Love the idea of lowering overall, 10 might be a lot but -5 I think makes a lot of sense. Best players being 86 rated so when you hit a walkout it means something and then upgrades throughout the year mean so much more too. Hoping next years game the best players are 86-88 rated instead of 90+

Andy if you’re having trouble with the goalies try slapping a glove on them, makes them save a lot more shots rather than falling over all the time, you’ll still get the stupid stuff on occasion but they just work better with the glove on them, try it and see how you get on, love the series, haven’t missed an episode 🐐🐐
I've suggested lowering starting OVRs for years. The issue is that the player base are too thick to understand relativit. When the pace algorithm was rebalanced a few years ago people cried about everyone's pace being "downgraded" just because the numbers were different. As with most things, the community holds back progress....and then that same community will moan that nothing changes.
Im totally on board with reducing rating by 10 ovr. I said it way before and im still thinking its the best thing that could happen to this game. Right now gold van dijk is still best defender in the game and costs peanuts. By having 10ovr down it would keep the game fresh all year long with constantly something to grind for (like it was in old fifas where there was only 3 promos - totw toty tots and even tho there wasn't many special cards even grinding for a card that was 2ovr higher was worth it). Now the game feels dead after a month because at that point you can rarely upgrade your squad and its mainly sidegrading until you get lucky in some casino pack.
Why does everyone care so much about making their cards red? Just don't do it there that simple. Makes most cards look horrible anyways people just like to flex that they don't touch grass woo-hoo

It works for the hgher rated kinda but even then a high rated card can be fodder and goes into SbC's - the market would be far too low because every squad would be 82-85 rated and that would be dirt cheap .. it just wouldn't work.
You’re not thinking about it enough. An 82 mbappe would still be 2 mil. As 82 mbappe would still be the best player in the game. You would need to reset your mindset on ratings. The only thing I slightly agree on is sbcs would need to be changed. But they could just make early sbcs low rated squads and then increase as the year goes on. ( downside means they then force you to use special cards in later sbcs ) or they would need to make expensive sbcs have like 50 squads

When you play a game mode like kick-off, the cards have high ratings; the best players in the league are 99 rated and it is relative to that. For Madden Ultimate Team, even Patrick Mahomes, the best in the league, is 86 rated. Applying that logic to EA FC would mean that KDB would be 99 rated in kick off mode but 86 starting in UT. @AJ3Plays
I wish if you evo a card that was already red, it stayed red. I made Dobbin red at 84 rated after he played his 400th game for me. Now he's 88 but no longer red and I have to use another red evo on him to restore it

2:50 EA’s NHL ultimate team has done the same for years now. I don’t know why they can’t do it for FC. It seems like such a reasonable thing to do with the amount of promos EA does.
NBA 2k also does the same thing it makes the game less complex when it comes to upgrades and also gives more room for upgrades without making everything busted

I have only used my red pros on villa pnp players and am pissed off tielemans design looks awful with the red pro so i need to do like my evo tammy abraham or something because i cant do it on Schmeichel 🙃
Honestly I donno why they don't just let you toggle to keep the orginal special card designe when evoing a card and just give it a evo border design or a symbol on the card somewhere to signify it's an evo
What’s the difference between all of the players being slightly worse? Wouldn’t it just make the game more frustrating to play? People are always complaining about the mechanics that making players worse to start means less retention 🤷🏼♂️
Personally I find the game way more frustrating now with everyone running around with players with maxed out stats than I did at the start of the game, so I’d rather shift more towards the start
My thought process with the play style plus scenario is either make the ones to oppose the OP ones better or add new ones through the game to oppose the OP ones. It would make the game way more fun
the problem with taking down everyone’s rating is that it makes the pay to win gap so much bigger eg someone who can afford the new mbappe would be at such an advantage compared to everyone else

I feel like that’ll never happen. I feel like what you’re hoping for is somewhat inline with what fifa 15-17 was. There were team of the seasons that were mid 80s, I like the idea in theory but it’s never going to happen. The steep power curve especially with informs is new since there’s been a minimum level of inform ratings which I like. There have been so many informs that have been utterly useless in the past, now they’ve changed it for the better, at least that’s what I think

The rating decrease is what they do in Madden and it works so much easier the best default card is like an 86 overall works way better

Dropping overalls makes so much sense. This is a common theme in other EA Sports games as well (Madden & NHL).

i think instead of decreasing everyone's overall, just increase the overall ceiling like ea fc mobile to like 120 as the game progress
