This was the best Ep It stands ALONE, 3 was 2nd best but doesn't stand on its own it needs ep 1 & 2.
The the co-writer of this episode, Christopher Yost, is the writer and showrunner of the live-action Cowboy Bebop show for Netflix. He also came up with the story for this episode, which gives me more hope for the live action version of Bebop.
The Mando in this episode: I'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me!!!!!
Yep that was great and Tonks was in this episode Harry Potter.
Rorshach reference .... nice , can’t wait for these guys to react to the series
Exactly what I said watching this
Mando's journal
Oh yes
I laughed so hard too when baby Yoda looked at his hand
he was like YOOOOOOOOO
@internetmaster1...explode his he- oh, doesn't matter"
"Did Iiiiiii doo thaaaaat??"
TheCreepingDeath1984 Exactly.
Whoa Unlimited Power!...
I like the Mandalorian doesn't have to kill people if he doesn't need to. That's why I love him
RazorO2Productions he’s like batman lol
This is the way.
Ibriumequil21 Are you serious?
@Ibriumequil21 they arent exactly mandalorians in a sense jando did fight with a mandalorian clan type thing but the jedi who were gave false info so they killed jangos step father and people so he became a bounty hunter and didnt follow the mandalorian honor book/code and boba fett never really had anything to do with the mandalorians
a guy in a mask has more character than every single person from sequels
With all the heart-warming father-son moments on this show, I kinda forget that Mando is one of the scariest bounty hunters out there.
That whole flickering lights scene during the lockdown gave me Rorschach feels. Damn. No one threatens his ship and his son.
Marki Mahalimuyak Daddies be scary, yo
I iwsh tho that they made him fight better. He's meant to be a mandalorian, some of the best warriors, but he struggles against one on ones? I understand if he's outnumbered but there are few scenes where he was really bad ass
Sam Thong he only struggled with that red guy cause he was crazy strong and he still won
@@samthong3305He only struggles against the ones who are super strong and have a physical advantage over him
Against that red guy it doesn’t matter how skilled and badass he is, that guy has strength so it was never gonna be a simple fight
"Did he put the tracker on the guy?"
Detective Calvin strikes again.
The Mandalorian went full Batman and John Wick this episode and I loved it.
Its so fuckin good
That scene when he’s stalking Bill Burr with the lights blinking was pure epic. Like a slasher movie where you’re cheering for killer.
He went full John Wick in episode 3
This was full Batman, because these characters aren't random stormtroopers with no plot armor
@@Lazypackmule exactly! my observation too.
Zack Elliff that scene from Dark Knight Rises when he was in the cave moving between frames with every strobe light
im glad they all cheered for Dave Filoni.
and didn't know the other two, maybe recognized one
@@clickmyvid Rick Famuyiwa and Deborah Chow
Ready Player Two I thought the other pilot was Terry Crews for a second. I’d love to see him have a cameo in Star Wars, since he loves it so much.
@@seanpatrickcain2 Yep, all three of them are directors of this series.
@@clickmyvid you clearly didnt watch the whole video they recognized all of them. Don't act like you know something if you didn't even watch the whole video idiot.
IMMA KEEP IT REAL WITH YOU CHIEF!! WHEN THEY DROPPED THE BABY I WAS READY TO FIGHT!!
Word. I was ready to throw down.
No questions asked someone is getting knocked out
@@franciscovazquezjr4550 6 ounces gloves, no head guard
This is the way. Also, i'm pretty sure Din Djarin (Mando) was so concerned for Baby Yoda while trying to break the prisoner out because Baby Yoda was left alone with Zero, who was that droid on the Razor Crest. That would've been intense trying to do something as quick as possible to be able to go back and protecting it.
His horns are cut off when the door closed. Look again when he wakes up in the cell. lol
Yeah I noticed that as well lol
Also loved the fight between Mando and Burg because it reminded me of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Very much a INSANELY POWERFUL TOUGH GUY just throwing around a guy we know is tough, but has to beat him via smarts rather than punching.
oh snap i didnt realize that until u mentioned it. thats so awesome
Maybe he has super fast growing horns... After all, if he can withstand a blast of flame (to the face!) and two blast doors closing on him who knows WHAT he's capable of? LOL
@@JustWasted3HoursHere Nah his horns don't really grow back, the horns are a status symbol for his species so when they are damaged it shows everyone that they're weak.
