@wlad hmm I dont agree
Cominturismo is state mandated favourite brand, any other opinion and its gulag for you
UAZ 469B. It has more offroad, is small like OG CominTurismo AND has a fabric roof so you can use it as cover or drag parachute when brakes finally go out.

Automotive Did you know? - did you know that they tried to sell the Cominturismo to international markets, however this was not without problems. In order for a car to be allowed to be sold in the UK it nees a government road worthiness certificate, and the Cominturismo failed because when the tester drove the car he noted: The clock broke, the indicator broke, the boot flew open, the steering went wonky and then the suspension collapsed. The Nopel was approved a year later.
I take it you prefer the Nopal? XD
@@ConsiderGaming Nopel was built to the lowest of western standards, the Cominturismo was built to the lowest of Soviet standards. One is lower than the other. (Plus it was the cold war and there may have been some bias to make the Nopel look good, it was rumoured that the Nopel's clutch cracked beyond repair after a 1000 mile test, but this may have been covered up to make the Nopel look better than the Cominturismo)
Eh nothing a little duct tape can't fix. *Viva el Nopal!*

Honestly the gulag should have had 2 Cominturismo engines slapping together into a straight 6.
Nah, we leave that to the consumer for a fun DIY weekend
@@ConsiderGaming Something to do next stream, grab the Cominturismo engine and make other engines out of it by adding cylinders and changing layout. Then bolt them into whatever Cominturismo vehicle that can fit them. Then export and drive them. Would be a funny stream. Call the stream: "Cominturismo but with more engine".
Not "more of an engine".
Not "a better engine.
Just "more engine".
Might want to add carburetors to the V8, V12 and the V16 though.
There is a series on the Garage 54 youtube channel where they put 4 lada engines together and create a 300hp inline 16

And a legend was born
Consider to do mildly better than its dad
It reminds me so much of an actual communist supercar, the FSO Syrena Sport! Only one example was ever built in 1960, it made ~40 horsepower, however it was very light - it was made out of fiberglass and only weighed 700 kg (1500 lbs). Thus, it could reach up to 110 kph (65 mph). Test drivers reported it to be surprisingly stable in all conditions, and they did 30 000 km (180 000 miles) if test drives all around the country. It included some technologies, which were unheard of at that time in the communist block - like a 4-stroke engine, self-supporting chassis, independent rear suspension or hydraulic clutch. It was sadly found "too non-communist" by the Polish government and destroyed in 1975 after failed attempts to save it, made by FSO employees. It is considered an automotive symbol of Polish rebellious spirit, when we were trying to break free from USSR. Luckily, almost full documentation survived, and few perfect, modern-day replicas can be seen around Poland. It's a beautiful view :D
Everytime he said "Melkus 1000" I couldn't get that one eurodance song out of my head. Lalalala, it goes around the world just lalalalala

The Cominturismo 1000: DEFINITELY beats walking (I swear!)

