THIS is what convinced me to watch Majo no Tabitabi, and then they gave me EPISODE 9
I'm assuming episode 9 was where that blue haired girl revealed her true colors?

@@TheKeller101 If you haven't seen the show, I'd highly recommend watching the anime first and then decide if you wanna read the light novels (light novel is better than the manga). Elaina is a traveling witch and she doesn't stop to help others because she's not a hero, just a traveler wandering by without getting involved in others' problems. She had seen many worse situations but decided to simply let it happen instead of interfering. However, Elaina agreed to lend some of her magic to help this girl 8:36 travel back in the past to meet back with her childhood friend one last time. (Apparently she was put to jail for murdering her own parents, but the lavender-haired witch girl did not know of that yet, and assumed the purple girl was good at heart because they used to be childhood friends) in this episode, the purple haired girl shows her true colors and intent to murder the lavender-haired witch, saying "she was never her friend", and this scene was...... explicitly gore, be warned......anyone can be scared because of that scene. In short, the lavender-haired girl was betrayed by "her friend" or so she thought, and she had to kill the purple haired girl to put a stop to the murderous intent she had. She was crazy. lol
That's basically episode 9 summed up in short, if you're interested, I'd say go ahead and watch the anime first before the light novels. It's worth it. 👍
@@TheKeller101 Also if you are looking for yuri anime, know that this *isn't* a romance focused or yuri anime but it isn't a bait. Saya surely loves Elaina but her attraction is one-sided. Elaina doesn't show any slight interest in romance with anyone, and she rolls eyes when she came across another two women who were seemingly in love. You could assume Elaina is aromantic or aroace because she shows no interest in romance and only wants to continue her journeys. Elaina does however cares for Saya, she really values her more than others, makes exceptions for her, and has an alternate reality counterpart that is obsessed with Saya, so make that as you will. It doesn't go any further than one-sided love from Saya.
The author has stated he wasn't planning to give Elaina any romantic partner because that would interfere with the journey of Elaina (that's the whole point of the story, the story doesn't focus on Elaina but rather the background or temporary characters she meets in her journeys, it's about them, not her). The author is yuri fan so you'll definitely see side characters who are couples. But nothing happens between Elaina and Saya past the few times they met. Saya also looks up to Elaina and aiming to be a witch on the same level as her.
If you were planning to watch it for yuri, you're not getting it but if you watch it for the story, it's really good (in my opinion).
