I think the girl is long gone (due to an accident, maybe? Bcoz of all those shots in a car and him, saving her on one scene). He argued with her because she doesn't want her to get hurt and go away. Hence, that scene where they're in a dark room. I think it represents his desperation to keep her but in the end, he's truly the one being tied up in a chair. Because he's trapped in the illusion that he's still with her. Besides, buwan is the filipino term for luna (moon) which is often correlated with being insane, explaining his behavior on the video. This is my interpretation: This video is basically a metaphor for codependency in a relationship (lyrics: Ayokong mabuhay nang malungkot . Ikaw ang nagpapasaya. At makakasama hanggang sa pagtanda.) He's in love and dependent on the girl for his happiness. She's illuminated more than the guy and she's wearing white because that's how he sees her, pure and radiant (lyrics: Ganda mo sa paningin). He's more in the dark, meaning he's kept in the dark about her true nature which, I think, is manipulative as shown how she carelessly dances in the middle of the road even as a car is about to pass by, putting herself in danger for his attention and love. It even came to a point where he thought he was being too controlling as what him tying her up signifies. The flowery shirt he has signifies him seeing things with rose-tinted glasses. She could do no wrong in his eyes and he is addicted to his love for her as shown by the psychedelic lights often used to portray things under the influence of drugs. He's high on the happiness she or his love brings him.Things rewinding is him backtracking and seeing everything in their relationship as how it actually was where she disappears. Meaning, this "pure, radiant girl" image he created of her in his mind doesn't actually exist. And showing her to be the one actually tying him up means she had him wrapped around her little finger all along. Him realizing all this has him going crazy. That's what my interpretation is at least. Brilliant song and music video regardless of the interpretation! The instruments and Juan Karlos's voice are both impressive. Plus this song sounds quite oldskool. I love it!

For me, not entirely though quite similar. That's what you've read from most of the reviews and I think you've just narrowed it in a simpler way, but anyways. It's more about depicting the country's (Philippines) current living condition for most, those that are preventing the country's developments e.g. 'drug addicts'. Its the same as how you've described it but more as in 'Juan Karlos' being an addict where he thinks he's in control of his drug addiction (the lady). Though in the end, he couldn't find his way, himself etc, he's a slave of his own addiction and he never wanted to be in that state in the first place. He screams near the end; he couldn't believe it.

from my point of view, I think The guy is trapped in an intense love towards a girl and he has no control over it (not that the girl controls him), its just he wish he is in control over her but the reality is she has control over his feelings and that is just something very raw and vulnerable on his part and i guess by some way makes him crazy. I think the vid was abt a memory of the guy abt the girl he loved. Unfortunately the girl died already & he wants her to be still alive in his memory the way he wanted it. That's why the kidnapping part, he tried trapping her not literary but in his memory. For me the song symbolizes the beauty of love,the adventures, those sweet moments and tiny quarrels, and sometimes we want to cherish those moments, we hold on to much so we often tie those people we love just because we want to stay forever in that situation . And when they're gone -those people that we love. We try to look on the past, does on the flashback and we will realize things, and realize the other side of love, it hurts and it will make us crazy, In a the end we are really the one who is tied up and can't move on.

I think it simply means that the guy is trapped by the memory of her. In short, she's dead, this maybe because she's reckless and he wasn't able to save her. To make the story short, the guy was on the process of moving on but he cant forget the girl. I see it as the woman is the embodiment of depression. It's like he keeps his depression hidden somewhere thinking he's happy being alone thinking he's in control and in the end it was his depression taking control of him and trapping him after all.

He was not tied literally, but he was trapped and tied to her memories or maybe to his intense feelings towards her up to the point of imagining her being with him when all along she wasn't.
