I just ordered a bunch of seeds for my spring garden.
I bought your Daikon radish seeds at a local nursery and had no clue it was yours. LOLOL I just cut out the middle man as gas prices are through the roof. Thank you for sharing your expertise and the collaboration! I am in Zone 10b and it is still brutally hot down here. 😊
Do you have the not-a-jalapeño seed? The not hot version of jalapeño seed. Thank you, I love all the improvements of your videos and website. ♥️
Not Hawaii🙄
not GUAM😢
Nice to have someone in a lower zone to cater to us!
😊😊😊😊😊”a@€
Q❤
Hmm lower numerically or geographically
@@sirsanti8408 lower growing zone
Assuming you mean lower geographically. If so, completely agree. I’m in TX so was thrilled to see someone from here who understands our heat and how full sun doesn’t mean full Texas sun.
Yes!! I am in North Houston and was at a loss as to what to grow in this September heat!
3:01 I think hearing "this is an asbestos free variety" when talking about vermiculite just have me a new irrational fear
Honestly same when Jacques dropped that - Kevin
Not to sound like a broken record but as a New Englander I LOVE that you had some guests from different grow zones and even from my neck of the woods 🥹 I swear your channel just keeps getting better and better ❤ you and Jacques always keep me inspired in the garden and I honestly can’t think of a more iconic duo 😎😎🧑🏻🌾🧑🏻🌾
You've become one of my favorite gardening channels. Every new video gets me absolutely excited to go out and improve my gardening in some way. Thank you for featuring gardeners from other zones, too. As a gardener from 5b, it's nice to see.
This means a lot to see
Agree with all of this!
I love how you are now including people from zones from all over the country. Specifically Texas
I have officially started my garden on my apartment balcony because of y’all. Thank you
Love to hear it!
Yessss! Balcony gardening for the win!
So happy to be back on the Epic Gardening channel (: September is the perfect month to keep growing!
For your kale, please try the Dutch dish Boerenkoolstamppot :-)
Crushed it Msg :)
@@MB-co6qj this sounds so interesting! I will definitely give it a try :)
You were great. Ask for more air time.
You were great! What is attracting those huge butterflies and what nail polish is that? 🙂
G'day!
I'm thoroughly enjoying this and had to pause to comment straight away. It's actually the first day of Spring here in Australia (Sept 1), but I'm enjoying all the people sharing what they are doing and it gets me excited about the fruit and veggies I'm working on in this side of the planet.
Really good stuff team!
All the best.
Daz.
Happy spring!
All the guest gardeners are great. I learned a lot about growing in colder climates where I live in New England, and how to grow in Texas where my mom lives.
Love all the butterflies behind Meg ❤ she picked the perfect spot to film
The butterflies were paid actors 🦋
No doubt! Would you mind sharing the name of that giant flower behind you in the video you bribed them with?
This may sound silly but seeing your people with dirty hands, feet and fingernails was so refreshing..! Seriously, so relatable! I had to watch it again to see what you were actually talking about I was so distracted. This is what real gardening is. Love your channel so much. Thank you from a 9a gardener
Means a lot to hear!
I noticed that, as well, and LOVED IT!
Thanks for adding suggestions for different zones! Would be helpful to have each person's zone at the bottom of the screen during all their segments.
Thank you for including Danielle! As a Canadian transplant to Greater Houston I've been struggling with gardening in the heat and humidity. I'd love to see more seasonal tips and updates from Danielle! ~ Patricia
Thank you for bringing on other zone gardeners, it really helps. The lettuce trick SOLVED my mystery as to why sometimes lettuce is great and sometimes an epic fail. Mine emerged from seedling then just halted growth. I shall try again!😸👩🌾
Faithful viewer here. Been loving the Epic Gardening channel for many years. So exciting to see some of the guest gardeners. Katie is in the next town over-- how fun! Hi from Chisago City, MN. Happy Gardening! ❤🌿
This video is out of this world! Specific veggies that we wouldn't think of to plant in the fall.
❤ all of the zone reps! Being a TX gal I really appreciate Dagny’s reporting. Do more of these type of these topics!
So excited to see Katie and some representation from Minnesota! The range of zones you guys are covering at this point is awesome . Now time to go plant some Carnival Blend carrots …
More to come!
Zukinni go ham in zone three and four. Will need to treat for white fungus after july. Ive got torpedoes for days, have to say hands down the strongest crop so far three years into this adventure.
This was super fun - Thanks for having me!
Any time Katie!
