Also, make sure you got tight sleeves around your wrist area too. Mine was loose on my other jacket and I was cutting steel with the torch and molten metal fell inside and burned my arm. I’m an apprentice so that could be why as well😂
I always wore some type of respirator. 3M had a throwaway mask I used for welding in enclosed areas but it's real purpose was for welding galvanized metals where you get that real weird green smoke and particles. Also Argon gas always made my nose run.
If you're not getting burnt you aren't welding , buddy of mine told me just wear shity clothes if you can't afford a welding shirt, and ive always just worn a hat backwards, and I prefer panoramic hoods I tried a sugar scoop just isn't for me
