As someone living in Lebanon i can 100% confirm this. People from all political affiliations and religious backgrounds went to help and donate blood even though the victims were mostly from 1 background. It was really heartwarming.

Not really, not anymore than the dozens of other incidents which happened from independence day till now. This is showing a deep lack of knowledge on this country and its communities. We never agreed on much, and this incident is not going to change that important part, give it some time when you are not under the emotions anymore.
I think Lebanon and Israel both have too many competing interests within their own governments and social structures. Like so much internal strife, with so many different people making their own alliances that undermine their own overall goals that they set for themselves. I don’t think any leader, of any group or government in that region of the world, has the best interest of their people in mind. The corruption is rampant. And their own selfish actions have put them in the situation they are in now. And no matter what, all of those leaders will be deposed or end up ☠️ by the end of this. And millions will end up being killed, or just have their lives ruined worse than they already are. Our world is a horrible place at the moment.
