I love how smooth turning the IC 300 is alltogether... what's really unique about the IC's is that some of the older ones rattle around more. My school just got some Navistar IC CE 300s and I absolutely love them because they don't really rattle around as much and the doors don't squeak when they open unlike the old 2007 ones.
That's funny. I always liked when drivers put their stop arms out before they get to a stop. A lot of the drivers here usually put it out just a few seconds before they get to a stop
You can't really use the manual override switch unless the main student amber pick up lights is not working !! The manual override switch is read and that activates the red student pick up lights and stop arm !! But once you push the amber student pick up lights and come to a complete stop then open the door then the red lights and stop arms comes on automatically soon as the door opens !!! I also didn't like this driver driving up and down the isles of the compound at 15/20 mphs our compound is 5 mphs all day long !! You never know who's gonna back out on you !!!
I have the same bus as this...I hate it! lol I do! my 1987 Chevrolet blue bird was taken off the road and replaced in 05 with the 2005 IC and I've had it since. I'm sorry, but the bus feels cheaply made and they say its the same width size as blue bird but I don't believe it. The dash section on the right side has come off from vibrations and the black frame around the gear shifter has come off - the clips that hold it are plastic and the ends broke so its being held with black tape...
IC has stepped it game. The ones we got in 2014 run great. The Blue Bird Vision seems a bit cheap nowadays. Maybe it's cause I'm used to A Thomas 3800, IC CE or a Thomas HDX.
Love the classic air brake sound
