- THE ORIGINAL UPLOAD - Great live version from "The Roxy", early 1988. The chart countdown music is 'Amnesia' (The Roxy Theme) by Bananarama. It's a Stock Aitken Waterman production and is available on the expanded version of the album 'WOW' by Bananarama.
I've always wondered if that was Trevor Horn in the audience at 2.28
Back then R&B was awesome but was such a small market, if this was today both of these artist would have been bigger stars....
love them both
This is priceless....the 80’s you’ll never get this again
Whenever, i see these two nothing but great memories floods my mind. 80's soul and R&B were so incredible. I truly missed those days because those were true to the heart entertainers. Unfortunately, todays performers just can't cut it live. I seen Alex and Cherrelle at BBQ's in NYC 2 years ago and they sound as fresh as the first time they sang together. The show was absolutely amazing.
Perfection. They don’t make music like this anymore.
They had the magic back then .. A powerhouse and a natural with chemistry and charisma
look at how well turned out these two are, brilliant, great performance and live as well.
What a voice and their two voices went together perfectly.
-The mid-late 80's, the hard beats & RnB, & the clubs was real nice then. Those were some of my best years.
sidenote: loving the countdown at teh end
great singing performance..no different between live and studio..
This was when Alex could still sing and could hit the high notes. He became a beef cake after that and never sounded the same. Cocaine tore him apart. No matter what, he is still my favorite singer of all time. That voice is so unique and amazing.
Top form!!!
Fantastic voices together
Alex if you dig deep you can still do it!
Grew up listening to AL.His music has brought so many couples together.Me and AL are from MS.Southern SWAG !!!!
Ich liebe diesen Song.
It was a good thing for singers like him back then I think, it was seen as raw and gritty.
Beautiful r&b songs of 80s
Very powerful song, very powerful performance, very powerful duet.
I miss them too. Iam so glad that I was born in raise in the 80s. We had good music and talent.
They definitely got it on more than once, no doubt about it!
We need to bring the talents of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis to bring back REAL music again!!
Bring back the 8o's, this guy is amazing ♥
ONE ANGEL IN EARTH.......THE GOD OF THESE MUSICS.......I WAS THERE......I LIVED IN 80S AND I HAVE THE BEST MEMORIES......BY JIOVANNI KORNAROS.....
Magic!!!
Mom loved this song.
i hate how when i show my nephews this they cant get into it. my nieces aren't as bad - women love singers, but my wife always laughs at how soulful those male eighties r&b singers were. obvious that she's younger than me. jazz and r&b are what i listen to most and alot of 90's hip hop, some current hip hop - cause the tracks are so good now. i guess kids dont have soul anymore. they're afraid to express themselves as individuals. too bad for them
i came here in order to understand rapper tame one's lyric "have you sweating like alexander o'neal on stage doing songs with cherrelle." it makes sense now. he is a sweaty man.
I LOVE LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PERFORMANCES FROM ALEXANDER & CHERELLE..
i LOVE Cherrelle's swag
I miss them
Thank you for this nostalgic video, even the chart countdown in the end remain some nice memories
Great
I would like to hear this awsome song in a slower tempo and only with Fender Rhodes.....
Classic
never love like this
-...& He also looks like a 50's to early 60's pimp, or doowop/soul/60's Motown singer too.
Great performance.Cherrelle in that in that slinky body hugging number..ooh wee!
Alexander O'Neal and Cherrelle did a great duet on this song, before they had sung '' Saturday Love '' in 1986, at 2:47 of the video while the charts give a good dance song of that time listening, I wonder who the band or artist

Ooohh thank you very much!!!!
DAM Cherrell you are wearing that black dress
Man I miss black women from the 80's. So sexy and classy. What happened?
Exactly. Can't stand them now. I haven't dated a black woman in 17 years. Frankly, life is better. However, I remember when could appreciate them. Long time ago.
@C. C. Nope. If so, they are 60 years old. Nice try. Good night.
Fentanyl
My girl friend Denise Williams style my hair and cut it for .y performance with Alexander O'NEAL.
Heyyy how do I get in contact with you? I love Alexander O'Neal and I want to be an artist so bad. I'm from The Philippines
Great song, great singing - BUT NO LIVE BAND ?!!! was really hoping that there'd be a REAL live version, but this is just glorified nationally televised karaoke
