The Bowen - EOG co-op isn't something I expected, but it is something I very much appreciate. What a beauty! What would make it an even higher level, off the charts build is a power buff and a 10-speed swap. That would be THE ultimate spec, just a perfect balance between form and function.
This is a better option than an Earthroamer than I think from a long term perspective. The only addition I would like to see added was being able to add a 5th wheel / gooseneck as well as some camper owners have a 5th wheel as well.
Agree with others in the comments; it is a great build. All the options I would want with one addition, a hydraulic lift for a motorcycle on the back, something like a KTM 890 Adventure R would do nicely. Do you ever run these trucks across a scale to find a final payload? I made the trip he was referring to in my truck camper with a 3500 this year. Every time I hit a frost heave or pothole, I wished I had a 5500. I didn't experience the braking concerns (wasn't pulling anything) and had all the power I needed.
Thanks so much! Our RAM 5500 Black Edition weighs 9,670lbs as we build it. With the Bowen Customs bed it is close to 11,000. Payload still not an issue as our trucks can support nearly 10,000lbs payload. With the 19,500lb GVWR, this truck can still haul 8,000lbs comfortably😁 The LiquidSpring Smart Suspension also makes potholes much more enjoyable to drive over.
I love EVERYTHING about this build video except for one small thing. The painter wasn't wearing eye protection. It only gets me because of when I used to paint back in the day and get some specs on my eyes. When I see that, it always makes me rb my eyes. But like I said, I love the vid and the build. Your builds are always awesome. 😁😁😁
Now I have a new need I can't afford 😢. It could only be better with 3 improovements: 1) Air front and rear lockers (didn't heard there were any). 2) Train Horn 3) th3 front bumper being steel with a full front protection (I'm all for a 1/4" thick steel wall all around a bumper and it having that bullbar covering slightly above the hood in the center and adding the headlight protection. But man, I would absolutely not hessitate to jump on this exact rig. Maybe the wiring on the Aux lights could be slightly better. I like to link them to the factory stuff, so I like the bar to be trigered with the high beams, the fogs by the factory switch and just leave the ditch lights and rocklights as aux switches (also rear facing for camping purposes and forcing assholes in the highway to turn off their high beams if they are blinding me).

If i had the money this is close to what my dream truck would be. Id wants all surfaces painted with line x body armor or equivalent, id want the bowen bed to be fully enclosed. Id want a second full size spare on the opening rear door of the fully enclosed bed. Id want the 22 mid tank swapped with the 40 from titan as well as the 100 in bed auxillary diesel tank resulting in 192 gallons on board diesel!
One of these days I may have to hit you guys up for a truck provided I can get the funds together. Gorgeous rigs. It's like a comfier version of an International MXT, actually good looking though. Instead of being an ugly bugger. xD

Different bed configurations for 5th wheel are available for these beds as well.

Not a complaint or anything - but I find it odd that Bowen does not include a lockable cover over the fuel ports.

We have air lockers and air horn available to clients for their builds. Our front and rear bumpers are 1/4” steel as well.
