Black women…it is Imperative that we band together in unity now more than ever! We have the highest number of DV victims and the highest rate of human trafficking victims. If no one else will try to save us and even if they do…WE need to save ourselves…friends, mothers, daughters, sisters…even a stranger if we can. At this point…it’s necessary! 🙏🏽

Black women (aware or no) are a huge foundation holding the planet in orbit!!! So important to life, purpose and meaning!! They simply must be treasured and protected as a gorgeous rare diamond!
None of us will ever understand the bent crap of a serial killer; but you only need to avoid: unwarranted attention (even if the flattery feels good). Attempts to over share serious trauma when they don't know you. Refusing to caretake the unknown wounded if they are male. Avoid men that acert domination over anything when they haven't been married to you for 10 years.
What we know: they are narcissistic. Either sociopathic or pathological, know the diff. One is impulsive and the other grooms his victims. They over focus of the huneymoon phaze to charge up the relationship trust so they can feed off the high of destroying your sense of self then they murder you.
Don't ever go near a man attracted toward violence or gangs!!! If they talk slot about it (get rid of them). Tell everyone, it's your policy to not participate in any over sharing with men (and why) because unhealthy predators tend to target victims and groom victims in this way.
27 year pattern? Were the authorities waiting for a 862 year pattern to be established before they do something in those troubled areas with abandoned houses? Amazing.

The government has known about this for over 30v years. They have a homeless crisis with empty homes in every state. God help the people who have been assaulted or even worse killed in the abandoned houses they didn't deserve this. No one deserves this.

Where I live they bought 2 huge vacant houses there for homeless people one for men and one for women. They can stay at night. First thing in the morning they have to leave and go job hunting and have proof that they tried. There is another place on the same street they feed them through donations. We also have a drug addiction center that will let you keep your kids get schooling and get over the addiction and get a apartment & keep your kids. We are a republican state. I don't care what state you live in red or blue people need help. They get help here or the police keep locking them up. Our last mayor had tiny houses built for homeless people. I can say I have seen it first hand. My father sold them the land for one shelter that washes their clothes and feeds them. We don't have a tent city or drug addiction on the streets here.They have Christian organizations that pay power bills and help with rent. You have to pay at least 1/2 . The old abandoned high school is a nice gym now. They refurbish houses here there are Dr. Offices some are are lawyers Offices. Some are physical therapist. They turn them into insurance Offices. Mental health Offices and dentist offices. They are pretty nice.Better than being vacant. We do have vacant houses not as many as other big cities. Unfortunately we do still have murders and assaults and robberies.

At this age of 48yo and having been born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, one thing has become painfully clear. Many times, there is no why! There is no motive! We have to accept the presence of evil amongst us! If that is not obvious to everyone by now, I don't know what else it will take to clarify that fact. Furthermore, don't blame it on mental illness because plenty of people who suffer from mental illness do not commit evil acts. Evil is just evil. Accept that! My heart goes out to all of these women and their families! May the Father help them cope with these tragic events!

It's horrible how this pattern has been going on for about 30 years. My father-in-law's girlfriend was killed in this area on the South side of Chicago found with her head literally bashed in. Horrific and sad is an understatement. Her murderer was never found and that was about 21 years ago. Looks like the work of a serial killer(s) to me. SMH!! Justice for all these women.
I tell my nieces to be careful out here on the streets and to travel together in groups but most importantly, to watch what they say to people and how they say it to people because talking at a person, especially a man of any race in a condescending tone of voice as though you are talking at them like they are stupid or you are trying to intimidate them, or challenge their manhood, will put you on the list of 600,000+ Black women who came up missing since 2004. It's all about treating people the same way you want people to treat you because people will treat you the same way you treat them because every action comes with a reaction. It doesn't matter where you at; at work, at home, on a bus, etc. BLACK WOMEN JUST NEED TO BE CAREFUL AT HOW THEY TREAT PEOPLE AND HOW THEY USE THEIR WORDS AT PEOPLE. Once black women do that, they don't have to worry about becoming another statistic.

In my old neighborhood one of my elderly neighbors spouse passed away and his children came to live with him for a while then they left and took him with them. The house was abandoned with no upkeep for a long time. I stayed calling the city so they could send somebody to keep the grass cut. Whenever I saw suspicious people at the house I called the police. They were slow to respond. Somebody managed stripped the house of the copper pipes and air conditioning unit before somebody moved in it. I got photos of one vehicle with the tag to give to the police. One time one officer showed up while somebody was there. They talked them then the person left. I moved out of the neighborhood because it started to deteriorate with undesirables lurking. It looks a mess now.

