I haven't had potato candy in 45 years, or even heard of anyone making it. My mom and grandma used to make it. Delicious. Thanx for keeping these old school recipes alive.
When I was a child, we had a neighbor that used to make this candy. I loved it, and have thought of it often, wishing I knew what it was and how it was made. And now I know! Can't wait to make this!
Oh I love it! I always make on Halloween and Christmas. It’s so good. Let me know if you make it. My mouth is watering right now. I might have to make some more this week. Thx for watching and commenting.

Looks yummy!
It’s delish!!!!
This is how my grandma made it. Definitely tastes awesome. I’ve seen where you can use half n half or cream cheese vs a potato.
Good to know. :)
Do you let the potato cool before you mix it with the sugar or is it ok to go ahead and mix while the potato is still hot/warm?
I do let it cook. Room temperature is good. Thx for watching.
Trying soon. Love this candy!
Hey Shannon!! Love you so much!!❤️💙❤️

I've only made these on, they are delicious, but sickeningly sweet. I feel bad for the diabetics, who can't enjoy it.
I know. We love it too. But it is so rich.
How do you get the sugar crystals out ?
Powdered sugar doesn’t have crystals. It’s just like powder. Thank you for watching.
I love potato candy. It’s my favorite!
Mine too!!!
I like you spatula where did you get it ! Thank you for this recipe!! GOD bless you!!
I love it too! My “Sister in love” bought it for me. I’ll have to ask her!! Thanks for watching.
Please ask her ! GOD bless y’all honey 🙏🏻
did you ever do peanutbutter easter eggs out of the potatos
No. But I’d love to know how. Could you share??? Thx watching.
💙
So good. Thank you for watching.
Thanks
Thank you for watching!!
I make something similar. Mine is a chocolate peanut butter pinwheel.
Ohhh...that sounds great!!
I’ve made this many times and you don’t have enough peanut butter the ratio should be almost 60/40 dough to peanut butter
Well thank you for the tip. It sure was good. Thank you for watching.
@@ourforeverfarm please don’t get me wrong I love all of what I’ve watched you make ❣️
My dad made this like this but sometimes put food color in it
That’s a great idea!!