Baby Yoda after “killing the droid”:
I HAVE THE POWER!!! Oh hey Mando
If he could talk, it'd probably be like Drax from Guardians. "I have single handedly taken down this droid!"
Thats the cutest shit ever
He looked at his hand,as if asking himself, "Did i do that?"
He becoming more like Mando every day and one day after 200 years he becomes the next Mando 🙏
I loved the horror aspect of this episode. The flashing lights, the red tone, and how Mando was just lurking in the darkness. It really reminded me of the really first part of Episode One and Episode 3 with the break-in. I really think they should keep that style going as it really works well with Mando's character.
Charles Zhao thought the same thing
Charles Zhao The music too!
Charles Zhao found it funny how it had a horror aspect to it and it was released on Friday 13
@@lilzippy9180
I was thinking that too, especially how Mando hunted them down like Jason.
Charles Zhao Just like the Vader fight in Rogue One and the Hallway fights in the Marvel Netflix Shows
You guys have the BEST reactions to this show because you actually have knowledge about the Star Wars Universe. The only reaction I care about.
Same.
Exactly what I was thinking. They react at stuff thats deeper than the surface level. I wouldn't be surprised if other reactors saw Dave Filoni in that X-Wing and had no idea who he was lol
and there are the normies reaction.. they haven't seen original trilogy and don't even get prequel references. Even something simple as the high ground bit.
@@Pir-o the normies aka blindwave discount version lite
@@Pir-o bro, I started watching their video but immediately had to stop and facepalm when they said they haven't seen the original trilogy. I just couldn't bring myself to continue lol
Easily my favorite episode. The 'batman-esque' sequence against Bill Burr was brilliant and episode had quite a fair bit of funny moments. I burst out laughing when Filoni was on screen
When Baby Yoda got dropped on the floor they were ready to kill those characters!
Baby yoda must have brain damage by now after being dropped 3 times and being hit on the head like 10 times. Rip
Filoni showing up was the funniest thing ever
It's all three of the directors. Filoni, Chow, and Famuyiwa.
Everyone recognizes filoni but no one recognizes Chow and Famuyiwa
rainbowremo well, Chow was in many interviews and Famuyiwa was the first guy meant to direct the Flash movie, so I knew them, but most people certainly dont.
That took me off guard, I had to go back lol. I was like WHO was that
@@SangheiliSpecOp Same. I almost cant recognize him without his cowboy hats.
For a second I didn't recognize Dave without his hat on 😂
LOL me neither
That reaction to Filoni's first live-action cameo could not have been more perfect.
Fun fact that you didn't mention when looking up the cast for this episode. Xi'an our female Twi'lek was played by Natalie Tena, aka Tonks from Harry Potter and Osha the Wildling from Game of Thrones.
Rue - The Acting Maniac
I could not see that! Thanks for sharing.
I was about to comment the exact same thing !
Thank you, no one seems to recognize or mention that.
Damn, I knew that face was familiar!
How tf can such a hot human make for such an ugly Twilek ahaha? I’d think if anything it’d be the opposite
Because of that last line "I told you that was a bad idea.", I really believe that Baby Yoda was running interference for Mando by leading Zero away.
Mando just managed to disrupt the communications. Zero would've gotten them up fairly quickly. Baby distracts him buying Mando time. He didn't need to go up to the cockpit. He knew there were people on board already. I think he was trying to help, as apparently he pushed Mando to take the job anyway.
For some reason I through you said "Because the end/last [Something] the Episode was bad" lol
“What are we some type of suicide squad?”
“This is Katana, She’s got my back. Im not suggested to not get killed by her.
Her sword traps its victims”

@@murfman2001 I can hear it so easily.
