I never noticed the parallel of Caesar and Nova's stories. Caesar was an ape whose mother was killed by humans which led to his adoption into a human family where he was taught their ways and took on many of their habits, which he still practices to this day. Nova is a human whose father was killed by apes and led them to adopt her as one of their own, also teaching her their own ways like how to use sign and other skills later in life.
@@waitthatsillegal5517 nope Caesar kills her father with a shotgun because he was about to kill Luca, Maurice and Rocket when he was putting down a pile of wood (the apes that accompanied Caesar in the War movie)
Right it reminded me of groot when he gave that little girl a flower in guardians of the galaxy. It was an act of General compassion empathy and kindness with no tainted agenda behind it
This little girl is extraordinary. The moment she mimics "I am brave / apes are strong together" made me want to see that movie and cry. She makes this adventure extremely touching and illustrates brilliantly what it means to be human. Great performance that I will keep in mind forever now. Thanks Maurice for bringing her with you :)
Nova's character blow my mind!!! She had such a huge emotional impact on the story and with only a Limited sign language dialogue she give every scene a warm feeling. Kind of reminds me a lot of groot.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS! This is seriously goona be up on my "Top Trilogies of All Time" list. Andy Serkis is a GENIUS! He dose not get enough credit, the man deserves an Oscar! As an animator and motion graphics artist I can say he is one of the most highly under appreciated actors in Hollywood! My jaw drops everytime I see his motion capture work. He is one of the reason I wanted to work in the film industry.
the Planet of the Apes trilogy is in my opinion the best example of what happens when you reboot a movie and actually care about it. These movies get better with each one and if this somehow manages to be superior to Dawn, then my faith in the future of film making will undoubtedly increase.
@89five3five not really because the OG franchise from the 60s and 70s already has origins and prequels and pretty much all of that, even the charecter Caesar. The 2010s reboot series is literally: a reboot. You could call them prequels to the Mark Wahlberg movie, maybe, but even that doesn't really make sense. They're definitely reboots.
One of my favorite scenes with Nova happened just after Luca put the flower in her hair, she looks over at Caesar who was watching and gives him this coy look like “how do I look”?
I just can't wait for this movie anymore. This going to be epic and emotional as hell. The early buzz for this movie is so positive they calling it the best movie of the year and one of the best trilogies.
I love that Nova has been re-introduced into the remake POTA series like Caesar, but now I'm praying they don't kill her off like they did in the original POTA series cause she was my favourite character.
Ceaser saved nova. Nova Saved Caesar. Rocket saved nova. Caesar saved them all. Together apes strong with a little help from a human. That was brave enough to become an ape when the human s didn't want her anymore. Watch this film a few times it gets better every time
Alejandro Salvidres During an interview with the director shortly after the last film he said that his universe is not directly related to the past films. He also said that in his movie universe this is meant to take place long before we get anything like the original planet of the apes and that it is more of an origin to the planet of the apes. He said that in the old planet of the apes universe Caesar would have been dead for a few hundred years already. Things do change and what you said may still happen though.
I had some reservation about this movie before, but now I'm actually pretty excited. Shows a more compassionate and human side of Cesar and the apes. Ironic, I know. =P
We can see a body of a human in front of the house but no mention of him being her father. Also, we can see what might be dry blood running down from Nova's nose. Could she have been kidnapped and Caesar and his crew came along and unknowingly saved her.
I know it's been 5 years but the girl is infected by the virus that is why she can't speak and other human capabilities, the virus removes some essential things on humans, one of the symptoms is actually bleeding and other common symptoms of flu, the virus Is a simian flu named as the ALZ-113, she's lucky the virus did not kill her but instead removes her human capabilities. Ceasar kills her father, and when the child see his dead father, he did not react mainly because the virus also removes emotional affection, basically it removes something on us that makes us humans.
That kid was stupid good in this movie. Like, "young Dakota Fanning" or "kid in The Sixth Sense" good... She should have a bigger career based on this performance, alone.
