Using the branded MONO power supply is key. A Strymon's housing, for example, is very wide and blocks useable top surface. You have no choice but to velcro it against the underside of the rails. You can't run patch cables cleanly. It would be ideal if MONO had a lower support lip/table power devices that are too bulky.
Yeah unfortunately it didn't come with any mounts and zipties for underneath the board. I actually ordered some and will probably cover that when I do an updated pedalboard walkthrough!
Thoughts on a potential future board. Right now I have a pretty budget friendly board to some degree but once I find a job I'm thinking of a smaller compact board. Here's what I'm thinking... HX Effects, dunlop mini vp, either chroma console or synesthesia for mod and then either the stomp or iridium but I can't decide. My plan for the hx effects is to use it for drives, delays and verb and then I'll have a compressor, eq and possibly a reverb and those will always be on. I think I'm gonna go with the board you used here and then an mxr mini iso brick power supply. What are your thoughts? Biggest question is the mod and amp modelers. I can see the stomp being useful if i wanted some extra effects and just have two amps that are always on and run those parallel along with extra stuff like maybe a pog or something. Haven't gotten that far yet
Hey Adam, great to hear from you! Hope all is well. At 12:03 I added the Pitch Fork to blend in an upper octave, and right after that I combined it with the Julia for some vibrato
Hey Sam! Just curious how you got your MC6 Pro programmed with the Revelation v3, Eternity, and Lamb? Working on my setup now with it and I can’t seem to get it figured out since they don’t have the eternity in their midi dictionary with Morningstar LOL
Hey Allen! For sure, I just went to the Jet Pedals manuals for each of them here: docs.jetpedals.com/ From there I just went to the MIDI sections to see what each of the messages were, and also to see how to change the MIDI channel for each of them. Happy to help out with any other questions though, hope that helps!
@@SamWittek Awesome! Thanks a lot - I should have thought about looking for the manual online… LOL I’m just getting the hang of their preset system on the format of their pedals. Still not 100% on how to save more than a few - trying to make song specific presets and it’s tougher than I expected ha.
Full signal chain is tone press compressor > EHX Pitch Fork > 1981 LVL > JHS Superbolt > Mosky Golden Horse > Walrus Audio Julia > Volume Pedal (and tuner) > Jet Pedals Eternity > Jet Pedals Revelation. From there I'm going into two Strymon Iridiums for my amps
Very weird, you're sure it's coming from the board and not the guitar potentially? Could also be worth looking into a DI or line isolator like the Pinstripe Pedals DISO+ that has a ground lift.
Last sunday, they mute me bcoz of that sound for awhile then they tried to unmute me ground loop was gone till end of the praise and worship songs. They guitar hums once i get lost touch on the strings. I noticed that i if i touch the knobs of any of my pedals the ground loop stops. I am almost frustrated hahaha.
It's actually not too big of an issue for me! The clean power certainly helps, and I also think the Porter Pickups helped a lot compared to the stock pickups I used to have.
What made you switch from the el Capistan, to timeline, to the eternity? If im wanting to get upgrade to a high quality, versatile delay in a small footprint, do you think the EL Capistan satisfies all the delay needs?
I initially switched to the timeline because I wanted more options, and I also wanted the ability to use presets with MIDI. Then switched to the Eternity because I wanted to downsize my board. LOVE the Eternity but I may be switching back to the TimeLine pretty soon. That's a great question though, if you're mainly going to use a tape delay sound then the El Cap is probably my vote. If you're looking for something a little more versatile though, the Eternity is killer. You'd get more delay types + presets, and in a smaller footprint. Can't go wrong with either!
It was kind of a gut thing, I was recently asked to play on some projects this year and my first thought was "man I wish I still had my strymons for these." And that's when I knew lol@@erickdiaz6152
I have tonex. Revelation. Eternity. Julia. I can't for the life of me decide what drives I want. I want 3 stages. Some considerations are as follows.... Protein & kilt Lion & Lamb Still maybe need a boost? Idk Help me Jesus! I can't decide!
Those are all good options! Personally I love trying new drives pretty often, so mine are somewhat of a revolving door haha. But at the very least I always look for at least 2 drives and a boost. That gives me a couple different flavors and then a boost for bigger sections
Yep! I'm sharing a power slot to power 2 pedals with low ma. I'm pretty sure it's the golden horse and tuner that are sharing a slot if I remember correctly
Thanks for all this information Sam! I'm sure hundreds of people will benefit from this video 👏
Thanks man! 🙌🏻

thankyou for the tip tony
Thanks for checking out the video! 🙌🏻
Also leave space for your feet! 😀 Happened to me!
Haha this is true!
Haha love this! I also use pedal playground and made the big mistake of not considering cabling , as you mentioned. Great video!
Haha it's happened to us all 😂 Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thanks for tips, i was hoping to see how you would tie down all the power cables and loose bits

I see you got that Matt Hoopes drive on there 😎
Yessir! He crushed it with this pedal 🔥

If you are going to get a hx effects and a stomp then just get a helix or helix lt at that point
Sam, nice sounds. How were you getting that sound at around 12:03? I’m pretty sure it was a combination of pedals. Hope you’re doing well.

@@SamWittek Ah, cool. I dig it!
Can the mono rails accommodate Strymon power supplies?
Not 100% if they'll work with the MONO mounting brackets, but there's definitely enough space underneath to fit a Zuma or Ojai

@@allenhafner151 Haha yeah there's a lot of good info in the manuals! Especially around saving presets and everything. Definitely a great resource!

Unless I missed it, didn’t hear about your full signal chain, including whether your mic’ing an amp, your using amp sim.

sick content! Are you using the Small Rail version?
Yessir! Absolutely loving it ❤
I just change my power supply. Using Zuma now, but my pedalboard still has ground loop not sure where its coming from

How tou deal with the “HUM” from the singlecoils on high volume? Did you isolate the spot with cooper or ?

Hi Sam, no Strymon delay or reverb on this board - how come?
Revelation and eternity is doing those jobs
Believe it’s because he’s working with a smaller board for mono, Strymons won’t fit:
Hey Dan! Decided to replace them with the Revelation and Eternity, I've been so impressed with them and wanted to try something different!
Where did the iridium’s go?
Still here! Just on the smaller mini-board, I had it off to the side in this video
Sounds great! What ir? Still greenback and benson?