Bruh, that Filoni, Rick and Debra cameo was gold!!!!
i love how almost bored with blowing shit up they were haha. Just another day at work
@@mannylugz5872 RIGHT, Dave hit the cameo jackpot.
Good episode .
It was nice to learn a bit more about Mando’s past and how he may not have had the heart of gold before that we know he has now . The heist and horror elements were well done aswell and the guest cast did well ( it was cool to see Matt Lanter in this since he’s the voice of Anakin in The Clone Wars).
Anyway , I do hope the final two episodes of the season gave more answers about the overarching plot though .
I kinda like how it's been cowboy bebop ish with the episodes not really having a plot but there is a story going on but not the main focus where every episode can be watched by itself
I think this season is based more upon Mando's adventures and less about a storyline... just going through the Galaxy giving us a chance to maybe learn a few things about The New Republic or the remnants of The Empire in outer rims.... I have no problem with all the action sequences but I still don't understand the relevance of Baby Yoda.... I mean yes he's damn cute but he still doesn't have any meaningful role or why The Empire needed the baby
@Doctor Tophat I really doubt is a series will hold such a crucial plot point for the saga but let's see what happens.... There's a confirmed s2 so maybe we'll see if what u say is true or not
@@HylianSith920 well I mean if u think about it the Jawas did tear his ship apart and steal all his weapons and we all know weapons are a big part of the Mandalorian culture.... So he was already pissed and when the Jawa started giving him attitude he just lost it
I agree, not every serie have to have a greater plot. Sometimes we just want to see the adventures of a space bountyhunter and his adopted child. Many great shows, like Samurai Jack, Adventure Time, Doctor Who etc. have this kind of construction. Of course, with this, you must introduce new and creative elements to mantain the attention
*sees this in my feed*
"This is where the fun begins"
Well have you noticed the shields are still up????
Sorry, master!
@@BoredOuttaMyMind Oh I have a baaaad feeling about this
Oh a prequel meme huh,
A surprise to be sure but a welcome one
Mando went full BATMAN, always go full Batman
"Baby Yoda" is smarter than most think he is, he got Zero to chase after him on purpose, to distract the droid
12:10 Good job Detective Calvin! After the cuteness of Baby Yoda thinking he ended the droid, I forgot all about the tracking beacon
Same
Richard Ayoade was the perfect person to voice a droid.
Right? I knew that voice was familiar!
When Mando took control of the ship and all the lights turned off, my reactions was: 'Holy Shit, this just turned into a Horror Film... Hahahahaha, they're all gonna die'
Oooo the Devaronian lost both his horns when the door closed.
That's gotta hurt.
Thank you so much for pointing that out. It was bothering me that he seemed unscathed after the doors.
@Darth Serpace Good eye
Bill Burr making politically incorrect jokes in the Star Wars universe against Gungans = A million voices crying out in laughter.
P.S. Detective Calvin has still got it.
Matthew Lawrence

A single father making his way through the galaxy - Mando
For anyone complain about the lack of plot, the plot of the Mandalorian is actually rather simple and in front of your faces. Chapter 1, Mando is hired to find Baby Yoda. Chapter 2, he has found Baby Yoda but has to deal with Jawas to get off the planet. Chapter 3, Mando brings Baby Yoda to the Imperial Remnant but then has a change of heart, rescues Baby Yoda, has the entire Bounty Hunters Guild against him, and is then saved by fellow Mandos. This episode then sees Mando going on the run, stay one step ahead of everyone that's after him and Baby Yoda. Chapter 4, Mando finds a planet to lay low, the episode title is "Sanctuary," only to be drawn into helping a village with a walker problem. After a bounty hunter tracks Baby Yoda to this planet, Mando has to leave. Chapter 5 opens with Mando being pursued by a bounty hunter, who he dispatches but has taken damage to his own ship for which he lands at Mos Eisley on Tatooine to get repairs. He doesn't have the money to pay for both the hanger and repairs so he looks for work only to come across a rookie bounty hunter who has a dangerous quarry to track down. Long story short, the rookie betrays Mando only to be killed and then Mando moves on. And now at Chapter 6, Mando is still looking for odd jobs to keep a cash flow so that he can stay ahead of the guild. There is a plot and it's all tied to Baby Yoda and what Mando is doing to protect him.
