Pity many national carriers of the south Europe have quite recently adopted the scandinavian model for not offering catering for free. In August 2016 Air Malta was given free sandwich and drinks for the flight Athens to Malta with almost the same price. Nice video, thank you for sharing :)
Hello FlightExperience. Nice review. I would like to add one bit of info regarding the seating on most planes of AM. Fast forward to your walk-out, and notice that the seats up to 10:38 are a bit different to the seats showing from 10:39 onwards. Notice the tray table design is different, and the seat pocket of the seats from 10:39 onwards it rounded, whilst the seat pockets up to 10:39 are squared. This is because from 10:39 the seats are business class seats. They are thicker with more padding so should be more comfortable. However, because they are thicker, the legroom is a bit less. Also, notice the thicker more comforable headrest in the forward seats, with a nice aesthetic red line going around the headrest, which the prior seats do not have. Also, because they are business seats (in an economy cabin) the middle seat might have the armrest which falls out from the seat, a lucky feature if you have the middle seat free. Next time you fly AM, try sit further front, normally from row 9 and more front, but before the business cabin. This is the layout on most of the aircraft, but not all. Hopefully you wont fly on the 9H-AHS which has awful legroom, and also the NEO.
@Xibby I have never flown on them however I do believe them to be a bit better then the A320 ceo's in fleet. The first one registered NEO I am not sure how "good" it is because it was configured to another airline's requirements before being suddently leased by AM. My cousin flew on one of the other neo's and sat in an extra legroom seat economy class and it had proper extra legroom. The slimmer seats also give the cabin a more spacious look (although not necessarily more comforable).
@Xibby Correct I heard the NEO is the worst of the 4 neo jets. I cant remember if he flew on the NEC or the NEB. I believe the NEC has a good configuration too, as good as thge NEB I think? The NED I have no idea. I wonder if the NEO has been re-configured to AM requirements. The NEO still has Chinese notices in the cabin -- it was going to be leased to a Chinese airline. Anyhow the NEO certainly cant be as bad as the 9H-AHS. Legroom is abysmal. Worse than hopless. Garbage. An embarassment to AM. What are they waiting for to get it the f*** out of the fleet.
Ihr könntet mal (nur als idee) Aegean ausprobieren ab München. Ich habe sehr sehr gute Erfahrungen mit der Airline gemacht! Auf jeden fall die bessere Alternative zur LH.

Fantastic review. I often fly with Air Malta, and I agree with your assessment. There is always room for improvement, but sadly it’s all about making a buck these days. Long time ago Air Malta provided free food and it was tasty. Then they offered free bread , now you have to pay , I recently had a coffee on my way to Rome ,basically hot water in a cup, and a packet of Nescafé, it was horrible and cost €3 ! Never again. Safe flying wherever you decide to visit.

Thank you! On Air Malta or Lufthansa you arrive at Terminal 2. This terminal has two parts which are connected by a underground train. If you arrive at the K or L gates you have to take this free train to the main terminal (1min journey) to collect your luggage. If you arrive at the gates G or H you don't have to take this train.

Air Malta is basically just Ryanair
For a 2 hours flight you want entertainment ? And the ticket it's just 35€
You are seeing one of the older cabins. Slowly Airmalta is replacing them with Neos. Much nicer beileve me!