All of your guests were wonderful. It was fun learning what others are starting in their gardens. I started following Kevin several years ago because he was local for me and I needed advice for my area, so seeing the channel expand so that others can get that "local" insight is amazing! Thank you to everyone!
So many good things to grow still! Best garden crew ❤ glad to be back 🌱
Thanks for showcasing not just other zones, but other content creators. Have learned a million things, and appreciate it all. Much love.
Awesome to see a Massachusetts gardner!
I found Meg and the Minnesota lady the most helpful for my climate. I am in a weird pocket of northern California. With climate modifiers that keep it mild and humid all year round. It also doesn't get as cold here, which means i will be able to grow what they mentioned throughout the whole winter and maybe into early summer.
Sounds like we're on sort of the same area. We get frosts every so often but never snow. I'm excited to try these tips!
Love all the hosts! Jac always giving us new and unique plant suggestions. And really enjoyed a full spectrum of growing experts so EVERY VIDEO speaks to us all, and not just certain videos. Something I think is important that isn't addressed often, for those who only listen to their zones, the other suggestions outside of your zones cab be treated as ANNUALS!!! So texas can grow bush beans now, but save that info for colder zones for summer planting next year! ...so the whole video is helpful for everybody. Welcome to the platform Katie & Danielle!!! Katie, love that you show the package instructions for a quick screen grab. And your dirty nails is sooo authentic with sandle gardening! #relatable 😅. Your voice is so easy to listen to. And welcome back Meg & Dagny! The information you gave us is so practical and easy to digest. Miss your Canadian gardener in this video... but too many chefs in the kitchen, I'm sureeee. Her propagation video was a lot to soak in!
Two suggestions for the future: can we be reminded the growing zone each expert is in after their name tag is shown. So it's easier to apply their advice to our growing conditions more easily. Maybe a lightly transparent note in the corner. And I know there's so many great gardeners in India and Africa! Would love to see this spectrum expand beyond just USA or western countries. How could that apply to us? With global warming, many garderners are going to have to change their tactics...and what better way than to learn what works in places that's already experiencing severe water limitations or monsoon weather season. Aside from the environmental education, it can also expand your viewers to other cultures and have us all relate to each other through our interest of gardening! Would be so cool to have a Columbian give us a tour of their vegetable garden under the canopy of the rainforest!
Thank you for your amazing platform, Kevin!
I just said the same thing! Hey there all my dirty nailed friends and flip-flop gardeners!!!
This is all such great feedback. 😊
Really great suggestions and reasoning for having guest gardeners in other zones and countries. Another reason would be to see and learn all about the different and exotic, to us Westerners, the fruits and vegetables commonly used or original to other countries cuisine.
Parsley! Northern temperate climate, and I sow parsley now. They will sprout in March when the frost recedes.
I also sow ones in March, but they take 6-7 weeks just to sprout.
By sowing both spring and autumn, I have parsley for most of the year.
This is so cool that you have different zones sharing info too. Everyone was super informative and crystal clear. Amazing job everyone and Epic Gardening for orchestrating this.
All new guests were great but really liked Meg - good energy!
Aww thank you!! 🫶🏼 Everyone was so great! ❤️
She's great!
Keep ALL the guests! Fabulous adds. Different zones (6b here.)😊
Thank you for featuring gardeners from other growing zones. This was a good kick in the pants to get more growing, right now. ~ Lisa
LOVE that you included one from MN! As a former minnesota resident its nice to see options for that climate. I would love to see someone in TN as well! Thanks!
Loved ALL of your guests but Katie was especially endearing. ❤
As a 9b resident, I hope to grow 15 items this fall, succession planting every 10 days. Planting this weekend after I remove some crazy summer rain weeds. Hope my spearmint will flourish in a pot.
I enjoyed them all. Refreshing to hear other zone gardeners selections, hints.
I am in Houston Texas. Kevin's/Jacques area is usually sort of close to mine, outside the super heat of the summer, and I can adapt Meg's pretty easily. But obviously Danielle is the best! Yeah, it's definitely that hot down here still. I really appreciate how you folks have such a range of temperatures. Katie's world is surreal to me; it's going to be 102F tomorrow and the forecast has highs of 100+ through the next two weeks. And they're about to get about frost up there?!
This video had some great suggestions and a few things I'm already doing. I liked Meg's idea of the rapini broccoli (though it will be a while for me) as I had not heard of that one. I have some King Richard leeks that I just started last week; I will be succession starting those for the next several months as I fine tune what timing works best for my area. I'm going to be planting parsnips and some longer maturity time carrots in the next few days, with more carrots in a month or so. I just started some cascadia snap peas (I'm thinking it was *way* too optimistic to start them this early) and some navy beans.
