My Great Grandfather fought in the battle of IwoJima as a Marine, getting the purple heart for getting a shrapnel to the leg. He died in 2004 due to natural causes, may he rest in peace. He’s inspired me to join the Military and when I turn 18 I’m joining the Army.
Semper Fi my family!🇺🇸👍🏽 So humbling watching these warriors of the past…37 years in the Corps….what a family to be a part of …. God Bless all …..stay safe my brothers.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
No marines in my family were at the Battle of Iwo Jima though one Navy relative was apart of the island’s bombardment on the USS Missouri, though my Great Granduncle a Marine (Peleliu and Okinawa) would talk about some of the friends he lost at this battle. May they all Rest In Peace Semper Fi
That where we came from Missouri. The Democrats started that war. Harry S Truman, and something to do with Alabama National Guard. The radio operator had some kids they live down the road and they're total morons. Always promoting Democrat /Sexual Libralism Crap.
My father served on Iwo Jima during the Pacific Campaign, after the US Marines captured the first airfield. Dad was in the US Army Air Force as a P-47 Thunderbolt flightline engineer and mechanic.
My grandpa and uncle were on the island that month. They were killed there. My father grew up an orphan and died of alcoholism and insanity. To hell with democracy.
@@VRCM_Skywarn_XUSA I'm sorry that you had a bad childhood, but we're not a Democracy , we're a Constitutional Republic. And we were fighting in the South Pacific because we were attacked by Japan. Just because your father turned out that way, you didn't have too.
My grandfather was with 4th Marine division and was on the 2nd wave where he paid the ultimate sacrifice. I one day plan to go to that island and walk in his foot steps and place my own dog tags from my time in the Corps on Mt Sheribachi
My father Cpl Albert Stone, Radio/Signalman, 4th Marine Division, 24th Marine Regimental CP, Standing on Iwo Jima. 4 landings in Pacific: Saipan, Tinian, Roi Namur and Iwo Jima. Survived all 4. Very true President Reagan. The words spoken by you is so well stated. The history of Iwo Jima was quite a hardship for all who were there. I celebrate and thank all of our servicemen and women for what they have done to allow us to keep what we have. Our Freedom. Our Right Of Free Speech. Our right to bear arms. Our freedom to worship. Our freedom to choose what we would like to do, not what someone else decides what we are to do. We are ever so grateful for all who have served our country, risking all, for us. So many paid the ultimate sacrifice for ALL of us, The Citizens Of The United States Of America. You are thought of every day, for what you did for us. Thank you so much for your bravery, your devotion and love for our country. For this love you have given us, we are so fortunate to say, thank you all so much. You are loved. ♥️🇺🇲♥️ USA ♥️🇺🇲♥️

The new generation of gender confused & fem boi Marines would not have been able to win the battle of Iwo Jima. Not even close. If it wasn't for the hard straight men of the old corps we would all be speaking Japanese or German right now. We are tasked with never forgetting our heritage or history while also ignoring unimportant nonsense. It would be wise for current "leadership" to do the same. *RIP to our fallen and God bless the legendary Marines of old.*
