I have clay soil and have been amending it for years with aged manure, compost and worked leaves in. The game changer for me was working lots of spagnum peat moss into the soil wherever I plant. It has created a much richer soil.

Why don’t you raise a few California rabbits? They produce a lot of pellet manure which is great for soil.

Good morning ladies, you know I have hard clay soil too so I had a huge dump truck come and bring me some soil after all the years of trying to garden wow what a difference it has made. I think the load was 150.00 I got two loads for my 7 raised beds and I keep it covered with two large tarps so weeds don't grow in it. Your place is looking so nice I just love what you have done. One more thing I have found that makes planting so so much easier for me is a pik wow it just digs holes so fast and easier.

Epsom Salt mixed in the soil is great for tomatoes and roses and bonus....its cheap. Any drug store has it.
