Not really. Nolan sees himself as being constantly in the right regardless of what he's doing. His conquest of earth is righteous, it's the ones who are fighting back who are evil. The line about absolute power corrupting is just silly to him, because in his mind he and the rest of Viltrum are doing good by spreading technology, medicine, and security through their conquest. Before the Nolan that we're going to know now (if you've watched the latest Invincible episode) All this guy wanted is to do his job but fails, But at the same time, They pretty much have that Saiyan motivation, Viltrumites are just these cold-blooded race yet that one person who now understands love, was this man, but it's still unforgivable of how much lives he took.
Can you blame him tho? He was born and raised this way and he’s killing thousands of innocent lives shouldn’t be forgivable. And the way he killed the 7 guardians was straight but brutal and almost killed his own son. He still has a bit of humanity in him so it’ll be interesting to see how they develop that.
While, on a personal level, it’s definitely unforgivable, it becomes much more debatable when analyzing it from his perspective. He’s thousands of years old and raised on a philosophy of might and conquest. To him, human beings have lifespans the equivalent of ants to us. Asking him to change his millennia-ingrained philosophy is like asking a violent 99-year old man to see ants as equals after one hour of interaction. The countless people he slaughtered is more like destroying an ant colony for us. And yet, Mark manages to bring to the surface all of that guilt and emotion that he’s actually developed over the course of his time on Earth. Does it offset the killing and destruction? Of course not, but to have even that level of emotional burden implies Nolan has developed an unavoidable human sense of goodness.

I understand there's probably some cockamani reason in the arcade mode behind them knowing the names, but it doesn't make sense out of context. Apparently Titan Shang Tsung brought Omni Man into this timeline to try and shift the power balance around (according to the lore of Omni Man's ending). I guess it makes sense during all this scheming by a timeline controlling titan (before Omni Man betrayed him) that Shang Tsung briefed Nolan on the important players here. After all, his job is literally know who is the strongest and eliminate them for Viltrumite takeover!
