Don’t worry I’m a white German man and had encounters like that as well. At least it’s not because you’re a foreigner. Once a lady drove after me with her car because my dog had peed on the sidewalk in front of her house. I would have apologized but she immediately called me all sorts of names like a-hole and stuff . This was the point when I got really angry and the lady suddenly realized she better don’t bother me and jumped in her car and rushed away. The lady in your experience doesn’t own the sidewalk or the street. You have to clean the poo but that’s all. Had I watched this scene as a fellow dog owner I would have taught that lady a lesson too 😂. But it’s not only Germany. I experienced it in Paris as well 🤷♂️
Well, I deal with these sort of 'business owners' in Germany in my job and always feel they have a sort of entitlement attitude, especially female ones I got the impression, but men too. So if they think they are in the right they want to let you know... I am dealing with this over the phone usually, but I can imagine what it's like face to face. And the fact that you are a black woman may have encouraged her also. But I think she would say that to a German/white woman or even man as well. But maybe in a different way and maybe not getting in your face as much and trying to take the leash, but who knows.
Sounds like you met a nasty person. Sadly, a person like that can be quite upsetting 😡 I think you did handle it well, considering how much she provoked you. Subscribed 👍
Oh dear, I'm sorry, that was a really bad situation but please don't let it discourage you. Unfortunately, there are plenty of such impudent (and disgusting) people around, so I can tell you a thing or two about them. Especially during the Corona time people here often lost the rest of their politeness. And right, the stupid thing about such situations is that they occur completely unexpectedly and unfortunately you feel paralyzed. But as you already suspect, she will have taken advantage of the fact that you are not German in order to "let you feel her power". You can also see this in your posture, like a steamed noodle. The actual (ridiculous) occasion was no longer her main concern. Such people usually have psychological problems (maybe also a pronounced inferiority complex). What she allowed herself to do with you, however, does not work at all. There is no need to be polite any more. Nevertheless, I think that you behaved very well here, so I take my hat off to you. PS: If she had ripped the bag out of my hand, I would probably have pressed it into her face. (And got me in a lot of trouble) PPS: And as for the laughing weirdo, just ignore him. Maybe he is stupid?🤪 PPPS: And excuse me, I wanted to write in your first post: Welcome to Germany and it's great that you're here. 😊
Awww thank you ❤️ it’s nice to know I wasn’t being overly sensitive in this situation... but besides the odd encounters like this, I do really like Germany so thank you for the warm welcome 😊
@@theemelaninexpat I am glad that you like it here so much 😊 and I keep my fingers crossed that you won't have another encounter with such a nasty person. If you do, always stay cool and take it with humor.😁 Maybe you can imagine how she slips and lands with her butt right on a dog pile...😈
Hmm.. but if I’m walking with him and he instantly stops to go to the bathroom how is that possible? But again, maybe it’s a cultural difference 🤷🏿♀️ But what wasn’t ok was her reaching to taking the lead out of my hand as stranger.. and even more so during a global pandemic
@@theemelaninexpatyou don’t have to take him to the tree. Just pick up the poo. And trying to take the lead…. That’s like a declaration of war. 😂 She wouldn’t have dared to do this to a man.
As a German, I am absolutely not surprised this happened. Spiesser is what we call people like that.

I like the way she talks about poo like it's some kind of science topic.

If there was a tree nearby I'd also have expected you to take your dog there.

ok, how would you convey that to a stranger?
