I was out in the field and needed to figure out how to splice a fence. Great video, to the point with no waffle. Now my fence looks great. Thank you!

Great job Art! I just love this fencing. It's going to totally be beautiful to look at as well as great to keep animals in the pasture of all sorts! Not just a cow but goats, sheep, even your chickens could run in there. Such a wonderful job.

Thoroughly enjoy your vlogs. We are currently looking for a place to go from back yard homesteading, to room for livestock and a bigger garden. I'm already handrearing a 2 day old lamb that was deserted. What a great lifestyle. 😊

Thanks for this video! I was out in the field with this same fencing. I had an idea what to do, but I think my idea would have been unnecessary work. Your splice looks clean, simple and strong! Thanks

Cut both pieces of fence ends, overlap by one fence square then tie both ends of each fence section together. Two tied ends is way stronger when stretching the fence tight.

Thanks for all the tips, Arthur. I've been particularly following your fencing videos as we are putting a perimeter fence around the farm. I've never worked on woven-wire fences before but I'm confident I can get my hands to do this. For planning purposes, what would you say is the most critical step in the whole process? Blessings.

Looks easy just wont hold up under strain. Use a speed knott instead. Even a fig 8 knott would be better.

Art, you talked about cows eating the metal. Have you ever heard of cow magnets?
I was elping my neighbor rebuild a harrow and we found one that had stuck to part of the framework of the harrow. When I saw it my buddy told me it was a cow magnet. I looked at him like he had two heads. But Mr. Google pants proved him right.

Michael Ponte yep, we had cow magnets in school when we learned about magnets. They didn't look like that though, they were one solid piece and pretty heavy. I found their preferred orientation interesting! I didn't know that but I believe it. I can not sleep east/west. It has to be north/south preferably south. I think that's a feng shui thing too. My son has sensory issues and he hates being on his back. Even when he was an infant.. it made changing diapers a challenge. I remember feeling sensations of falling when I was on my back when I was younger as well. Especially looking up at the moving clouds.

I am the same way about being on my back. Can not sleep that way.
