cutter with full turrets a vulture can kill it with decent maneuvering. Also, double pulse laser is more fun imo since the capacitor wont be empty after 3 seconds of shooting.
TheCookieOfDoom I assume you mean PvE, because in any other circumstances many more ships could easily drop a Vulture. None of them would be running turrets, they're the worst weapons in the game.
Isn't it smarter to just go to high sec systems with extraction sites and letting the Fed's shoot them while you just kinda hit them a couple times? Sure, it's a lot less engaging, but if you just reinstance (as in logging in and out) until you get big ships with massive bounties and let the Security Service do all the work while you cash in, that's a lot easier and a lot less risky.
Silvertaxx yeah i have been doing that with my Eagle to save up some money. Quite nice when you get 150k in bountys for a single ship downed at that Stage in game
So to anyone watching in 2021, I don’t know if they changed it or what. But you don’t need the kill warrant scanner for extra money. It just won’t tell you how much, but you get the extra money per kill regardless.
can you run me through how you destroyed him without taking down his hull? it still said 59 but you destroyed him... sorry if this is a stupid question, im new to the game.
It's not a stupid question. I made this video quite a while ago, but the only way I can think of is that I destroyed the ship's power plant. If you destroy the power plant, the ship will explode whatever amount of hull integrity it has left.
Watched another Headhunter guide just yesterday and the other guy said pulse laser and that third type of laser yield much higher damage output than the regular beam laser. Since the game says the Beam laser is the strongest, they might refer to the damage per shot, but the other lasers shoot way faster, resulting in higher DPS. Can that be the case? What about the other two ships escorting the Anaconda? Did they not protect it? What with their bounty?
Not a great guide, was looking for stuff like how do you find your target when you get the audio message “mission objective detected”? How do you see your mission objectives and how do you target them because mine disappear when I come out of fsd drive,I can’t find any targets in normal speed mode so I have to go into fsd drive and rinse, repeat. How can you get the bigger ships when you start on a smaller ship with lomited shields,i.e. how can you do combat at the basic level? Also, why does the game get rid of transporting missions after a few missions into the game? ty,I need these important questions answered.
Hey,this is a guide for bounty hunting, not assassination missions or massacre. To answer your questions... Mission objective, you go to the first panel(the one on your left) and go to contacts. Click on the npc you're hunting. Happy hunting, cmdr.
As for combat, look for tips on turning faster, throttle efficiency on turning, and thruster tips. Always maintain flight superiority over your opponent ;)
Just go to a planet with rings and get a recourse sector with High danger not Hazard I take my loaded Viper in and I make around 2 million in 45 min of playing.
100k+ for a Anaconda? Lol buddy you need to switch systems you should be getting 3 to 5 times that amount try resource extraction and refinery systems they absolutely hate pirates over there
i hate kill warrant scanners. all it does is slow me down. if you could claim any bounty remotely I would reconsider. you will end up making less money by flying all over the place to collect your kill warrant bountys when you could have been at the extraction site making more.
You don't have to visit the places to collect the kill warrant bounties. I think you can collect them on any station only at -25% if it's not the correct station.
What this guy said. You don't have to visit all systems. Space station in Kini is a good example of a contact where you can cash in multiples. Plus thats an anarchy system so you can make a stack of cash in a really short space of time there.
hi, first of all thanks for create this guide, now my moan, i complety suck, i'm trying to bounty hunter with a viper but all the time they kill me and im with 1000 credits, no matter the system where i am, if is a hazardvous or high resources zone... any area for beginners that i can rak with empire?
You could try the Low Resource Extraction Sites. Other than that, my only advice is just don't pick on ships that are a lot larger than you and stick with the System Security ships.
will try it, im farming low transports and i will try to travel to the system in your video, in the station where im i doesn't selll vultures or high level ship components. thanks!
Obviously he explained how to bounty hunt efficient first and then what you need to do in the early Stage of your Game. Watch the whole Video before you judge.
I’ve only been playing for a week but wow, this was really helpful. I didn’t know you could target individual subsystems, that’s gonna be a real game changer for me 🙂
Watching this video while auto docking my type 6 and i heard FSD charging while tabbed in game.. Freaked me out
Christian Nielson xD you should know better. You are mass locked. :p
that is hilarious though xDD
I just imagined you alt tabbing back and seeing a huge fucking hole in the side of the station and your bits all over the Milky way.
Lmfao
I personally reccomend on the vulture a 3c beam laser and a 3c Multi cannon. Multi cannon will lay waste to the hull and the beam to the shield
There's a video where I did that :)
That's what I'm using at the moment.
Alyssa I used a beam laser and a rail gun but I’m not very good at combat yet.
Because of the incredible maneuverability of the Vulture, I prefer 2 class 3 plasma accelerators. Sure the ammo capacity is limited, but then again the Vulture isn't really designed for prolonged engagements.