This is an excellent analysis of the way this show incorporates the main plot into each episode while also allowing them to feel different from each other. Perfect!
I absolutely died when I saw that Dave Filoni cameo. 😂
God I love the Mandalorian. Please don’t ever leave.
Any idea who the other guy was?
Weren’t the other X-wing pilots the other directors from previous episodes?
@@ecofreak8307 Yep I know Deborah but I didn't know the other guys name. Thinking now it was the one who directed this episode
That is really cool. I apologize for not recognizing the others at first. I remember Dave the most because he worked on The Clone Wars and Rebels...and that other show I don’t want to talk about lol
@@ormwoden9311 after having seen what a good director she is, she played the part of an x-wing pilot really well. I foresee good things for her in whatever she does.
I knew I recognized that Republic pilot from somewhere. Matt Lanter is always a win.
I grew up in the 70s where the shows very rarely carried on the story weekly and where just a different story every week. I like that.
I'm shocked Mano didn't kill them all after they dropped The Child.
The lockdown sequence is amazing and mandalorian vs droids is just incredible
I love how when baby yoda fell everyone (including me ngl) went "noOOOOOOOOO"
Mando: *Shoots droid*
The Child: Did I do that!?
XD
Definitely my favorite episode since episode 3. I love how much it shows how skilled Mando is when he takes down four bounty hunters.
The gunship looks like a modified Rogue Class Starfighter, or Magnaguard Starfighter as most people know of it as.
I don't know what a Magnaguard Starfighter is.
@@Commander_Shepard. have you watched the Clone Wars?
@@datzfatz2368 yeap.
I thought it looked familiar
@@Commander_Shepard. well then you should have seen some magnaguard Starfighters, Magnaguards are General Greviouses Personal Bodyguards with the purple Energystaffs. In the Clone Wars Movie Anakin and Ashoka on the Twilight get chased by one of those Fighters for example
Meesa been waiting for this one. Baby Yoda continues to be MVP with that hide and seek and when he looks at his hand like “tf did I just do” was the funniest moment in the show for me. Overall, such a great fucking episode and Dave Filoni is now canon! And of course his name is Wolf 😂
I completely get why Burr was so hyped about his part in earlier interviews. This episode could've been a feature length heist film.
FYI: You guys are confusing Episodic with Serial stories. The Mandalorian is an example of Episodic storytelling. While there is an underlying thread that ties it all together each episode after the third has been fairly self contained and stand alone.
My friend described the scene on the ship as being like Alien from the xenomorph's perspective.
Literally just finished watching the episode myself and this gets posted. Nice timing :]
Love how, despite bertaying and fighting him to the death, Mando just throwed them into a cell..like...even then, they weren't worth killing.
Also...when two directors and one of the creators hyperspace out in X-wings, coming for the bad guys...you know they are done for.
1. I agree with you.
2. He says to the Twi'lek guy (I forgot that guy's name) "I gave them what they deserve" They tried to lock him in the cell so he locked them in the cell. It's payback at its finest.
1. The droid from this episode was voiced by the guy that plays Moss from IT Crowd.
2. I think that that mystery fighter at the end was a modified magnaguard starfighter.
That episode was fucking amazing! The characters, tension, music, action and gunfights, humour and the Matt Lanter and three director cameos were brilliantly done.
It's amazing that I'm so excited to see these episodes and on the edge of my seat watching them, but don't give one single shit about seeing Rise of Skywalker. Shove your "Star Wars fatigue" up your ass Lucasfilm!
I totally agree with you. I hope Rey dies in the next episode. It'd make things at least somewhat interesting.
Jermel Denham No, I don't have a ticket because I don't want to pay my hard earned money to watch crap made by people who have referred to me as racist, misogynist, sexist, man-baby and incel. But I'm not as much as a badass as you mate - writing comments and deleting them.
