Gorgeous - I love it. I see Breitling, which you know I love, in a similar category as Panerai: they have created their own unique style and niche, that is non-traditional, or at least its own tradition. I think people who don't like Breitling are either garden variety watch snobs/Rolex fanboys or people who only like traditional styles. I find that there's nothing quite like a Breitling, nothing that can satisfy certain horological stylings and qualities in the same way. Excellent review, as always! p.s. I think you caught yourself well: "full" rather than "cluttered" dial. That's part of the fun: Breitling dials and cases are very complex, but they're generally so cohesive and well-balanced that they work.
I’ve had this exact model for 2 years now. My first luxury watch and still loving it. It’s cool to rewatch this review, as it was the best video I could find at the time. Great to see how your channel has grown, Bruce!
Nice Chronomat Bruce. I've got one Breitling watch in my collection, a Navitimer. I got the newer model with the B01 movement. It's got a 46 mm diameter, but I found the bigger diameter opens up the dial more and easier to mess with all the calculations and see all the gradients on the chapter ring. The Strap Smith makes some amazing custom watch straps. I had him make me a thick leather strap from an old WWII ammo bag. It's all scarred and distressed and really tones down the bling factor of my Breitling.
Just like jean Claude biver said in an interview... the Swiss created their own problem with the in house marketing...the ETA 2892/24 and the valjoux 7750 Chrono are reliable workhorses and cheap to service. Good movements.
Great video. Thank you for going to the effort of making it. It's great to learn a bit more about the model. I have just purchased one today from a 2nd hand shop. It's fantastic! I fell in love as soon as I saw it. I've always wanted a Breitling for as long as I can remember. All my other watches are now redundant and will probably never get worn again.
Breitling may not be your style but they do make a quality watch. Love my steelfish. I would like to see them thin out and shrink some models and add more brushed cases and bracelets and I may buy another.
i have the same watch black dial..and i love it!i bought it in 2009.but i think i need to bring it to service center because the date suppose to change at 12 o clock midnight but instead it changes at 7am while the day change at 12 midnight.
Nice intro, surprise it surpass Grand Seiko in accuracy, the raise tabs does bother me on the bezel. Nice watch overall. Thanks for another great review.
Like others have said, a few weeks ago you were asking for donations to recoup your losses on the destroyed AirKing, now you've bought this monstrosity. I enjoy your channel but I really hope you didn't collect donations over the needed amount to recoupe losses then spend on other watches. I think your audience, especially those that donated to your cause, are entitled to an answer. As are the guys at Watchyouwant that gifted you a Bell & Ross.
I think we all need a big, blingy watch that is a bit of a guilty pleasure. It is what Johnny Casual and Jeff McMahon calls the gonzo watch and I think it has a place in every collection.
Just bought this watch with the white dial and blue subdials from Crown and Caliber. Can't wait for it to come in so I can hit my favorite resorts this summer while wearing it!
Thanx for this cool review. The chrono Superocean A13340 was my first luxury watch. For me it is still one of the most beautiful Breitling watches. Everything is perfect on her. And when you hold her in your hands, you immediately feel that you are holding a very high quality-, expensive watch in your hands. The dial is so beautifully worked. Even the small white gold Breitling logo fits in perfectly. She runs pefekt for years with only 2 seconds lead. I could swarm even longer :-) You see, I love this watch (translated from German with Google Translate)
Average people don't know of all the fantastic detailing done to the dial in this version. I have has all three versions, white, black and blue dial. My favorite is the black.
One more thing. I had a Bulova Accutron VX200 with a 7750, and if I remember correctly it took a couple hours for the date to change and it was highly recommended that you didn't set the day/date when the hour hand was within an hour or two of 12, as it could theoretically cause damage to the movement. One of the quirks of the 7750, I guess, but kind of odd.
That usually applies to most mechanical watches unless they have a movement designed to change date precisely at midnight, like eg Rolex 3135. The recommendation is not to set time between 7pm and 4am (day/date movements take the longest to fully complete the process).
Next a Seiko Marinemaster. Then a Tudor BB. Then a Grand Seiko. And then ... eventually you will get to your dream watch again. I know you will and i'll be waiting for it. Nice review, Bruce.
I own this watch, just love to wear it! Keeps excellent time, very accurate, the day date complication comes in very useful

ripperx444 Amen! Now the in house snobs call em junk. Pretty comical really.

Agree totally with your review, this is also for me one of the coolest Breitling ever, you encouraged me to buy one...
Nice review. I think it's very cool watch. Keep up the good work.

Nice watch Bruce and -1 per week, that's an amazing result. Love it or hate it 7750 is something all WIS should own at least once.
nice to see new videos! nice review! thanks for posting!
great review Bruce. Nice looking watch - a little too tall for me ;)
I cannot get over that bezel.
Very cool piece nice review
I have the same. Agree with all you said. Only downside is poor and lazy automatic winder if you are not a super active bloke
I thought you could barely afford to refund your friends money after destroying his Rolex? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Love your videos,
AP.

I have the silver dial and I love it ..it is my best watch ever..
Just bought this watch with the white dial and blue subdials from Crown and Caliber. Can't wait for it to come in so I can hit my favorite resorts this summer while wearing it!
Actually, that is if this Covid thing ever ends...
Please keep doing more classic Breitling ...please
LOL did he delete the video where he begs for money?
Leo Yoon Long ago!

Great review Bruce. I recently purchased Chronomat 44 GMT and its my first Breitling. Loving every moment of it
i have the same watch and its being perfect
Nice intro Bruce, thought it was really good. I like the watch too. Not sure if its for me but very nice all the same 👍
Great review of My dream watch - where did you find it? I am looking for one in great condition. Thanks

Another terrific review! I have this watch too and every time I think I should sell it, I'm overcome with affection for it. I think it's a keeper!

Stunning
Now if only the finish was fully brushed, it would be perfect.
Haha, just kidding;))
if you put out a video I watch it. period. stay cool Bruce!
Big E amen!
Nice watch おかえりブルース!!
Another great video! Thank you!
Nice watch .. actions not so ..
Love mine with the white dial and blue subdials
Thanks for the video, would you recommend running the chronograph all the time? What issues could it have? Will it be a problem?
It will wear all parts more quickly and lessen your reserve time
Next a Seiko Marinemaster. Then a Tudor BB. Then a Grand Seiko. And then ... eventually you will get to your dream watch again. I know you will and i'll be waiting for it. Nice review, Bruce.
nice one!
Chronomat 42 is much sexier with B01 movement and crystal case back on the limited Edition
have exact same one it's a keeper!!!
Awesome video review, Bruce. Keep them coming!
Love it Bruce! Keep it up. That thing is a beast though! The height and the lug to lug would kill it for my teeny little girl wrists.
