Why not bring any veterans?? Young teams need veterans who can handle the pressure and can bring composure to the team
Look at last ucl winning teams, they all have veterans, Madrid has kroos, modric, nacho, rudiger etc, City has kyle walker, kevin de bruyne, bernardo silva, and had gundogan, Bayern has muller, neuer etc

PCQ: the way i see it, you have to choose between one of two scenarios for season 3
1- you sell De Jong, and buy a world-class CDM with the money, to make a defensive 4-3-3
2- you take in Messi, let him be a leader in the squad as CAM, and move to an attacking 4-3-3
Don't bring messi back you should think about waiting for him to retire and speaking with his agent to make him a coach he understands the barca way especially since he played with xavi he would also be a great coach for Zito

PCQ: Don't get Messi, his time at Barca is over. I suggest you get Zubimendi as CDM since he is heavily linked to us irl. Play him with Pedri and Gavi as CMs. You also need more firepower in attack, maybe get Antonio Nusa for the wings since he's linked to us irl. He's a fast dribbler called the Norwegian Neymar.
You could also maybe try Xabi Alonso's tactic, the 3-4-2-1, then it would look like this:

CB (ball player): De Jong, basically as a sweeper, he has played this role before at Ajax