The funny part is that Bill Burr isn't acting, he's just Bill Burr in space.
i have to say...nothing comes closer to the original "feel" of star wars than those 3 x-wings coming at the end...it had the feel and the looks and the sound..perfect
Usually when I watch reaction videos I just leave the video after the reaction is done but with you guys I just love watching the discussion afterward because it always really shows that you guys are real fans. I really just appreciate your videos so much

The soundtrack played throughout the episode is what makes it so intense. Hope we get to see The Mandalorian's backstory when he's still in the gang in a future season.

After all this time, your cheer for Dave Filoni's entrance still gets me.
mando at the end of the episode be like:i'm about to end this man's whole career
Remember, they are using super high resolution giant screens instead of green screens for this show. A lot of the set you see, including the deep hallways on the prison ship, are probably just being shown on a monitor that can change its perspective based on the position of the camera. Very high tech stuff in this series (Can't wait to see the behind the scenes for this show).
This Episode gives off major Among Us Vibes after Mando escapes the cell: Shut Doors, Dead Crewmate, cutting power, Disabling Comms, Watching Cams, and sabotaging
With how often Mando gets hit, I´m kinda starting to wonder how, with that fighting style, did he live long enough to even put his armor together. :D
Sojtus True, I also thought of this. Maybe he exposes himself more often knowing he has the beskar? My only conclusion.
The Mandalorian is the closest to the comic accurate live action Batman we've seen.
Have you not seen ben Affleck. He was literally ripped from the comics. What r u smoking
Ben Affleck was basically Frank Miller's Batman straight from the comic panel visually, without his no-kill code.
This gave me a Suicide squad vibe but a better version lol.
we're some type of.... uhhhh suicide squad
Way better
We were cheated out of The New Republic by the sequels. It was so great seeing it here... also, The First Order came together in the outer rim. This show could answer a lot of unanswered questions about the sequels.
Also, loved that they used practical effects for the Ardinian and the droid. Best episode yet. Loved bill burr's character.
Did anybody else notice that Mando now has a high chair/ car seat for Baby Yoda in the Pilots part of the ship?
I’ve realized that The Mandalorian is not one long overarching story broken up into 8 individual episodes- but rather 8 short stories [featuring a couple of staple main characters] that fit within a basic premise {which is simply Mando keeping Baby Yoda safe/alive}.
It’s more like a procedural series as opposed to a serialized show - and I’m loving it!
🤗
Something you missed, Baby Yoda gives a subtle head nod to Mando after he saves him at the end almost like a thank you.
10:40 That hallway scene was incredible
Talking about the Batman-esc stuff Mando was doing, then mentioning how Baby Yoda is probably picking all this up. Can you imagine if this basically became Batman and Robin in space? That would be awesome
Bill burr is a surprisingly good actor, as someone just knowing him from his standup.
Amazing shot and is my favorite episode thus far. I recognized Mark Boone Jr. from Sons of Anarchy as Ranzer obviously. But another video made me aware that the big red guy Burg was Clancy Brown (everything lol) and the Twi'lek Xian was Natalia Tena from Game Of Thrones. Good makeup.
SWTOR was an Imperial Agent and specialty: Sniper.
I love this. These episodes are the journey of the Mandalorian. It's not showing just A, B, H, Z in the story. It shows his travel and dangers and his continuation of making money on the run.
This is honestly one of your best reactions yet! The cameos, the action, the twists... it was such a ride!! I can't wait for the next episode and episode 9 and watching your reactions immediately after.
Loved to see Natalia Tena in the episode, another fellow "Game Of Thrones" actor! And Clancy Brown as a Devaronian was awesome I also hope to see more of Bill Burr and the rest. Loooooved the episode!
This episode had more deep cut cameos than even part 1 of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. The directors of 3 of these episodes, Clancy Brown, and Matt Lanter aka Anakin Skywalker from Clone Wars?!?! If they somehow top this I’ll lose my damn nerd mind.
Also as a Mainer I love they allowed not only Bill Burr to keep his Boston accent but also dickish yet likable attitude, or as we call it in New England being a Masshole.
