And has to do with a imbalance of "good feel" hormones in your brain. When you've been really sad for a long time and then suddenly something happens that makes you happy, you get more happy than normal sometimes. It's usually temporarily though and it goes away and then you forget about what makes you happy and you go back to the reality of feeling depressed.