Love all your guests and really appreciate the mix of growing zones and favourites. I pay most attention to Dagny’s segments as a fellow zone 6er, but I enjoy hearing from everyone!
I really love seeing what I can grow in Massachusetts and what everyone else is growing all over ❤ please keep doing these video collections ❤
As long as we don't have less Potato Daddy and Mad Hatter I don't mind any new additions! 30mins videos, FTW, muchachos. Great additions, thanks for all the good work!
We'll always be on the channel!
Been meaning to do this for 7 days, hope it's not too late! Was hoping to use cold frames for some winter gardening.
I like that she mentioned kale chips. I make bok choy chips in my air fryer as well. So good!!!
Omg that sounds amazing. Never tried making chips with bok choy but I will now!
@@meggrowsplants girl, with some Lawry’s garlic salt, it’s 🔥!
@@jessicawright4102 noted!! 📝
I can’t tell you which person I enjoyed most! It’s like choosing your favorite child! Lol. I love this style, short, informative, clear , concise and most of all inspiring! Thank you all!
Enjoyed everyone. All the butterflys in Meg's garden are amazing; also, great choice on the Celebration ale!
I love that you included several different zones. We all need help. 🌸😊🌸
This was an excellent episode because of the mix of zones, it made it much easier to decide what seeds to get or experiment with!thank you
Enjoyed all the guest gardeners... Liked hearing ideas from different zones. Well done as always.
Great video and info! I’m getting back into vegetable gardening after being so discouraged by pests and disease in years past. This has been the year of experimentation for me, and your videos keep me excited about gardening! And being in 6a, hearing from cooler zones is much appreciated 😊
The bugs/worms got me too and made me feel totally defeated 😢
Meg and Danielle are great. Jac will always be my favorite! It would be cool to see a Florida gardener introduced at some point.
This is one of the most helpful gardening videos I’ve ever seen. All your posts are awesome! Thank you for sharing! I’ll be planting a ton of these tomorrow!
Love seeing all of your guests. Great to hear what other gardeners are doing in all the zones.
Perfectly timed video thanks homies
Loved all the new contributors! I am in South OC, so I am pretty close to your zone, so it’s always nice to see a variety of places represented. And of course, Jacques is always a pleasure.
What a fantastic format! As someone who has property in swampy Piedmont region and currently searching for property in the much colder mountain regions... THIS IS GREAT!!!
Loved all these new guest, please keep them in the rotation!
the Epic guests were great.
I just found your channel it. Having different guest gardeners and different zones really helps me gaining a better idea of what to grow.
This is a great video I'm glad you connected with gardeners all over💚
11:10 "and choose my favourite to save"
Like a petty deity 😂😂😂
Awesome collab 💚🌱
Thank you! 🤗
Love these vids. I’m in a colder climate so it helps immensely to get the variety from your guests. Loved all. Thanks!
You have beautiful hands and kind hearts
I hope you keep all your epic guests. They were all helpful. Need to get some King Richard leek seeds as that looks a new addition to the garden.
Nice to have someone who talks about all the different zones thank God
I put the tomato plants out of their misery.....it was the only human thing to do lol
Love seeing the cold Midwest represented! More please! ❤
Just picked up another 8 in 1 and a round Birdie! Had my other ones for two years and love them!! Now I'll have more room to put your advice into action!! Thanks for all the great videos!!
I really enjoy watching your videos, especially because I’m in San Diego too! I love the weather here, we have many more options then when I was living up in Northern California, longer grow season down here or I get 2 grows out of a plant. I’m in year 2 with my artichokes snd to my surprise I got artichokes the first year, I’m going to get the other ones you suggested too! Thank you so much again for your educational videos, appreciate them so much!! Even tho I’ve been in the garden growing since I was 9 yrs old with my dad, i don’t feel like anywhere near an expert, I’m 58 yrs old now. So wow, I’ve been gardening for 50 yrs , where does the time go.
All of them !! They held my attention and none of them were jarring in your editing transitions. Wonderful choices. Even though I am in Zone 9 I like to learn about growing in other zones.
I love you sir. I’ve learned so much from you and I love everyone of your guests. They are excellent and knowledgeable. I’m learning so much from all of you and I’m so grateful for your wealth of knowledge.
Love seeing so many tips and gardeners in different zones. Can we get someone around 7a/b. Just moved and struggling.
Hi there ❤ I am in zone 7b!
That's Meg!
Perfect: Now planning my October sowings for here in the south of the UK. zone 8/9 🌱
Enjoyed all of them. Hoping you bring them back.