My dual 3c pulse lasers are pretty neat just hope the ai doesint hit your power plant...
I've been looking for a good bounty hunting tutorial for a while, and this one was perfect. Thanks so much!!!
Hey, thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it!
I know the video is almost 4 years old but I wanted to say I still found it helpful. Did some tweaking to my Viper MK III’s outfitting after watching and had a very successful bounty hunting session. Thanks!
i have not tried this but i thankyou for making this video. im gonna go get myself blown up right now! wish me luck!
Lol, good luck, cmdr XD
Wow. I didnt realize you can target specific components on a ship.
Thx Shadow, just got this game finally for my ps4 and this helps me a lot!
i have two gimbaled pulse lasers but went with a gimbaled beam laser because it dealt better hull damage and at the time it was all i had. Was their a change to the game vulture has two medium hardpoints and still a very good choice for bounty if not the best. For its agile fighter pilot and two hard hitting well placed points.
I had no idea you could target sub-systems directly till I watched this. That is funny. Thanks!
Glad I could help!
As a newb playing on console I found this very useful, much thanks.

"The Vulture is a ship I hardly recommend for bounty hunting".
He then says it's a great ship for bounty hunting. Lol you're making my brain hurt.
ZmannR2 "heartily"
Maybe he "Hardly" means it's good.
the 3e pulse lasers fire unlimited with pips in wpn maxed out...i prefer those over these beam lasers for the firepower/hits taken. i just tried this build, i kill quick but without my shield booster my shields go down quick
The Jesus freak commercial beforehand was disturbing but I love your videos. Thanks for the content Shadow.
I'd recommend NOT having a point defence if you're going to High Extraction Sites with Federation Ships there, Feds fire on the 'Wanted' ships with missiles at times but your Point Defence will take them out which again will take longer to kill your target.
If you use gimballed lasers I'd recommend using a class 3 or higher sensors as well as it helps with target your ship much better
Good video! I didn't know you could target the power plant, that's new to me. I use an asp though. I wanted a good all around ship.
Thank you! The Asp is a pretty decent multi-role ship with excellent maneuverability. Good choice, sir!
He said or maybe my method just sucks I died laughing🤣
Thx a lot. I also like the beam lasers. One cmdr forced me to flee in a (non-combat) Python, with two Pacifier frag cannons and loads of SCBs.
what's a high extraction point in asellus primus to find bounty's and feds around them ?
Damn the Vulture is loud as hell! sounds like how I imagine the Hindenburg sounded.
did you mean highly recommend? because you said hardly lolz
+ZombieTrix Possibly. I did this a while ago and I don't remember exactly what I said :\
+ShadowTracer haha it's all good. I knew what you were saying. good video bro
+ZombieTrix Thank you!
+ZombieTrix That caught me too, but if you listen again he says hardily, not hardly
Perhaps he said hearthily
1 beam and 1 multicannon is my favorite way to fly. Eventually I'll be going for 2 large gimballed MC's, one with incendiary and the other with corrosive. hello kind sir.one question. are the beam lasers fixed, gimballed or turrets? That is a Gimballed simbol next to the name right? thanx
pulse laser seem to work well for my vulture. they work well when hitting subsystems because they seems to punch through hulls alot better than the beams. i do love the beams thoigh because they can drain shields and at times cause heat damage.
i said pulse laser, i mean burst lasers
Burst lasers are pretty nasty also, but I went with beam lasers because of the sustained DoT they put out. But really, use whatever you like.
How would you recommend a diamond-back scout/explorer ship for combat not bounty hunting but just for defense. (I meant the cheapest diamond-back ship but I forgot the name of it)
I'm not very familiar with the DBE or DBS, so I can't really give you a build for that. Maybe a video will come out in the future about that though.
I used to bounty hunt all the time in my dbs, not sure how the dbe handles in combat but the dbs is great for combat and exploration

Not a bad idea.
Beam laser cost to much power, I prefer pulse laser with shield boost and two chaff. Best load out for PvP too
PC Friendly Not necessarily the best for PvP.
thanks for this, i've been planning on buying a second ship for bounty hunting as i am currently running a type 6 for trading so ill most likely get the vulture as thats within my price range!
Np. Glad you found it useful :)
What are the best places for bounty hunting? I don't seem to find that big bountys where I'm at currently, are there any like better places for bounty hunting?
Leo Vujcich
My fav system is the Okinura system. few rings, many stations and fairly small system (so no 20k Ls travels) I just started hunting in one gas giant's rings and 3.5M creds profit.
also one station has a giant ship shop in it. nearly all ships are there
(bennet gateway if I'm right)
hope this helped :-)
Jebidiah Kerman thanks:)
I just started this loadout....took me forever just to take the shields off a Python... did the weapon properties get nerfed or something?
does targeting subsystems only work with gimballed weapons? - otherwise how do you aim at precisely the right spot manually without gimballed?
