This is a review of all the World Records set for Mario Kart Wii's original tracks in October 2019.
October 2019 WRs! 17 in total. This is a mixture of track specialist galore and other track improvements in the mix, making for a fun month of activity. This marks 1 year of doing this series since the first one for October 2018 last year on my old channel. Thank you all for the support and the shared enthusiasm and interest in time trials like this. Much more of this series of course as well as many others related to this coming soon in the future. Enjoy the video! :)

Nick I love the series but I think there are a few things to improve on
1.Above wr cut you could put the time of the previous wr
2. Like November’s video last year you could put the player’s mii and the flag of their nationality

Anyone who's interested, the best splits on RR now equal 02:24.438. I failed a 2:24.6xx paced run a few days after the WR, so I'll be going for more

Me and Cole got hit by the Earthquake on that night. And 20 minutes later a drunk person was driving on my street and flipped over his car and landed and police were there.Crazy day.

Would it be possible to incorporate TAS BKTs? I always find it cool to watch high level TAS. That said tho I'm really not sure how often BKTs even get improved in the TAS world
I've thought about this on and off over the past few months. I might incorporate a separate series for those eventually, but it would not be integrated into this series as this exclusively covers the 32 vanilla-tracks on 150cc (as an example 200cc, custom tracks have never been incorporated). I am definitely wanting to expand to all things time trial in this game moving forward during 2020 expanding to 200cc, custom tracks, and kart time trials. Including TAS times would be a nice way to round off recognition for all parts of the time trial community so we will see :)
For clarification, on MC3 if you hit the perfect spot on the pipe, you lose 0 milliseconds. This is done on the 1:17.375 TAS on MC3 by Akari and Marth... also, hitting the poles on the Rainbow Road figure-8 section loses time

Oh my god I'd love to see kart TT videos on this channel. Karts are so under appreciated and we (I'm a kart and bike player) get left out of the spotlight quite often. You can feel free to reach out to any of us for karting tips and info. Great content as always Nick!

I'm generally a Kart Main, and I agree that KWRs are really underappreciated. (I think I once asked you about a KWR series on stream.) Ando is actually a great karter and he's had a lot of records.

Nick I got a question for your, how long do you think mkwii time trials will go. Since while there are a lot of improvements, most of them are under .1 or even under .01. I feel like since a lot of them are getting so close to the best known splits at some point most of the times will either be impossible to improve or so hard that it’ll be a pain to grind. Aka what I call the Mario kart heat death. Do you think that’ll happen within a few years, or do you think we have a long way to go
A record will never be unbeatable
Nao not being rude or anything but that means the time will eventually match the tas record. Yeah not very likely. I just feel like we’re not going to get very many impressive improvements anymore

Good question. I'll first off say that no record is ever impossible to beat. They will always be broken eventually, it's just a matter of when.

This is the first Mario Kart created in 1992, 27 years ago. Super Mario Kart boasts much simpler driving mechanics and therefore these times are a lot easier to "max out" if that makes sense, and records are still being broken on a monthly basis at some points! Mario Kart Wii has been around for a little more than 11.5 years. We have a looooooong way to go. Even consider a game older than that which is Super Mario Bros. released in 1985, nearly 35 years ago, and they are still grinding the any% category by sub-pixel margins the last few years. All of that to say... this game has a long way to go :)
That the best item tactic in mk un 1st is drop the banana or fib on the inside of the corner, you take the corner quicker than others behind. This is how you move up the mind game too on every corner in first.
Petition to change the fast staff ghosts to these.