When Maurice says "You are Nova" it really sounded like Charlton Heston. I thought it might be an overdub homage to the 1968 POTA. I checked the credits but only Karin Konoval was listed for Maurice. Did anyone else think it sounded like Taylor?
If we see nova grow up in the next planet of the apes movie, it'll be interesting, given that the apes will probably overthrow the world and that spaceship will crash land there
Looking forward to the movie I just wish her name wasn't Nova. The director has confirmed that this reboot series is supposed to take place in the same cannon as the original 1967 movie, but then they make this movie and add Nova? Originally articles online said it was the same Nova from the originals, which makes no sense since the 2 movies take place centuries apart, way after humans devolved into animals. So I just assume that this is just a coincidence in the universe... that there are two female characters with no name, named the same uncommon name by the male lead.... and aren't able to talk... Seems like a pretty big coincidence even if this is just a scifi movie. Feels like all that talk earlier about how these movies are supposed to lead up to the original was just bullshit or retconned. Kinda disappointing but none the less, this movie looks better than the last and so excited for it.
Nova father was killed by apes? I watched the movie twice and always thought that other humans killed her father because he was sick
@@waitthatsillegal5517 nope Caesar kills her father with a shotgun because he was about to kill Luca, Maurice and Rocket when he was putting down a pile of wood (the apes that accompanied Caesar in the War movie)
Kinda ironic.
Yes,it's so same experience
@@SilvaArmour3000it wasn't her father. Her father was with the Military
Maurice is such a softy haha. An orangutan with a kind heart :')
Taylor Gilligan yup he's my favorite ape by far since the first one. Him and buck
I like him too. And Blue Eyes!
A long way from the evil Dr. Zeus
Maurice, Bad ape, Nova and Ceasar are my favorite characters from this francise.
Taylor Gilligan I did not know that the character who plays Maurice is a girl
Last of us, Logan, and now this
I love the badass stepfather and adorable step daughter interaction.
Oh my God. Last of Us is exactly what I thought when I watched this. Lol
And then their father/father figure died. Like in Logan or Pirates of the Caribbean.
I literally started playing the last of us from the beginning 20 minutes ago and now I stumbled upon this lmao
Don't forget about the movie Hanna
Leon The Professional is a great movie of such format.
i couldn't hold my tears when nova brought a bucket of water for ceaser
Wasimul Akram That scene is so touching
Right it reminded me of groot when he gave that little girl a flower in guardians of the galaxy. It was an act of General compassion empathy and kindness with no tainted agenda behind it
Me too
Disgusting
Even did the Apes Together Strong hand system
This little girl is extraordinary. The moment she mimics "I am brave / apes are strong together" made me want to see that movie and cry. She makes this adventure extremely touching and illustrates brilliantly what it means to be human. Great performance that I will keep in mind forever now. Thanks Maurice for bringing her with you :)
They need a black child to play her
Nova is such an important character. I’m glad that she was reborn so beautifully for the new Planet Of The Apes. ✨
Maurice is my favorite ape in these films by far. Such a gentle and warming soul.
I love the friendship between Nova and Maurice. So sweet!
So this is gonna be an emotional roller coaster huh? I dig it
Alex Silva may be temporary
Alex Silva Thought you were making a "so thats it we some kinda dumb unfunny meme" joke at first.
Alex Silva no, it was pretty shitty
ya..ĸιndda

Lauren P soooo...your an animator huh...interested in working on a film??
Lauren P im majoring in animation too! awesome!
if she were a guy she would have turned into a Tarzan. But there is no such thing as female Tarzan.
There is. Look up Sheena.
no he shouldn't because it took him years to figure out the strucker of apes and to win there trust he should get more
Yep. That scene when they all get their fists together. 'Apes.. together... Strong"
That got me a bit.
drama, imagery, passing, expressions, emotions... this is one of the best movies I have seen in the last 10 years.
Uhm... Wow. Just... Wow. Are these movies actually getting even better with every one?
