Knitting my first pair of socks which is one of my goals for this year. Looking forward to knitting some pretty fall socks. I love fall! Thank you for the lovely gift of your music and projects.
After focusing on socks for Summer Sock Camp, I am enjoying knitting a cowl now with plans to knit “house socks” out of Boucle yarn next and then a sweater! Loved seeing the concert at the lighthouse while listening to your beautiful piano music! Happy knitting😊
I just enjoy watching you play and share all your knitting! I’m going to be working on hats for the fall.. as gifts for friends and family🌸 Have a lovely week💜
Hello from Canada. I always have socks on my needles but as the weather cools here I will be starting a couple of cowls to give as gifts. Lovely podcast as always ❤. Thank you for sharing. 🇨🇦
Thank you so much for your energy and love for life, music, crafting and everything else you do. I have gotten stuck in making shawls. Right now I casted on the EYLEX SHAWL by Stephen West. Love it. Next on my needles will be the VERTICES UNITE in the colors of my company. Super excited 😊

Hi😊 I am also knitting socks, I have only just thought myself this year and I am loving it. I am knitting my son a pair. I am also knitting a chunky shawl in pumpkin orange for the coming months. I work from home and when everyone is off to work, school and uni during the day, I don't reallywant to put the heating on just for me unless it's super cold. 😊
What fun it would be to see you live (if only I could!). I am travelling and knitting a sea haven sweater….which I will need as the weather gets cooler in the UK.
Thank you for the episode, the knitting concert in the lovsl library sounds amazing, I am just sorry I am not in Danemark...love that idea..Best of luck with it and I look forward seeing it here💕💕💕
Hi from northern Sweden 🌞 This autumn I have a mystery sweater, a mystery gnom, temperatur blanket, socks, Morgans vest on my needles and of course a lot of wips that I'm trying to struggle my way through on the side 😉. Have a nice autumn 🍁🍂🌺
Good afternoon from Canada Malene. I was sent over to your podcast from Ollie and Bella’s podcast. I’m Very happy to be a part of your channel. I love the fact that you are a sock knitter. That’s mostly all I knit is socks. I find them so relaxing and very good for my metal health. I’am going to join Steven West’s MKAL this year I hope that I will enjoy it. Besides joining that I will always be knitting socks.
Recently found your podcast and enjoy seeing and heard about your projects. My fall/winter project started are Opal socks. Heavier and warm for the cold.
Tough decision for your lichen on the rocks shawl, they're all beautiful colours. ❤ I'm going to be casting on a big sweater to snuggle up in when the cold weather arrives 🥶
Oh funny that SM: I was still living in Duluth, MN (where most of my family still lives, some in Superior, WI), in early 1990s! Small world...Love the pivot on last year's MKAL. Mine was thrown in the corner after all the mess and I was just finishing the original clue 1, but I lost the joy also. I love your new project using it...have to add that to my favorites list now 😂. For Fall I am making socks (all the ones I have thought of each year and don't do and new ones); also a few sweaters and shawls to finish/start... Thanks, as always, for your generosity in sharing your time, makes, and music (and opportunity to win prizes!).
Good morning from NW Ohio USA. It’s was cool for a few days but now heating up again, sadly. I’m ready for cool weather! Currently I’m knitting socks and hats. The hat will be for my granddaughter’s birthday. It’s a variegated purple from a Northern Michigan hand dyer, and purple is her favorite color.

I've made socks from that yarn too,. Thanks for another great podcast!💕 xx
I am working hard to finish up a couple of projects I have on my needles so that I can cast on the Stephen West Picnic shawlette. I am also looking forward to knitting some Halloween and pumpkin inspired socks.

So enjoy your podcast, thank you for sharing your creativity with all of us. I'm planning to wind some yarn up and start the Mossblossom shawl by Wool & Pine. It looks so cozy and wearable for fall.
I’ve just bought some orange Tynn silk mohair that I’ll hold with orange yarn from stash to knit all the pumpkins, both for me and as gifts. Happy autumn! 🍂🎃🍁

