Principles of Design: Balance

Sometimes rules of composition can seem a bit vague. As a beginner, they might sound a bit like 'I'll know it when I see it'. But I find the idea of 'visual balance' to be more concrete, and easy to envision. It's not the only way to arrange compositions, but it's a great tool.
