I had codes p0011 p0014 p0016 p0089 p0300 p0420 and p228D. I replaced the intake and exhaust vvt solenoids got rid of all codes except these the p0089 and p228D .....ty so very much.
I fixed this exact codes on a lexus before by doing liqui moly engine flush new oil and liqui moly complete fuel cleaner worked great saved me from buying $1500 on just the fuel pump today i got this same code on a equinox gonna try the same before replacing this sensor
@@ley7504yeah it worked but also replaced the vvt selenoids if I remember correctly they tested good but weren't good wierd case but second time I see this on 2.4l where vvt selenoids cause ppl to change all this sensors and even the high pressure fuel pump end up with same codes because it's the vvts
@@uuulaalaaI might try it. Mine is throwing both of these codes, I've already replaced the HPFP and the Fuel rail sensor. I just bought the sensor in the video but mine isn't located where his is, and I can't find it for the life of me! It's a 2014 Buick Verano 2.4 smh
@@ley7504 I recommend you buy identifix DIY for your specific car its about 20 dollars a month you can cancel it when you done fixing your issue but also recommend checking the vvts their cheap ether way always good to replace them as maintenance on this engines
Will that sensor cause the vehicle to throw a message saying engine power reduced? It came on on my vehicle and it gave me these codes today at autozone. Thanks
Hello there, where did you buy the new sensors from and what is the sensor model number for the GMC Terrain? I see several online but most said won’t fit the terrain.
it did for me. I changed the sensor and it removed the codes.. Make sure your oil isnt low or way past service, or it will derate the vehicle, and it will nott run any better :) (not my vehicle)
good evening. I have an equinox 2012 2.4, a few days ago it was ringed, after that it trembles at low speed (after about 20 minutes) and a noise starts in the engine, it appears on the dashboard, THE ENGINE POWER HAS BEEN REDUCED, these are the codes that appear P228D P0089 P0172 and B2AAA. I hope you can help me
THIS IS FUNNY, I ACTUALLY GETS THIS CODE WHEN I LEAVE THE GAS TANK CAP OFF AFTER REFILLING AT THE THE GAS STATION, COULD THIS CODE BE AS SIMPLE AS CHANGING OUT THE FUEL CAP FOR A NEW ONE. JUST SAYING, THIS COULD BE WHY EVERYONE NOT FINDING THE PROBLEM FOR THE CODE. P228D, WHEN I FORGET TO PUT THE GAS CAP BACK ON. COULD BE WRONG, BUT I DOUBT IT. 2012 EQUINOX
Now thats how you explain stuff Brother, not to wordy and straight to the point...Thank you Sir.