Looooove the green Stephen West thing 💚 I'm knitting socks for my children to give as advent presents 🎁🎀 - the ones right now in fall colours 🍂🍁 have a nice sunday 🌞
Great video. Your piano playing is beautiful. My mom used to play and I sure do miss it. I only have a pair of socks in a mystery yarn, as I’ve lost the band, on my needles. Just finished up the vanilla fluff sweater.
Love how the thin scarf came out. That heel looks interesting. I love how the sheep were just laying there ignoring you 😅. Love that color green called Little John, my son is John. I may have to buy some 😅. Let's see 🤔 for fall. I have been doing some fall chicks and will have a video on them Wed but also want to do a few pumpkins for friends. Oh wait I have my fall socks on my needles, one sock is done. Getting ready to do a shawl all in shades of green. Congrats on you live at the library, have fun.
I am making a Soleie Shell by Skeindeer knits. I plan to wear it as a vest over a long sleeve blouse. The yarn was a reward after a major cancer treatment that is successful so far. Yay! Thank you for your cheerful podcasts.
I love the Stephen West pattern you are knitting, such great colors. The socks are wonderful again. I started to knit the Dobbinwood from Kay Jones. It is a big wrap, almost a sweater without sleeves, but it is open on the sides. I use supersoft for it so it will be very warm for fall.
Hey Malene, yes Fall is here and I am excited for all the socks and shawls that will come into the world. Presently, I am working on The Til shawl by Sonder Yarn Co. It will be a comfy cozy shawl..lots of knitting, extremely meditative and I enjoy it. You have now got me thinking about the vertices unite. The exploration station in another master piece! I how never ventured into Stephen vest patterns yet.. They are gorgeous and massive, I'm not sure if I am ready for them yet. Perhaps, this fall is the right time to get them on my needles. Wishing you happy knitting my friend!
Stephen’s patterns sure are massive. I also find them quite playful to knit. And especially love the ones with lots of garter🤩 Happy knitting and thank you so much for your kindness🤗💖

About 20 pairs of socks are shorties which everybody seems to love (Also the chickens!). I wish I could come to your live event but it would be a long journey from the Canadian prairies
Thank you Doreen! Wow! So many amazing knits🤩 During Knitathon, hosted by Traveling Miss Knits, I’ll be live here on UA-cam with a little concert for knitters. So almost as the concert in October😊 I’ll talk more about it on my next episode but the date is November 16th😃
Hello, enjoyed the podcast as always! That is an interesting heel. I am working on my first sweater, as well as two pairs of socks. It's nice to be able to switch projects.
I was so excited to see that you had a video on line for my Sunday knitting time. While watching, I was able to finish a test knit for Ellie (Craft House Magic) of her Alternathumb Fingerless Mitts. For fall I am trying to “sweep away the leaves (WIPs)” by finishing some of the WIPs that I “abandoned” when the weather turned hot here in California. Of course I will cast on plenty of socks since I always have at least 2 socks on the needles. (I really enjoyed the new word - solemate! From now on I will knit “a sock and its solemate”! Until the next time. fred og glæde
Good Evening from Indiana. Love your podcast and all your pretty socks! I am currently finishing up a cowl called Cowlstruck by Laura Nelkin. Also, working on Christmas socks for my 4 kids and my daughter in law too! 😊

