Can we talk about how all three of you look EXACTLY the same?! Haha, amazing. This was so great. Seeing Wexler again was especially heartwarming. Gotta love the attention to detail with the science medal, your outfit being near-exact to the original, all of the choreography, and even the green screen sequence during the bridge! The only thing missing was Shia's face superimposed on the moon! lol. Love it!
@@evenstevensranked I'd probably cry if he came on and did a song from that episode! I probably would have if they had Ty Hodges in this one! Ren got an F! Should totally do a part 2.
@Christy Carlson Romano Trueee, true! This video is absolutely incredible. It’s just the idea of iconic siblings Louis and Ren... Reunited and cooking together?! 🤯 Crazy, haha.
I agree. And I noticed that you were wearing the same similar clothes from the actual original episode. Gotta say that was a really neat addition to the callback, as well as a neat callback itself.
Best episode of Even Stevens. It made me realize I loved musicals. If you could get Donna Pescow on your show I would be ecstatic! You two had great Mother/Daughter chemistry!
I freaking lost it when she started singing the song and then it kept going and it was the full out performance!!! This gave me all the feels of my childhood! I’m almost 30 now and I still remember all of the words. 😂😍🥰💖
Who knew 3 minutes and 33 seconds could make me smile this much. The only thing that could have made this better would be if your husband walked in singing "I've got hot soup! Delicious chicken soup!" Thank you for making this channel and for letting us all enjoy the 90's/early 2000's nostalgia with you and your friends.
Sometimes you rewatch old shows as an adult and you realize nostalgia has distorted how good the show actually was in your mind...I'm rewatching Even Stevens from start to finish right now and that is absolutely NOT the case! It's actually even better than I remembered, and I realize there were so many references and jokes that went over my head as a kid. Such a brilliant, unique show! The Influenza episode is an all time classic!! Thanks so much for doing this!!!
RIGHT?! I had the exact experience a few years ago. It's nice to see people revisiting it and realizing how great it actually is. :) The writing was fantastic.
My favourite part about this song is whoever wrote it was like “okay... so, we need to write a moon landing themed song - what do we know about the first moon landing?” ... “oh, well.... we went to the moon in, 1969?” PERFECT! And? “Well, it wasn’t the year before or the year after?”. Thank you for arranging this CCR, our hearts
I am so glad that you've started making these videos. The nostalgia is hitting me hard. I remember as a kid ALWAYS watching Even Stevens and this episode is probably my favorite. Now I'm 24 and I feel like crying 😭😂
You talked about recreating the most iconic scene from Influenza: the Musical. I mean the dancers, Ruby, Principal Wexler, and of course the talented Ren Stevens herself Christy Romano. Great work everyone.
This actually made me emotional 😭 I love how you guys still look like teenagers and adding Principal Wexler, was icing on the cake! Please keep these videos coming. Thanks for preserving my childhood ♥️
Growing up, this was a constant music video on Disney Channel commercials in 2003 or so. Anytime I hear moon landing, this song pops up in my head. Thanks for the nostalgia
i don't remember the exact date when that particular even stevens episode came out but i am now almost 23 years old and i have to say that sometimes my father will randomly burst out singing this song because he still loves it so much from back when i would watch the show as a kid
Omg!!! You guys looked amazing!!! Just like 20 years ago!! My inner child is screaming!! Thanks Christy for another great content!! 😁👍👍👏❤ Ps: the song was great and will always stucked inside my head. But the last part was my least favorite! I can just hear it "But all she said is we went to the moon in 1969!!" "I know Larry, that's why she's getting an F." "NOOOOOO!!!!" Lol! 😅😁
This is a little long, but about a year I was at a friends house and their kid was talking about the moon landing. And he said something along the lines of “when did we land on the moon?” (Don’t remember the exact phrasing) His mom says “ we went to the moon in 1969” I say “not 1968 a year later” and then Ashley (mom), Chris (dad), and me “broke out in song” (none of us can sing worth a damn) lmao

I definitely enjoyed this remake of "We Went to the Moon in 1969". It looks magnificent in every way. I hope that there will be a follow-up involving Larry Beale (Ty Hodges) singing "Ren Got an F" because that was where hilarity ensued.
How did you get a classroom inside your house? Also, greetings from Houston aka the people who were in charge of the Moon Landing. (Technically, Johnson Space Center is in Clear Lake which is about an hour from actual Downtown Houston.)
My school is using we went to the moon in our showchoir set to celebrate 50 years! Watching this made me feel special and I can’t wait to perform it!!!!
Was I the only one hoping that Ty Hodges was going to come out and sing "Ren got an F"?