TheZzZzZzZzZzA feels that way. Before the first trailer was released I had trouble picturing this topping dawn. Not anymore thiugh
i can already tell Nova is going to be the most precious thing in cinematic history :))))))))
Best part is that this is exactly what happened. Made me want to cry like a little girl.
the Planet of the Apes trilogy is in my opinion the best example of what happens when you reboot a movie and actually care about it. These movies get better with each one and if this somehow manages to be superior to Dawn, then my faith in the future of film making will undoubtedly increase.
I still think Dawn is the best Ape movie ever and one of the best movies in general but War comes pretty close. Definitely the most epic.
Technically, this isn’t a reboot. This is more a prequel, as this is telling Ceasars story.
@89five3five not really because the OG franchise from the 60s and 70s already has origins and prequels and pretty much all of that, even the charecter Caesar. its a sad reality when you relise that cgi apes have more compassion then most of the people in the real world
Besides the movie looking to be fantastic, the CGI work in this looks to be unbelievable!!!
Oh man! it was everything.😌
It’s an amazing series. I highly recommend watching.
I agree, that human girl looks so realistic!
Did they use mocap for that?
Yeah this deserves an Oscar!
That was very sweet of them to take care of the girl, since the nice orangutan had took her to be safe.
It was the least they could do for After all, They did accidentally killed her father so technically they owe her
Omg Maurice is my all time favorite he has such a huge heart. Love him
#ApesTogetherStrong all 3 movies are 10/10
Not the girl named Nova of StarCraft 2 Nova Covert Ops.
no, 15/10
What are the names of
1st part and 2nd part of movies please?
Chaos Is Coming
Intolerant people who can't answer a question without being a fucker.
Nah, the first one 5/10
Maurice is so caring about her and she is so cute
Ok, there's advertising a movie and there's showing off how good it is, this is showing off
No, it isnt. If they were showing off they would be more annoying, But what if this is a scene? Part of a trailer? You don't know.
I saw the movie all I can say 10 % humor 40% violence 50% sadness
This tears can not stop shedding no matter how many times I watch this clip.
This looks incredible!
I'm shedding all the tears, dammit this is gonna be emotional
I can see Caesar is speaking in better full sentences now.
Just seeing the trailer, i still give this movie 100 out of 5 stars
1:56 OMG that's so adorable.
yess :D
I know .... Nova' s a beautiful girl
Its too much !!!!!
Love the relationship between Maurice and Nova
i am actually tearing up.. the feels
I was not excited before, now I am
I just can't wait for this movie anymore. This going to be epic and emotional as hell. The early buzz for this movie is so positive they calling it the best movie of the year and one of the best trilogies.
This is just one clip from the movie (well not even…) and it's already got me in tears!
This looks amazing. Finally a solid trilogy.
This is called Film making.
Some Guy More like trailer editing. Minimal yet convey so much. Brilliant trailer.
I love that Nova has been re-introduced into the remake POTA series like Caesar, but now I'm praying they don't kill her off like they did in the original POTA series cause she was my favourite character.
I had goosebumps through this whole video.
One of the most anticipated films of the year!
I just watched this last night and I immediately love these movies
We cannot take her Maurice...she is riding with Maurice on his horse looking at Ceaser...now that’s funny...be water 🌊
Just watched this film.... Phenomenal movie!! Incredible trilogy.
I love seeing Ceaser evolve with each movie. He started off with sign language, now he's speaking fluent english.
Bush did 9/11 jet fuel can't melt steel beams
Maurice apparently still hasn't learnt that skill yet
Sebastian Lim He only speaks sign language.
May I remind you of his "Run" in Dawn?
Plus that throat puch is probably limiting his speech.
WOW.. That was a really good little clip. Gave me the feels. Can't stop watching it.
When me and my girl are talking about comics, and she makes one mistake, I'm like 1:00
Alright, calling it: Nova's gonna be my favorite character.
