- Off season means time to dip our toes in uncharted territory. After the Street Kings race in Bradenton, I decided to put my Suzuki GSXR 1000 to the roll race test in the STREET.
The roads were a lot different from what we had tested on and the wheelbase on the bike was too long. I had the wheel as far up in the swingarm as it would go and I still had to run 11 psi in the tire to make it hook. The low tire psi killed our top mph in the 1/2 mile and 9/10th of a mile. All new parts are on order and we will head south again SOON!!!

I have that same ryobi tire filler, works like a dream, is slow sometimes but definitely cool and compact.
Hate to be the nerd here, but I like you guys. At 6:45, you should NEVER hold any electronic device near fuel vapor, and should probably not make any contact with the fuel tank while you're fueling. Static electricity can ignite those fumes in an instant and cause severe burns. I know, it happened to a friend of mine when he was refueling his race car. Please be careful.
So in another video you were street racing against another group and you were wheeling and the other guys were winning. What was done to their bikes so that they pulled away so cleanly?

_Mexico_ is an awful lot more accommodating in the pandemic! Back in them olden days, the staging area would be an, err, "impound lot". 😉
Add: Next time you're north of the border, swing through west Texas for your T&T. There's sections that are arrow straight that you can see to the horizon. The posted limit is 85, but I've had cops tail me over a hundred telling me to speed up or I'd get stuck in the desert by nightfall, haha.
You're gonna like the turning radius on the 450, it's noticeably better than a 350/3500 or 250/2500.

The Mexico thing is played out bro. Australia sounds much better....... Cause the chances of u being in Australia racing vs. Mexico is about the same.
The difference is, in Mexico you can pretty much buy your way out of anything with the right donation to the law. In Australia, if ya'll are caught street racing, you ARE going to jail, and your bike WILL be confiscated.

My opinion and sorry about that is that you dont have to get involved with the roll racing scene.Its an invasion of skilless riders that cant start their bikes and as all street racing its all about cheating no starting line no finish line.If all those wannaby riders like 650 EJR 5up think they have skills and they are fast why dont they go to a track with prestage stage starting point with no time result and finish line to show their (lack of) skills?There are records waiting for you to break dont loose your time playing with youtubers.

Drag racing, roll racing, circle track racing even with a light people can still get a good jump whether because someone is sleeping or just from excitement. If people want to chase someone that jumped that's on them, no different then Grudge racing. Also every race Chris showed had a finish line aswell so I dont know what video you're watching. Most people don't do alot of dig racing not because of "skill" but drag racing in general is more expensive on the pocket. Anything is more than doable with practice stop making drag racing this do all skill, you sound like the Messi riders. Lmbo.

Chris can you please do a video about suspension and how it works as far as drag racing etc. No one has a video about air shock and how they work or m2 etc for drag racing chassis.
For starters, go watch Chris's video's and pay attention to the rear of the bikes as they launch. Slowing down the video speed or going frame by frame is pretty revealing. Basically, they squat and hold. You can really see it clearly on Big Kountry's Busa, with that big tail section. The launch is a balancing act between the rear suspension, tire pressure, throttle or power sent to rear wheel, clutch tune and how much and how fast it sends that power to the rear wheel... If the rear suspension doesn't collapse some and is rigid, the more likely you are to send to much power to the wheel and she'll spin. Similar with the tire pressure, if she's to high, your not only on less of a contact patch but the rigidity of the tire can cause it to spin....and that's for starters....(I apologize if you knew this already) but as Chris mentioned here, for his street bike, with this very long swing arm, means there's less weight on the rear tire. so he needs low pressure to get it to hook up. But that detail increase rolling resistance and hurts top end. Everything is a trade off...peace.
@@raynic1173 thank you for taking the time to write all of that. I know exactly what you are talking about. I don't run a air shock and no one talks about the amount of air pressure and what it does in relation.
@@uberdriver5711 yeah, well, speaking in general terms the more air pressure the stiffer it is. Plus if it also has an external spring(?) then you have two force resistors to play with, or a solenoid for multi stage pressure options. Kind of like preload and spring rate (mechanical) and hydraulic damping via valving and the clickers on your normal sport bike suspension... and pretty much no one going to tell you all their tricks. Going to the manufacturer or deal might give you some good suggestions or data. If you're using their product, they want you to succeed.

@@elgar6743 Oh, my mistake...at 180, gear is the difference in people puree or chunky soup.
Dead is dead and going down at 180 on public streets is a good way to guarantee you get there regardless of how much gear you wear...unless you happen to go down on top of a horseshoe and slide to a safe stop in a patch of 4 leaf clovers. There are far too many obstacles on the side of the road and sliding into a sign post or guardrail at 100+mph results in you no longer being in one piece, to put it in the least gruesome way possible.
I'm not saying that gear isn't important and I always at least a jacket, gloves, and helmet. But at speeds above about 70 or so, survival is a matter of luck even in full gear.

Great move you will love it.The 450 has the best turning radius out there.I would’ve went with the 7.3 gas engine only 1-2 mile difference in fuel mileage.New engine 12-14 maybe it could be less because of the bigger tires but no it won’t be as good as the dodge diesel but I’d give up as many miles a gallon to just to keep a ford.If I quit driving ford trucks I’d buy Toyotas

Does anyone do custom front swingarm pivots to raise the front to get the anti-squat back from flattening the swingarm. Its a road racing thing but I feel like it would help launches.
in drag racing squatting is a good thing. If you noticed, with all the anti squat geometry for road racing. What did MotoGP do....They have as a launch control features, devices, that squat the front and back of the bike, similar to drag racing.

We ride in S. Mexiflo, like 95% of the year!!! Most of the UA-camrs don’t have a clue on the amount of riders we have, it always good to see them though. Great racing!
