  • In 2020 I start walking the Camino de Santiago in one-day stages due to the lack of accommodation due to Corona.
The first part of my camino begins at Jakobsplatz in Munich in the Monastery am Anger. In the Church of the Poor School Sisters, one learns that with a population of tens of thousands, up to 60,000 pilgrims visited Munich in the Middle Ages.
You hike along the Isar through the natural beauties of the Isar valley: the renatured river bed, the local recreation area on the Flaucher, etc.
At Sendling, the path surprises me with two messages: "Leave no one behind" and "No Fear".
At the Marienklause I visit a small chapel and then cross the Isar.
The way continues to the Großhesseloher bridge, where I climb back up to the high bank.
In Pullach I have lunch at the Rabenwirt on the Isar terrace, of course with a non-alcoholic Pilgrim wheat beer!
Strengthened like this, I continue to Höllriegelskreuth and board the S-Bahn home.