You should get a little retical thing even if you're fixed weapons and you just aim at that. Gimballed weapons will automatically track to the subsystem that you targeted.
great! thanks
Don't know if this will ever be seen but in your opinion (or anyone's) as a new player with a Cobra Mk III what kind of targets should I be looking for? The only things I feel safe engaging are Adders, Haulers, Sidewinders, other Cobras, and Eagles...

I'm building an aspx to use in case it happens again and then I'm ready for them.
I heard it was best to use D rated mods to keep the ship light and nimble.
*Cobra mk.3 or Viper mk.3?*
assuming i can get the best equipment on them which one is better for bountyhunting?
BTW i have 45 hrs so far, cashed in roughly 3.5M creds with diamondback explorer on bounties and i want to buy another ship just for hunting. (if any of this matters anyway xD)
Thank you guys :-)
Do you know how much the overall cost of ship and build comes to ? I'm saving up for one. Nice Vid.
Thanks. This particular build was something like 20M total, but there is more cost effective stuff you can do with it if you don't have it.
I have a Viper MKIV would that be adequate for bounty hunting?
You should be relatively ok if you tend to stay with system security ships, but I would get into at least a vulture asap.
Is this loadout still viable in current patch for bounty hunting?
I have an asp explorer is it with getting the vulture for bounty hunting?
Absolutely!
Bagged my first bounty today that I actually lived to return. Dragged some poor Adder out of supercruise and detonated him. Bounty was only worth about 6,500 but I'm making 700,000 off of it thanks to community goals, so that's a pretty good profit if I do say so myself
In the current version of the game, do you still have to target the power plant?
Yes :)
And now? :)
You can’t loadout like this anymore. I just tried it and the power plant can’t handle the weapons deployed. Do you have an updated video shadow?
You didn't turn off the non-essential equipment did you? haha
yeah i found that hopping in a type 7 and buying a commodity for 600+ credits per unit then selling 102 units of it at a system 2 jumps away for 7000+ cr got me 600,000+ credits of profit in about 10 minutes.
This loadout/ method still the way to go with all the horizon updates?
With some very minor alterations, yeah, it's basically still the same thing.
What station should I buy my vulture and outfit it from?
I'd suggest a high tech station since they're more likely to have a large selection of gear.
ShadowTracer don't mean to ask a bunch of questions but right now I have a cobra mk3 and I'm not sure if I should put a lot of credits into or not or do mining and I've tried doing bounties and I'm getting blown up alot and not dishing out much damage what do you suggest?
Merican BigDawg
Bennet's gateway station in the Okinura system. whole fleet in there (24 ships there for buy i think? could be wrong on that)
Total noob here. I've been playing for 10 hours. I bought an Eagle and decked it out as follows:-

1 - 2C fuel scoop
1 - 4C bi-weave shield generator
1 - 4E cargo rack
1 - 2E hull reinforcement
1 - 4point empty compartment (cant't decide what to put in there, any advice?)
I'm really loving this game so far and can't wait to get fully into it.
Good vid helped a lot cheers
Glad you liked it :)
I started playing yesterday and i had bounty from 2 anacondas for 400k+ doing only little bit of damage at the end when police was killing it :) And for sure i will try yours ship setup.
I hope it works out for you. Even though I made this tutorial quite a while ago, I think it's probably still valid with the 2.1 update.
I am new at Elite Dangerous, and just pre-order it for PS4. Anyways I am going to do some bounty hunting for a bit. I may copy your loadout and ship if that is okay? until I get use to it and better I'll do this style... I find your info useful thank you..
Aku Juo lol well that loadout will take a LONG time to get money for. Grind out first in your sidewinder
it will be close to 100 hours before you can get that ship loadout
(Christian Sanfilippo) Get a transporter and do some people transport missions only took me 20-30 hours to get this load out and a max ASP.
Srv Missions are really profitable at the beginning. You can easily make 500k and up just by destroying base power supplies.
When I went to a zone everyone was "lawless" no one said wanted. Can anyone tell me why?
That's typically what happens when you're in an Anarchy system.
And more often than not, if you've got a Kill Warrant Scanner they'll definitely have one in another system anyway.
Can anyone tell me what can I put on my Viper mk3 for bounty hunting?
None of them would be running turrets, they're the worst weapons in the game.
yes, that was about PvE
TheCookieOfDoom I seem to take damage flying the vulture
Isn't it smarter to just go to high sec systems with extraction sites and letting the Fed's shoot them while you just kinda hit them a couple times? Sure, it's a lot less engaging, but if you just reinstance (as in logging in and out) until you get big ships with massive bounties and let the Security Service do all the work while you cash in, that's a lot easier and a lot less risky.
