I own both, and yes MA 390 grew on me for sound quality and comfort... And yes they went through an accidental machine wash in my jeans and survived all good!!!
The sony ones are also good with the punch and for gaming I prefer them because of the angled jack...

I know that bass is much better on the xb55ap but i want to know that which is good for sound clarity (vocals, soundstage, instrument separation, treble). If Sony gives crystal clear sound with loots of bass then i will definitely go for the sony. If the rha gives more clarity then i will go for the rha
I'll recommend ex255ap and rha ma390 for voice clarity... xb55ap is also recommend but any earphone with high bass will result in slightly less vocals because that's the property of a "dynamic driver". You can go with any of these three.

Go with senheiser... first i ordered senheiser 275s... then i returend after i purchsed sony ex255ap... this time i can say senheiser... in my opinion cx180 have more bass than 275s.. like woofer effect... (2 year experience incx180).. if you have 1600rs u can go with 275s.. (sory for my bad english ).. just received ex255ap... my first reaction is this.. may be it changed

Cx180-average bass(70%) but the effect is good, not for music

Sonyex255ap-good bass(80%), clear voice, good for music.
Totaly diffrent sound it produce like samsung tv vs lg tv display both are good cant say which one is better(its personal)

@@akairyuugamine09 yeah but sound quality is subjective to the medium. Rha is really good in wired and I believe Oppo is one among the best in wireless(based on word of mouth).

@@lotoftech i have used one not long ago. but it became more cumbersome to use as mine always used to disconnect while being connected to my laptop. Not much of an issue on my phone though, apart from the sound quality.

My 75 actually now hitting 10% more than 55 after 100hrs burn in. 7 years back I returned xb90ex, which I got at dirt cheap price. I was stupid, 'cause I didn't even know about amplifiers back then. Without amp, xb75 beats the hell out of xb90. With amp, xb90 beats the shit out of xb75/55. The best punch you can get is actually from pioneer se-cx8 and cx9. I heard it once and I am in pursuit of one. But nowhere to be found. The sony 800 / 7550 something tap mode will actually give you more details on the punch. But cx8/9 hits harder.

My RHA 390u got delivered yesterday and man I'm disappointed. All over the reviewers it now feels like an exercise in hype-making. I'm utterly disappointed by how these handle low frequencies. Poor is the word. I'm not a basshead but this is below average. A little too flat. Yes the vocals are good, and its clear. But the overall volume is somewhat lower. The punch is missing. The microphone is shabby. The wires are unusually long. Unless you listen to classical all the time you shouldn't buy these. I'm confused now, which ones should I buy to replace this between 1more single driver or Xb255?

@@lotoftech I've been using 1more pistons before these. Don’t get me wrong, I know these tuning of earphones under 1k is a little on the bassy/punchy side. But considering I've used my brothers sennheiser cx 275 extensively I have an idea of what to expect. I understand people have different tastes, and depending on it bass/punch might be a boon or a bane. To give you a context I want an earphone that blow my mind when I throw stuff like The Weeknd - The Hill, 21 Savage - Bank Account, Lorn - Acid Rain, Calms Casino - I'm God. PLEASE help me find the ONE.
@@neelkantgajhbiye4482 Its ok, i feel sorry that my review didn't lived upto your expectations. You are more into hard rock kind of music which needs more volume and thump. From that perspective rha will feel not that happening and this is what you mentioned. Also your are coming from an earphone which is loud and your ears have got used to it. As per your taste i recommend Sony xb55ap.
Use RHA while watching movies and give them some time, slowly you will like them.

the track is selected that brings out the best difference between the two. Rha will have crisp vocals as compared to 55ap. Hope it helps.
