I have no idea why watching this drama, which is consistent with most of the other dramas being shown, there is so much criticism and negative feedback! I gave up on boring American TV shows, with overpaid actors and overblown budgets, a long time ago and since discovering these Asian dramas, I am loving it, good bad or ugly!

This is a poorly directed and scripted drama. The acting is very stilted and the conflict feels very contrived -- it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Why would he immediately conclude that she was some kind of high end escort? There are gaps that need to be filled. The ML feels like an empty suit who is purely a vehicle, reacting to circumstances.
90% of the shows with children as movers and shakers often make the adults, mother in particular, look like idiots. But this one is particularly weirdly incoherent. It's as if the production team has taken scenes from various show tropes from other shows and pasted them together without understanding how these tropes should fit together.
The show wastes the good chemistry between the leads.

Well, this is different. The brother is claiming to be the father. The grandmother from hell makes the SF lead kneel on a bed of nails and puts a snake in the desk for the FL as a test. This drama is ruthless. This is worth a watch but poor subtitles and editing also unanswered questions.

Ridiculous but , in China children born out of a marriage aren't acknowledged by the state and are considered illegal for many years. Most will get married to have the child registered and onto a ' house hold registration '. For those can afford it the often go abroad to have their children and at the age of 18 the children will be accepted as a national if they choose to do so in the time before life is difficult as they are much like illegal immigrants.

How is anyone suppose to believe these kids are five years old, surely there's not a shortage of kids, of that age in China, to play the part. Apart from the rediculas notion, that's continually used, of just plucking babies from a mother's womb but not noticing there's more than one in there, and how does the mother get over that ordeal, when it's done in random places with no proper medical equipment or skill involved, not only does she survive but then go on to have the other baby safely.🙄