Hello from Las Vegas Nevada. No new cast ons. I am picking up wips that I put aside for the summer when it was too hot to have a wool sweater or blanket on my lap.
Hello from Northern California! I always have at least 2 pairs of Sock WIPS on my needles. But, I’m really looking forward to joining in on my first Stephen West MKAL. Then, I’d like to make another Anthology throw. Excited for fall! And how cool you are doing a live Playful Knitter! Would love to attend if I were nearby.
Hello currently in South Africa we are in Spring. I am crocheting a springbuck for a friend grandchild. I an keeping my projects small in September and October is MKAL.
THank you again for your lovely piano playing I always look forward to that part of your podcast. Congratulations on the production of your new bag; It is so very creative and beautiful! ! I have cast on, not one, but two shawls, Oh my goodness! Who am I. One is the founders shawl by Taylor Owen, and the other is the Odyssey shawl by Joji Locatelli! I am loving them both.
So inspired by your shawl knitting 🧶 for this autumn I am knitting this years winter sweaters for my two grandchildren - 5 and 7 years old. I will be knitting the blueberry sweater by Sisuknit in oh so soft alpaca ❤
Hello from North Carolina. I currently have the Digory Tee on the needles along with the Sophie Shawl and 2 pair of socks. I am planning a pullover sweater but not sure which one yet. I truely enjoy your music and knitting adventures.
I’m with you on the 1x2 ribbing for sure and I also like a 1x1 rib but I do the purls through the back loop and bring my yarn knit wise direction around the working needle It somehow neatens up the purls, for me, as the yarn has to travel less distance, I think 😉💜🧶
PS After seeing your pretty Zig Zag yarn, I ordered some from Wool Warehouse It comes in some really great colourways and is very reasonably priced I’m in Australia and the postage wasn’t too expensive either, especially if I share the ❤️and combine an order with a yarny friend 🤗
Thanks again for a very entertaining episode. I watched it while knitting on the color popportunity shawl by Stephen west and when you showed your batad by him I immediately fell for it. So this will definitely be one of my next cast ons. As my wardrobe is lacking cardigans, my next project will be the traveller shell, I think a good cardi for fall.
Thank you for your inspiration - I am always looking forward to hearing from Aalborg! I still have a summer top in my needles, the Freestyle Shirt By PaulaM, but I am eventually planning for some Halloween socks…. Greetings from Bavaria
Ohhh I’m loving your “House Socks” I’m currently knitting the Vertices Unite and hoping to take it with me to Rhinebeck 😍 I will be casting on the Jack O Lantern striped socks by Gauge Dye Works one stripe a day for the month of October and now thanks to you I will be joining the KAL for the Yellow Lichen on Rocks Shawl 🥳🥳🥳

Hello again, dear Malene, I'm so glad my remark about the "sole mate" brightened your day a little bit!! 😂. Thank you for another lovely podcast... They brighten my day! My autumn knit is a colourwork sweater with pumpkins round the yoke, called " Hello Gourd - geous". I am doing this because a few nights ago, I had a dream that I was knitting a pumpkin sweater, and next day, I saw this pattern on Ravelry, and thought it was meant to be 😊❤
Ha, I shall always think of "sole" mate too now. I had never thought of it before, just when I heard you say about a sock buddy! I just love your podcasts on a dreary English day... I love the fact that we are in different countries, different ages... I am 71...but we can be "sole" mates too!! ❤Much love Pam x
It's not Fall here in South Africa, but casting on a cardigan in Plotulopi bought in Greenland for me by my sweet son in law.(He's colorblind so it wasn't easy for him. He did a great job!)

I’d love it if I could travel and get to knit with you all🤩 Happy first MKAL😍

THank you again for your lovely piano playing I always look forward to that part of your podcast. Congratulations on the production of your new bag; It is so very creative and beautiful! ! I have cast on, not one, but two shawls, Oh my goodness! Who am I. One is the founders shawl by Taylor Owen, and the other is the Odyssey shawl by Joji Locatelli! I am loving them both.
Shawl knitting is so much fun🤩

So inspired by your shawl knitting 🧶 for this autumn I am knitting this years winter sweaters for my two grandchildren - 5 and 7 years old. I will be knitting the blueberry sweater by Sisuknit in oh so soft alpaca ❤
How wonderful to knit sweaters for them. Like always having a hug from you close by🤩
@@ThePlayfulKnitter exactly - they in fact ask me to knit sweaters and socks for them 👍 - they have been indoctrinated since they were babies 😂
@@evawhrens822 sounds absolutely perfect🤩😍
Hello from North Carolina. I currently have the Digory Tee on the needles along with the Sophie Shawl and 2 pair of socks. I am planning a pullover sweater but not sure which one yet. I truely enjoy your music and knitting adventures.
Thank you🎵💖
I am making the basket weaver cowl by Stephen West for my husband to wear on his motorcycle as it gets cooler
Yes, I purl that way too. Makes things so much neater🤩
I just finished by Batad today and I love the fit🤩
@@ThePlayfulKnitter looking forward to seeing it as an fo in your next podcast

Hello again, dear Malene, I'm so glad my remark about the "sole mate" brightened your day a little bit!! 😂.
Thank you for another lovely podcast... They brighten my day!
My autumn knit is a colourwork sweater with pumpkins round the yoke, called " Hello Gourd - geous". I am doing this because a few nights ago, I had a dream that I was knitting a pumpkin sweater, and next day, I saw this pattern on Ravelry, and thought it was meant to be 😊❤
Absolutely meant to be🤩
I just love the “sole” mate - now I will always think of it when I knit socks for my soul mate😊
