Ive got an Evolution rage 2 and cut 2" x1/2" mild steel bar [ although its recommended to cut max 1/4"] Ive done about 100 cuts on same blade and still going strong. I'd recommend "pulse" cutting ,rather than constant pressure,its stops the swarf welding to the teeth and also a touch of cutting oil helps

have u tried 45 angle cut?
Humm? I could cut 1/2"x 8"hot rolled plate in 20 to 30seconds.
Took so long on that last cut sound put me to sleep