If you do a UA-cam search of her name. You will see they released new info and a video of her before her disappearance two weeks ago.
Or Taylor Robinson here from Akron Ohio. Almost a decade ago back in 2013 she went missing while working an overnight shift as a home health aid and wasn't seen again for the rest of the summer until her remains finally turned up somewhere in Cuyahoga Valley during the fall. To this day she remains a cold case with her killer still out there.

I believe also based on the nature of these crimes that the attackers have been watching these women for some time and even communicating or befriending them. These situations are seldom random although they can be; but often not strangers.

But what to also consider we may not know them at all but someone can be watching us and we don't know it. I walk a lot and I would occasionally have women and men say to me sometimes at the store that they see me walking. But I didn't see them. So I think it's a combination of both but I try to observe certain color cars that I see passing by me etc., because you never know if someone is watching you

But this is "about race" for two reasons. First, Black women face much higher rates of murder than white women. Second, police are more likely to clear cases when victims are white--a 2018 Washington Post analysis of nearly 50,000 homicides around the country found that an arrest was made in 63 percent of murders of white victims, compared to 48 percent of those with Latinx victims and 46 percent with Black victims. And in low income Black neighbourhoods, the arrest rates were generally among the lowest in the US (Wapo artice entitled "Where Killings Go Unsolved").
Additionally, we know specifically that CHICAGO police have a racism problem--studies show that Chicago police are 14 times more likely to used violence against young Black men than against white men. And Chicago PD are 10 times more likely to use force against Black women than white women, AND TWO TIMES MORE LIKELY TO USE FORCE AGAINST BLACK WOMEN THAN WHITE MEN! (Intercept article, 2018 titled "Chicago Police Are 14 Times More Likely to Use Force Against Young Black Men Than Against Whites").
So the issue is not so much about race as about racism. Black women are more likely to be murdered than white women, & their cases are more likely to be left unsolved by police.

This is good reporting; and needed because often times black women MISSING PERSONS are UNDERREPORTED compared to WHITE WOMEN. Thank you for bringing light to this terrible pattern. I pray they look deeper into these murders. It was saddening to hear about this woman's sister and how they found her. It seems like black women have to be killed in large numbers before the authorities start paying attention! The same thing happened with the Anthony Sowell story out of Cleveland, Ohio. Many women and children were going missing in DC a couple years ago as well, but I don't know if they caught anyone. Very scary!

Their absence leaves a stinking stench of a void. Chicago is worse than New York City. The absence of these [black] women is soulbreaking.
New York City is still horrible. Chicago has been bad for a longer time, with NYC being more a recent decline in the last 5-10 years, but it doesn't help to compare one city to the other. Both cities are corrupt. Both have oppressive police forces that don't genuinely care for the well-being of it's citizens. On top of that, these issues also stem from a poor federal government that does nothing to fix the core problems that result in this behavior. Both Chicago & New York City need lots of help. Same goes for Philadelphia too.

I lived on 1549 s. St Louis for 18 months, it wasn't until last year when I was revisiting this case is when I found out that one of the victims was found in the basement . I have almost 2 years worth of mail with that address on it!!
Grew up at 14th and Christina there were several missing or murdered women in the area and that has gone on for many years...
I went to 13th and St Louis for a very different reason not knowing the things that took place in that neighborhood behind closed doors or in abandoned buildings. Thank god I’m clean now and haven’t gone out west since 2017.

Doesn't matter who you're going with, how long you've known them, who they are to you, or how much you trust somebody, always tell someone else where you're going, exactly who you're going with and how long you think you're going to be.
In the absolute worst case, if something happens, they should call you if you've not returned by the time you've said. If you don't pick up the phone then, and once again later on, at least the person you told would know for fact who you were with and where you should be.

I was snatched up by 3 prostitutes, taken to NY and was almost forced to prostitute. I was able to get away. Took me over a day to get home. Thankful for the 1 person who helped me. Something has to change. Black lives are valuable too

To all women in Chicago. Look up Detroit tactical defense training this could save your life. It's probably one of the best videos on how to defend yourself by applying these techniques to even people twice your size
They should make it mandatory to have volunteers with search and rescue dogs to go through every one of these abandoned homes and keep a record on it. You'd be surprised what you might run into probably a place that's been there for years and everybody looked the other way

@@bigmountain1970 The "no snitch" policy is also due to fear of retaliation. You point the finger at a criminal and his family, friends, and/or gang will come to take out their frustrations on you. Especially if that POS is killed trying to resist arrest. A woman called the cops on these guys doing some sort of crime (I can't remember what they were doing). The police made an arrest and a while later she went outside to check her mail and those guys shot her while she had her kid with her. I believe this was last year (as a matter of fact it was last 4th of July) and they still haven't convicted anyone for her murder. So, while I agree with you that the "no-snitch" rule needs to end, it isn't just about being a coward or not wanting to get involved. It's also about someone being left to the mercy of someone's crazy family members and friends. But I'm sure you already know that.
