i generally don't care all that much about shippings, but when it starts involving actual human beings, that's when i get upset. you're free to feel however you want. only when it affects other people does it become an issue, and this objectification of actors is most definitely a problem. you're probably very young, so i'm sorry if i seem like i'm taking this too seriously, but this sort of thing is something i'm very passionate about. if you haven't heard it already, i'll tell you this now; kaji, yamashita, and seiyuus/music artists/idols are *people*. they have a right to their privacy, including their relationships, platonic or otherwise. being native to a different country and speaking another language does not make them "exotic." this applies to western actors and celebrities as well (obviously), but i see it becoming more and more of a problem for those with young, foreign audiences.
as much as i love these guys, we have to remember that they have their own lives as well.

what i'm trying to say is that though shipping isn't necessarily bad (hell, i'm guilty getting in a few heated arguments over some of my favorite pairings), it is, more often than not, pretty destructive when it involves actual people. i can't tell you how many times dan howell has been streaming and had someone ask if he was gay or, indirectly, if he was in a romantic relationship with his best friend. poor dude had to shut the topic down so many times he just stopped acknowledging it. you'd be genuinely surprised at the lengths some people go to "confirm" their ships.
no matter how you feel about it, you should never put a single person (or pair, i guess) on that high of a pedestal. it damages not only you, but the people you're raising to such high standards. of course, this is different for fictional characters, but it's still important to catch yourself becoming too reliant on something/someone that is completely unaware of you. be the source of your own happiness, and stay safe.