Very interesting, lots of info...I appreciate hearing from different gardeners in the different zones 👏👏💚
The video is packed full of great veggie selections to plant this waning summer and beginning fall! Thanks for sharing all!
I agree with Danielle about using an inoculant for beans! Had great success this year, but I like her method of making that paste to soak the seeds in. Thanks!
I might need to try this. The first two years seriously gardening, I had success with bush beans, but the last two years have been terrible.
So far I haven't had success with any beans other than Dragon Tongue beans. The germination rate was nearly 100%
Didn't know bok choy would do a 2nd harvest! And I'm literally shopping for my first Birdie's beds while I watch this.
Always great content! I'm in zone 5b so I really appreciate getting some northern advice.
I enjoyed ALL of your Guests!!!❤ Such great information ❣ thank you 🥰
I love every one of the Epic guest gardeners! Even though I am in CA, zone 9, in the Central Valley, it is wonderful to get ideas and watch other gardeners and their planting methods! 🙃
Great video! Really like the different experts in their zones.
I really liked hearing from zone 6b they are not that far off from me zone wise. I found her very informative for planting fall crops. This is a concern of mine as I have never planted fall crops before and I am nervus of the unpredictable first frost.
Loved to hear from all those zones. Soooo interesting and informative!!! Great idea!!!
This is definitely one of my favorite videos you guys have done in this style and I really appreciate the wide range of growing zones featured, especially a colder climate/shorter growing season such as Minnesota. Will be saving this to my gardening tips playlist so I can revisit. Also was excited to see some Epic Gardening products at my local family owned garden nursery. Just picked up a couple Epic garden bags.
Loving the guests! I've started following Meg and Katie! But I do miss Chris from Vancouver....bring her back!!!Thanks for the tips 👍🏻
I've gotten really excited about root veggies this year! I just pulled a nice bunch of Chioggia beets, and since the weather has been starting to get cooler, they were amazingly sweet. I've also been growing turnips for the first time, and the golden ball variety has performed really well for me. I've gotten a few huge ones, probably close to 4" wide. I planted the first batch after the solstice, but I'm glad I got another batch going a couple weeks ago.
I love these collaborations!! So much info in a short time!
I absolutely loved this video! It was so informative. I ordered a bunch of seeds to try and plant my first fall garden but your video was such an inspiration and the visuals of seed planting was just right for us novice gardeners. Thank you for the great information! And a great big thank you to all of your presenters, they were all great! ~a grandma watching from Norfolk, Virginia~
Epic video for warm weather climates. After this I know that I can have a robust and delicious garden for fall, early winter and even spring for those over wintering picks. Thank you. I particularly loved the temperature mentions. Both those for germination and tolerance. Thank you for the time and talent that went into the comprehensive roundup!
hi kevin & guests 🤗
i garden in socal/zone 10 and appreciate you featuring other growing zones.
i may not be able to afford the raised beds right now, but i do buy botanical interest seeds. ive purchased them for years and have never had an issue. glad to see the brand under the "epic" umbrella. tfs
LOVED ALL OF YOU GUYS!!!!
Very nicely done, love the fact that you've included other zones. I would appreciate more ideas, suggestions and advice on growing in hot climates as I am in the middle east. Btw, came to the US and went crazy buying your seeds ;))
I love sorrel there some other cool varieties and relatives like red veined sorrel and patience dock. Red veined sorrel grows red leaves packed with high nutrients. Patience dock grows big edible leaves that taste like spinach.
Loved the cold zone plant infor. I’m in San Diego CA. Zone 8a. Already have had 14 -104 temps this yr. Please more cold and heat tolerant plant infor.
@ the 9:15 run time, the most majestic butterfly appears just behind Meg 🦋
Just ordered 2 raised beds! Can't wait for fall in zone 9b, Nor CA. Thanks for all the inspo!!!
I'm doing fall gardening for the first time this year, so seeing a video like this is very exciting! I'm trying pak choi, spinach, carrots and radishes. (I'm in a cold winter area, zone 6)
Fantastic picks!
All great for zone 6 🙌
Great work ladies, well presented and explained ❤
You too Dagny, Meg, Danielle and Katie ... LOL
Thanks! I have some lettuce and chard coming up, and your August video encouraged me to show some other plants that didn’t produce some attention and they have buds! Everyone’s got about 35 days to do their thing…
So excited for a Minnesota grower!
So happy to have a San Diego farmer close. I live in Lancaster,ca. I appreciate the way u do growing in pots. Thank u 4 the info
😊❤😂
19:40 she had the most beautiful butterfly in the shot!! Beautiful garden
