How to do the "Interpolation" ??

(( I made a mistake in plugging the equation in the calculator, but the method is very clear and easy )).
I have corrected that mistake using some UA-cam notifications.

thank you that was really helpful. i noted that you made a mistake putting values in calculator i.e. after equal sign on the right of equation ou put 0.25250 instead of 0.28250. so u got answer 0.3.... but actully answer is 0.29.... BTW it was really helpful.

I think the answer is 0.2935906 and I came up with that answer by computing manually, and how come the value of 373 is bigger than the 400?
He did a mistake in calculation.. You can see it in the substitution in the calculator
same answer I got, im a surveyour. his answer should not be above 0.30661, I was reading the comments hoping im not the only one who got this answer, but others seem to think it was the correct answer
can you share your method doing manually with the same equation? I think you do it faster then me I would like to know your method, mine is :
I take the value at 400 minus the value at 350 which is 0.30661-0.28250= 0.2411 , I then divide it by 50 to find 1 unit value, 0.2411/50=0.0004822 , I then multiply 23, 0.0004822x23=0.0110906 , I then add it to the value of 350 which is 0.0110906+0.28250=0.2935906
I got the same answer as well. And it makes sense because it’s between the specific volumes.
he put 0.25250 instead of 0.28250 in Numerator but wrote it right in denominator

OMG you rock! This method can calculate the P value of a t distribution in statistics and I searched all over the internet to find someone who explains this method but only found you! Thanks so much :)
Wow, 3 years later, this is exactly why I'm here; couldn't figure out how the college notes arrived at a P value, when the t value isn't even in the statistical tables.
Thank you, new skill gained. I was struggling to decipher my class notes where the course tutor (statistics and probability) said he used interpolation to find a probability of a t-value which was not in the statistical tables. I can now go back over my notes. I don't have my scientific calculator but this can still be done using algebra if the online calculator doesn't have this function.
I am about to graduate and just learned how to use the calculator to do interpolation. Thank you for providing this tutorial!

Great explanation. But since you have editing software, how about just edit out the mistake and substitute with the correct values? Also, can you explain how to do it with simpler calculators such as with the TI 30x. Or do you need to have a graphing calculator? Thx.
Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I discovered the mistake after I uploaded the video on UA-cam. I am not sure about the other calculators, as long as they can solve a linear equation, then you should be able to do it.
That was a mistake and I did not notice that when I was recording the video because I was concentrating on what to say in my video and not to touch the tripod of the camera. I am not sure about using other calculators, no need to have a graphing calculators, and as you can see, mine is not a graphing calculator. Thank you and sorry for the late reply

When u use solve make sure x is 0 as when u did it ur calculator had x as 3 that's why answer is not matching. I did it using calculator and the formula both are okay but because of negligence urs didn't match.

Okay... all this would make sense if there was actually a linear relationship between the values. In that case, I am sure that proportion you did with similar triangles would make sense... in this case though, I am not sure it does (cause 373 may not actually be where you have drawn it)... I mean of course it is not linear... if it was you could simply divide 400 by 0.3661 and get the angular coefficient of the line and then divide 373 by it...
