The positions are just so that novices can understand the game of basketball, they don't dictate defensive schemes or duties. If your SF (Lebron) is your best ball handler, even though you have Kyrie on the team you still run the offense through Lebron. He's been performing 'Point Guard' duties for the Cavaliers, and pretty much every team he's been on. Defensively Curry would be on Jr Smith, Klay would guard Crowder, Durant would guard Lebron, Draymond would guard Love, and Zaza would guard Tristan Thompson.

How is Magic better in transition?! Lebron at his peak was the best transition player in NBA history. The only players that come close are Michael Jordan, Steve Nash (incredible vision in the open court) Magic (loved to speed the game up and great creativity too) and Jason Kidd (incredible in the open court in his prime). Giannis is probably gonna take that crown for transition king soon. Durant and Larry Legend were also monsters in the open court/transition. I would give it to prime Lebron because he was just too big, fast and strong. Plus he could finish with contact, use both hands too. I can't see anyone who is old enough to have seen Magic play say that Lebron is better. Magic was one of the greatest winners of all time. He did whatever it took to win championships. He could have averaged 35 pts a game for his career if he wanted to, but that's not how he chose to play most of the time. Whatever his team needed at the time, he got them. If they needed him to score, no one could stop him. If he needed to get his teammates going, he would always make sure to get them easy baskets. If they needed a half court shot at the buzzer to win the game, it seemed like he always made it. He was unstoppable.

If your SF (Lebron) is your best ball handler, even though you have Kyrie on the team you still run the offense through Lebron. He's been performing 'Point Guard' duties for the Cavaliers, and pretty much every team he's been on. Defensively Curry would be on Jr Smith, Klay would guard Crowder, Durant would guard Lebron, Draymond would guard Love, and Zaza would guard Tristan Thompson.

I can't see anyone who is old enough to have seen Magic play say that Lebron is better. Magic was one of the greatest winners of all time. He did whatever it took to win championships. He could have averaged 35 pts a game for his career if he wanted to, but that's not how he chose to play most of the time. Whatever his team needed at the time, he got them. If they needed him to score, no one could stop him. If he needed to get his teammates going, he would always make sure to get them easy baskets. If they needed a half court shot at the buzzer to win the game, it seemed like he always made it. He was unstoppable.

Defensively He wasn’t great as LeBron is, but he was a better passer and had better court vision and was clearly the leader of a team of Hall of Famers. And he was a closer when necessary. He won early and often in the Finals. And while he didn’t go to seven straight finals, he went to nine in eleven years, winning 5 and 3 Finals MVPs. Plus Magic had an aura about him that made basketball fun.
