The pump itself is just a lowtier weapon. You shot it once and hope to hit a good shot to have an easier battle. That's the shotgun we have right now.
Shotguns in fortnite were not supposed to be like that. Shotguns, like in every other game, should have been the go to weapon to eliminate your enemies in cqb. Not smgs. Smgs are for the people that lack the aim to use shotguns, it's a nice alternative, but it should never outperfom a freaking shotgun upclose. That's why we also have a tac.
The delay should be removed and the pump should be buffed. That's my opinion in 10 years of fps gaming.

The shotgun is called inconsistent because they think that every shot will do the same damage. But if you hit 1 shot out of a 10 bullet shell for a shotgun that deals 90 damage, then you'll deal 9 damage. There are cases of shotguns being broken that aren't "9 damage", but that one isn't real. (90 damage, 10 bullets was just an example, to the people who thought I was talking about a real shotgun in fortnite)

@@-xxxuchihacion-3318 Tbh i rarely get one barreled. The range on it is awful. I just think the way shotguns were before you didnt stand a chance If you didnt find a shotgun early game before. Now you have a fighting chance with almost every gun in the game while the shotguns are still the most useful gun early game and in build fights.

They are now broken because they don't consistently do a lot of damage. Earlier they were broken af because they did way too much damage way too fast and way too easily

They don't if you aim good then you can get good damage but against any spam weapon any shotgun player don't have enough time to hit them twice and the most damage one can do with pumps is 170 in a time period of 5 seconds while the grey SMG can do almost 200+ damage in the same 5 seconds. If epic brings double pump back then we would be able to hit someone more than twice in 5 seconds meaning if you aim right you can do 200+ damage which would be equivalent to of SMG but I do agree they need to do something about the range and the aim mechanic as there are certain times when I use a double barrel or pump right in someone's face but the spread makes the pellet completely miss their face and by close I mean right next to someone's head

Haik Mherian He’s using old clips tooo lmfao. They literally aren’t broken currently, if you go in playground and do test it’s 100% consistent based on distance, pellet spread and if you hit their head of it actually was blocked by their arm.

I almost constantly hit for over 100 damage with the pump, around 119 is probably the most common for headshots. 80 for body shots. But i always make sure to get good hits and hit all my pellets. I think the shotguns are fine.
