In March of this year, just days after celebrating her birthday with us, my grandmother passed away. She was the first close family member that I have lost. The entire time her health failed I showed no emotion. When she passed I found no tears, no grief. I was so angry at myself for not being like everyone else. I sat alone at my desk and listened to this song in the dark. It allowed me to find a way to mourn, a way to express emotion that is familiar to me. Beautiful.
not sure about that. I've been a Dallas Green fan from the beginning. Same for Mathew. It's not a competition. Dallas has his own issues and it comes through his music. We the fans benefit from the music
This is the purest example of why I haven’t bought a ticket to see him live. Sure, he won’t care about my reasons but it’s well documented how he changes the songs when live. Sing the songs the way you record them. People feel short changed when they pay to see you perform the song. I’m well aware of his bi polar disorder but for fuck sakes, people pay for what they know to be good. When you change it because you think it’s better; you’re hoping the general public will think the same and it’s not right.
You forget that songwriters are artists and have the latitude to change/improvise as they go along. Listen to classical music, different conductors, different orchestras and different instruments have different arrangements. It’s all part of the show.
Canada's best kept secret! Always amazes me he doesn't get more attention.
A more modern Leonard Cohen. I’m not just saying it. Spectacular.
he is so great, he doesn´t need a Band anyway, he touches your soul anyway...

Paul Seitz ❤I hope you've comfort within your self.
This guy really deserves more attention...
I am a HUGE fan, wish he'd visit NL more often
This is 100% pure music. Love it ❤🌹🇨🇦
makes me melt too
It's kind of nice to have him all to ourselves though he deserves way more attention. So talented...
i agree, dude. saw him two nights ago in St. John's touring with OLP. He didn't get near the ovation he deserved. Should've been the headliner IMO
Lucky enough to be there for this.. best version of this song ever.. it was/is amazing
Watching from Australia. Love MG
One of the best songs ever written

Stop shivering
Ima in love with all of us.. Thanks

Incredibly kind words.
This song reminds me of Netscape, Geocities websites and message forums
sorry.. Forgot to say you're welcome
I love this song, but Matthew's quivering voice he is changing up the melody at times too much
Dallas green has nothing on him
Just can’t get into Dallas Green. He’s good, but I just don’t feel the sincerity that Matt Good conveys. Like fine wine and cheap beer.