Cominturismo 1000 looks cute.
I can't remember if I said this before, but what if you tried squeezing as much HP as possible out of a sports-resembling car with 2k RPM? I say sports-resembling because, well. Probably wouldn't be ACTUALLY a sports car.
I've done something similar. I used the maximum cylinder stroke on an i4 engine, and got it to produce 550 lb-ft or torque, at just 167 horsepower.
Funny thing is, it literally redlines at 2,000. If I raised it any higher, the engine would die of RPM damage.
In BeamNG it oftentimes gives overrev warnings. On a 2000RPM engine.
It does actually make pretty good mileage though
The car that everyone wanted but nobody expected.
OG Cominturismo would be proud.
Put gulag in the autolympics pls
Lol nah Gulag is on pit crew duty this season. Maybe in the future, though? XD
“When the pistons want to commit sudoku...”
You've uncovered Soviet power not meant to be found by mankind.
You should’ve used the quality sliders on the lower end, it lets you rev much higher with the I3. Also, I recommend using the align to surface with the popups.
New rule every sesone needs a car from comintorismo
Hey, just some tips, because I die inside seeing you fiddle around with stuff aimlessly:
- Compression and Ignition timing affect knocking. Usually more timing means more power respective to how much compression you have, for performance and fuel efficiency, I recommend 85-100 ignition timing and then adjust the compression until you don't knock (reverse of how you'd do it IRL)
- Fuel grade affects knocking. Knocking is caused by detonation, which basically means the fuel mixture burns too early causing excessive pressure on the piston when it is still on the compression stroke. Higher fuel grade and more fuel in the system helps combat this (in coordination with compression and ignition timing)
- Speaking of fuel, the Fuel Mixture slider is using a number called "AFR". This is Air to Fuel Ratio. So for every x parts of air, you have 1 part of fuel. So when you say "let's add more fuel" you actually want to go lower. Naturall Aspirated cars in the game work best at about 12.5, where anything lower is too rich. For boosted, it depends on how much boost, timing, compression, etc. IRL it's about 11.0 to 12.0, but in the game, high boost applications can see 10.0-11.0.
- Cam profile here isn't represented exactly how it is in real life. All you need to really know is that the higher the number, the higher RPM the torque curve peaks at. You can play with this and different headers/intakes to tune the flow of air in the system so you have a nice, fat torque curve in the middle.
- Basic rule for boost. When you add boost, you remove timing. It's also good practice to have a lower compression. I've never run above 11.0 compression with boost, but it depends on your application. If I were you, doing boost, start with 9.5-10.0 compression, turn the ignition timing down to 20 (which is also an arbitrary number), set the fuel to about 12.0, set boost to 10-15 psi, then add timing til it knocks. You can continuously fiddly with reducing timing and adding fuel as you increase boost.
If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. I love your videos but seeing you just aimlessly modify things when you have a goal in mind kills me inside.
☭Our Car☭
You should have just given it so much power and max wheelspin so it has the exact opposite curse of the Cominturismo- it cant go up hills because its wheel spins too much.
Maybe call it the Comin. P1?
Yessssssssssss the god has posted
Oh Consider you elegant fool. You really thought you could get away with making two Saabs for the Autolympics. The Cominturismo is quite clearly a Saab Sonett II. It produced 60 hp from a 0.8L Straight 3, whereas you've just bored out the engine and given it cute pop-ups. Good on ya! Seems like I'll be rooting for the "Soviets" this tourney. Best regards from Sweden.

Holy Stalin... Consider what took you so long to build this thing? Now the original can finally come back to Earth in blazing glory.
Well. Seeing the original CominTurismo upgraded to 1000hp but with it's brakes, suspension and everything else stock would be quite interesting. I mean It would be 1 second of full gas and then praying that brakes can deal with bullshit speed before next turn.
Tbh wish there was an 8 wheel BTR 60 or 70 mod in this game. Just imagine Soviet army going in as tech crew for CominTurismo. Just pimped out BTR repainted into "plastic red". While other crews have their SUVs and all that puny stuff the CominCrew shows up with that absolute UNIT of tech "car". Of course even though it's a civilian version it should still have its 14,5mm mounted in the turret. :D
CominTurismo Gulag... I died. I just died.
The best part Russia made a super car but it only had 103 hp and was a 2 stroke 3 cylinder sooooo it wasn’t exactly fast Thus it was named the mulkus
The Melkus was made in east Germany and for the time 103hp wasnt so Bad espacially if you consider, that they made 100hp from 1l with a NA engine
It's actually good soviet car . СССР вперёд!
Are you steering in keyboard? If so, you understeer even with the Sunburst
Nah gamepad. Tbh I think a lot of my issue is that I need to adjust the sensitivity settings in Beam... I think that maybe (since I rarely push the stick to either direction fully but the wheels do turn fully consistently) the sensitivity is just too high and it keeps causing the front wheels to lose traction even with slight inputs. I'll have to tweak it a bit
Consider Okay, good luck with it, i switched to mouse steering for that (From keyboard steering, i dont have pad). Your video made me wanted to install automation.

Fun fact: Soviet cars used to consider a 48-50 horsepower coupe a "sports car" back in the 60s-80s.