Just watched the new apes movie.. thats why they called the girl NOVA !! OMG i knew it sounded familiar
Maurice is so nice :)
Ceaser saved nova. Nova Saved Caesar. Rocket saved nova. Caesar saved them all. Together apes strong with a little help from a human. That was brave enough to become an ape when the human s didn't want her anymore. Watch this film a few times it gets better every time
I really enjoyed these films.
And Maurice was the FN man! Or….APE!
best triogly in my opinion
I love that she has green eyes, kind of signifying her being one of them
I hope to see more of these two in the next movie
it would be amazing if the little girl is actually nova from the original planet of the apes since they are both mute and share the same name

The Batman is in great hands
Jesper Alber what does this have to do with batman
Matt Reeves :)
Ohhhhhh is he the director
Yep and he is a long time Batman fan :)
Ohhhhhhh I'm excited then that batman movie will be great
I had some reservation about this movie before, but now I'm actually pretty excited. Shows a more compassionate and human side of Cesar and the apes. Ironic, I know. =P
APES TOGETHER STRONG!!!!

Nope. That man outside may have been her father keeping her isolated for the virus she contracted.
it's going to be a great movie.
I don't about you but this is fantastic since a long time ago
cant wait!!
Can't wait to see!
we need more people like maurice
this movie gonna LIT!!!!
Just give Andy Serkis An Oscar Already.
hahaha lol that #mthfcker said "i donno" haha i love that
00:40 Nova looks like Someone's cloned Amanda Seyfried ??
Yup this hit the spot
This Nova may be differ then the original incarnation.
No shit sherlock
Just wow
Очень мило и душевно. крайне хочется чтобы фильм оправдал все ожидания и заработал в мире денег
Soo...... Can she talk or is she like Laura (X-23) lol, not talking until the precise moment
I think she might be the beginning of the humans being mute
Diego Manni humans are now being born mute because of the virus
Diego Manni probably going to be like nova from the original film
is this the last flimbecause they're making it seem so.
The last film of Caesar's saga. They have two more movies planned though.
That kid was stupid good in this movie. Like, "young Dakota Fanning" or "kid in The Sixth Sense" good... She should have a bigger career based on this performance, alone.
Expecting It going to cross 750 Million If it receives 85+rating in rotten like last time ..
Deepak Raja I think it has a good shot at getting a 95+ on RT
Rotten Tomatoes is the cancer of the film industry.
Ben Runsdorf *metacritic
I play the video
and read the comments
then I'm so focuse in comments
that I miss the video
so I have to play it one more time
So she's mute. And probably immune to the Simian Flu.
It's a mutated simian flu that made her mute.

Maurice: ey boy dont shoot her it will count as child abuse to humans
there is just something genetic about this series
Genetic? What?
One of use! One of us! Gooble gable gooble gable.
The first planet of the apes had the apes humalike in all the worst ways possible.
These films has them human like in all the best ways possible.
on every expression of Ceaser, there's Andy Serkis!
An angel at the very ending of the world
I would join Caesar in an instant!
Why do I feel that Caesar will be cold and distant to the little girl but then he will end up being protective towards her
She is so cute OMG I love her
When Maurice says "You are Nova" it really sounded like Charlton Heston. I thought it might be an overdub homage to the 1968 POTA. I checked the credits but only Karin Konoval was listed for Maurice. Did anyone else think it sounded like Taylor?
It WAS a nod to the 1968 'Planet of the Apes' movie per the commentary track for this movie.
If we see nova grow up in the next planet of the apes movie, it'll be interesting, given that the apes will probably overthrow the world and that spaceship will crash land there
So we are gonna see Mark Wahlberg again... lol
+xeroxophy I do hope not. He will only ruin the fun. I rather see chris pine😂
Excellent and amazing ❤❤
Chills...
Maurice is great 🙏
I'm seeing shades of Joel and Ellie, Lee and Clementine, and Logan and Laura...Please dont kill Maurice!
Cesar be acting out scenes from a Scarface album.
1:56 Cute af

Rip ceasar
