As a Belgian, I was supporting my neighbouring country the Netherlands during this game. This sure was a great goal and Paredes should have been given a red card before full time. HOWEVER, the Netherlands did not play well at all, they were very poor and lucky enough to score twice from two shots at goal. 6 shots in total, whereas Argentina had 14. Yeah, genius Van Gaal trash talking the argentinian players befores the match, saying that they were superior in the penalties round lol. Very stupid way to lose. They NEVER tried to win, they were playing just to avoid losing. Very deserved result in the end.

@@lautarojavierfernandezpric7729 except he wasn’t talking trash like that. Not too bad for an average team, I think. Was it watchable? Hardly, but they did what they could and grew into the tournament.
I'm Argentinian, and I loved that goal. I mean, I hated but at the same time I loved it lol It reminds me the Zanneti's one against England in France 98.
Amazing goal, but Argentina was the best team by far, as longa as they wanted to attack. The only reason that the netherlands got this chance was because Argentina stopped attacking and gave the initiative to the netherlands. It was a good example of exactly what you shouldn´t do when you lead. Argentina should just go for the third goal instead of backing. Was anyone actually believing that The netherlands would have the initiative in the extratime too? It was back to how the game had looked before and no one should be suprised. If Argentina wanted to attack it was hard for netherlands to create something. I´s time for teams once for all to learn that attack is the best defense. It´s so extremply stupid to let the initiative to your oppnent when you don´t need.
Rubbish. Argentina could not attack because they had to defend because it was too risky because Van Gaal changed the tactics and put 5 up front with 30 minutes to go.
As an argentine, I'm amazed of the amount of hate we get after this match. I'm not happy with the attitude of the team during the game and after, but all of you have to keep in mind that the Nederlands were heating up things days before the match. Also, the "oranges" didn't played a good game. They offered this masterpiece, but not much else. Watch the additional time and clearly Argentina was still pushing until the end while the Nederlands were waiting to reach penalties. Talking about the referee, he didn't was on either side. He just wanted to steal the show, and that was a known fact before the game. I feel a little sad for Van Gaal, he is a very good trainer and a very respectful man, he deserves a World Cup. What the TV did't show was that inmediately after the last penalty he went to congratulate Scaloni.
There was no bad talking before the match only Van Gaal speaking facts. Messi is not helping in defence. Mentioning that is disrespectful these days? Come on man grow up. Vangaal talked about the weaknesses of Argentina openly and the coach of Argentina used that to make his players angry. But it was nothing disrespectful that was being said before the game. That’s just having a big ego and not being able to handle critique. If you watch the match closely Messi talks a lot and complaining in Spanish to the Spanish referee. He clearly makes a handsball and doesn’t get yellow? After that paredes started with playing dirty by making a dirty foul first on Ake takling with two legs and after that shooting the ball in the dug out. That’s a red card clearly. The Dutch were unsportsmanlike with the penalties I have to say that, but they where being treated disrespectful by the Argentinian players. On top of that. The whole stadium was full of Argentinians who where whissleing. That’s allowed but is having a huge effect on the players ofcourse. It was disrespectful of Argentina. Totally disagree with you , as you could see here was 1 defender who knew this type of free kick could occur as he pointed to the possibility, however if you were the captain setting the wall up before the free kick was taken, you have to instruct your team mates to do the exact same things the Argentine squad did as you only have 10 players to set up a wall and other defence mechanisms. But probably you knew that this would be the outcome ad would have put 3 defenders in the middle right ? Defending the middle 3 Dutch squad members right? You are the oracle ….. such a pathetic statement to make after this event occurred, please try to make these comments prior to a free kick of this magnitude and pressure andi. Netherlands always deserved to win a world cup, 2010-2014 they played so well with big players RVP, Robben, Sneijder.. this year they showed the new generation, hope they win a EURO or World cup🧡
🇪🇸🇦🇷👍🏻
One of the best goals I’ve seen, with Lucas Moura’s goal vs Ajax for Tottenham in the 2019 Champions League semi final
The audacity to do something like that in the last min of the game is mind blowing 😳🤯 I was in complete disbelief. Incredible incredible incredible. Best world cup ever 😜
Messi is partly so good because the referrees always treat him differently, like now again. I just cannot watch "modern" soccer today. Too much unfairness.
You calling it "soccer" says it all.
yes man the referee made that no look pass it wasn't messi at all.
>soccer

Clever free kick

Jogada de QI elevadíssimo! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Even 11 Men can't defend that Goal. Because it's impossible to defend that Goal. Netherland played so well towards that Goal. They executed so well. Brilliant.
This match needed a ref like Colina. Lots of things would have gone different on both sides
Colina was ook corrupt tot op het bot.
in one game he scored as many goals as he did in his PL career in 20 games.
Lol the guy on the right does not dare to watch and rests his head on the shoulder of the other guy. I wonder what he was feeling when he heard the roar after the goal. Insane moment, too bad that we stopped playing like this afterwards.
This was my second favourite moment from the world cup. Not every day you see a goal in the 90+10 minute.
The most exiting goal of the world cup. Netherlands deserved more.
No.
Ecuador beat you 2 - 1, and did not deserve to stay in the group stage, but the referee annulled a too legitimate goal, leaving only 1 - 1, the referee clearly favored the Netherlands, Ecuador went through on top of the Netherlands, the Netherlands was a tear and had an irregular game, Ecuador would arrive with many losses against Senegal and even with the 2 - 1 against it would have reached the second round but the robbery of the Netherlands change things
@@alexiscastillo6911 Ecuador cameo lets goo!!! 🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨
Best goal of the tournament so far
Funny fact, Argentins scoared a goal against England in France 1998 WC exactly like this one, also in the very last minute, also to tie 2-2 and to go to extra time (where Arg won in the penaltis). This was in 8th stage - later in 4th stage Argentina was eliminated... by holland!
that was how Argentina scored against England in 98
Argentinian players and crowd showed real unsportmanslike behaviour. Messi was like a spoiled kid.
geniaal !!!!!
Ive not seen this kind of goal thats Art!!!
This video only makes me appreciate Messi, Emi Martinez and the Argentine team more
What about lisandro Martinez
Lahoz is my biggest nightmare