If they had gotten Bob Marley my head would have exploded.
Don't forget Clancy Brown has voiced star wars characters in clone wars and rebels
Masshole thats hilarious
The twilek chick is tonks from harry potter aswell
Without doubt you guys produce the best reaction and review videos. The Mandalorian is the best thing since the OT, I’m absolutely hooked. Knew the New Republic would make an appearance in this episode, at the end of Chapter 5 the Razorcrest thruster smoke forms a New Republic logo as it’s taking off from the docking bay. Thought it was maybe unintentional but watched it again and it’s definitely an Easter Egg for the next Chapter. Keep up the excellent work. Subscribed
"i love his voice" Just sounds like every guy i see at Dunkin Donuts at 8AM in New England lol.
I 100% agree. I love these episodes... I don’t really need “what’s the overall story”. I mean, eventually things will have to be told, but for now, I’m enjoying each episode as an individual episode and I love it. Right now, the story is “a guy on the run”
Bill burr playing himself in a star wars show 😂😂😂
Just waiting to see Baby Yoda looking at his hand memes.
It was great seeing so many actors from the animated series.
I knew you would like baby Yoda scene looking at his hand
Sweet all three Mandalorian directors on X-wings bravo 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Loved the weeping angels reference 🤘
This was one of my fav episodes! From bady Yoda-ling looking at his hand to Mando channelling Barman and Dave Feloni as an X-wing pilot! All great!I can see someone asking Mando who he is and him replying "I'm Mandalorian!" in the vein of Batman Begins!
I just love the sound of the X wings coming into the space when they drop in.
I love that the Baby apparently has his own bedroom now. :)
After 2 average chapters The Mandalorian gets back on track, my favourite so far. The Mando kicked ass & left prisoners.
Got some Alien, Alien 3, Alien resurrection feels. Cinematography when Mando creeping up on Bill Burr character was off charts.
Noticed Richard Adyade voice, SW animated stars Matt Lanter, Clancy Brown. Filoni, Chowe, Famuyima X-Wing pilots was nice touch. Hissing Twi'lek got on my nerves, made her like a vampire Twi'lek.. I couldn't stop laughing at Tiny (this is not Yoda) WTF! moment looking at hand after thinking he'd just destroyed zero with force .
The gunship was a Magnaguard ship from Clone Wars
I think it was also the same ship that the bounty hunter was using to chase the Razorcrest at the beginning of episode 5
Good spot
No it wasn't. They look alike but they're definitely different models
I knew it looked familiar
That fighter they have is a concept taken from a star wars rogue squadron book. The rogues go to a planet where the presiding politics entirely revolves around starfighter prowess and they take part in a civil war to essentially bring the planet into the fold of the alliance. It is a post episode 6 planet. That red fighter is one of the skiff fighters from the book. Less maneuverable than xwings but good handling and extreme customization. In the hands of a veteran its as good as any military grade materials
Yoda was thinking like " I can pew pew?? "
"Wasn't a Storm Trooper Wiseass!" LOL!

collecter343 lol I burst out laughing when I saw it 🤣
Bill Burr: WHERE ARE YOU?!!
Mando: Here.
My boyfriend and I FREAKED OUT when we realized the droid is the voice of Richard Ayoade.
the tense music transitions in this episode have absolutely blown my expectations out of the water. my heart was beating so fast when bill burr acted like he was dropping the baby, and then the drum beat transitioned into the music sequence for the final landing, and we get to see zero’s perfect flying skills. such an incredible episode.
i also can’t wait for there to be a Mando getting shot compilation lol.
Mando ROCKSSSSS. The tie fighters yeahhhhh. Love this chapter and it’s getting better and better whit every chapter to come. Baby YODA incredible...
I cant believe I didn't notice it was Matt Lanter!!!!!
I've been re-watching clone Wars and just started watching Timeless and I didn't recognize him on this episode lmao!!!
That Gun ship looked like a modified Naboo ship from Phantom Menace, those yellow one's Anakin flew in the big battle at the end.