Silvertaxx yeah i have been doing that with my Eagle to save up some money. Quite nice when you get 150k in bountys for a single ship downed at that Stage in game
Why does my vulture only has 2 hardpoints?
Puffpapasexybitch Because that's all it comes with. But those two hardpoins are for large weapons, so they pack a much bigger punch.
Nice one.
Then you have me that uses an ASPX to bounty hunt :3 It's interesting...
fyi you can get gimbaled class 4 beams
Nice tutorial
So to anyone watching in 2021, I don’t know if they changed it or what. But you don’t need the kill warrant scanner for extra money. It just won’t tell you how much, but you get the extra money per kill regardless.
I use a yellow federal Corvette.
Very good
damn today I finally got my first ship (Eagle) and got one shot by one of these anaconda ( I think)
nice tutorial !!!
Sorry to hear that :( Just try to pick on smaller ships until you work your way up to something a bit larger.
If your gonna take on an anaconda in an eagle try and stay under the ship, eagle is far more maneuverable so it’s definitely possible.
I want to get into bounty hunting, but the profit from deep core mining is just so ridiculous i feel like anything else is a waste of time.
can you run me through how you destroyed him without taking down his hull? it still said 59 but you destroyed him... sorry if this is a stupid question, im new to the game.
It's not a stupid question. I made this video quite a while ago, but the only way I can think of is that I destroyed the ship's power plant. If you destroy the power plant, the ship will explode whatever amount of hull integrity it has left.
ShadowTracer ok, thanks ^^
Unreal Megashark Np
I just got my vulture, and fuck me the parts are expensive....
Unreal Megashark Wait till you get a Fer-de-Lance or Python or even an Anaconda XD
Kinda interesting that you don't have options to take bounties alive after you disable a ship.
Wow this ship sounds like a Mack truck!!!!
I have an eagle and go into hazardous sites all the time.
vulture or fdl?
FDL
I liked the video, very helpful. But your game sounds were WAY too loud. :)
It was the early days of trying to do ED videos. It gets better.
voice is soooooo quite! i had to adjust the volume of elite and turn you up really high to be able to hear the video =(
I didn't know voices could be quite. I heard they can be quiet sometimes though....
Just go to a planet with rings and get a recourse sector with High danger not Hazard I take my loaded Viper in and I make around 2 million in 45 min of playing.
Great video, but I thought you had to wait for the feds to engage a target first??
The Veggie Cyclist If you scan them and they come up as wanted, you can open fire no problem
Oh ok, do you know if I can collect dropped cargo from destroyed ships whilst bounty hunting?
The Veggie Cyclist yes. You can legitimately take the wanted ships cargo
Ok thanks just wanted to make sure.
+Yeoj7 No problem
100k+ for a Anaconda? Lol buddy you need to switch systems you should be getting 3 to 5 times that amount try resource extraction and refinery systems they absolutely hate pirates over there
System HIP 100072 high resource best place for bounty hunting its station al-Khowarizmi Hub is 0.36 ls from it you make millions
Good tip :)
My viper wrecks on vultures on the reg lol
I use Plasma
Dood hazardous resource sites aren't that bad i went in with a cobra mk 3 and came with 120 thousand credits
Spicy Cruiser yep me too we just gang banged an anaconda and i got about 150 k
i like to wait untilli have at least 250,000 cr before i go back to base
That's a good number. As long as it's worth your time in your opinion, you're doing alright!
I wait until 1,000,000 CR, 5 or 7 federation gunships would do that.
i hate kill warrant scanners. all it does is slow me down. if you could claim any bounty remotely I would reconsider. you will end up making less money by flying all over the place to collect your kill warrant bountys when you could have been at the extraction site making more.
Stations in low security systems have an additional contact that will buy out all your bounties for a % fee and it saves you so much time.
hi, first of all thanks for create this guide, now my moan, i complety suck, i'm trying to bounty hunter with a viper but all the time they kill me and im with 1000 credits, no matter the system where i am, if is a hazardvous or high resources zone... any area for beginners that i can rak with empire?
You could try the Low Resource Extraction Sites. Other than that, my only advice is just don't pick on ships that are a lot larger than you and stick with the System Security ships.
will try it, im farming low transports and i will try to travel to the system in your video, in the station where im i doesn't selll vultures or high level ship components.
thanks!
I was able hunt and kill a few anacondas with Viepr MKIV :-)
Viper MKIV
He said “heartily” folks...
ur scab player
I would love to have given this video a thumbs up, but beginners don't have Vultures so it's kind of useless.
Obviously he explained how to bounty hunt efficient first and then what you need to do in the early Stage of your Game. Watch the whole Video before you judge.
