Let's face it ; Shilese is rock solid. I just came from the venue in Antwerp and her consistency is remarkable to say the least. A very reliable partner to Simone in the all around, i swear. 😍
Beam and floor were pretty disappointing. That L hop full is NOT working at all for her and the turns are wildly inconsistent. On beam she's downgraded/taken out so much that she's counting *TWO* B elements.
@@turbojon8117She’s injured and still made beam and floor EF. Her level dropped slightly as the championships went on but that’s probably because she’s not able to do the same amount of repetitions as everyone else due to her shoulder injury. In QF she beat Rebe in AA and got. 14+ on beam. When she’s at 100% (hopefully next year) she will be able to consistently do the more difficult skills
She really needs to, as she struggles with even C dance elements on beam and floor. She counted two B's on beam all Championships, and counted one or two B's on floor throughout the competitions. It's almost unbelievable; definitely disappointing considering how talented she is. She maxes out at 6.0 on floor but went as low as 5.5 in FX EF.
@@turbojon8117 Well she told reporters that she was only at 75-80% her level and this was back at the US Championships, so it may well be that she still is not fully fit to do harder elements. You could clearly see that she was struggling at the end of the AA and on the last day of competition. If she hopes to be on the podium at the Olympics next year however, she will still need to do some upgrading especially on beam and floor because I am sure every other gymnast will be.
She has upgrades but she has been injured for the last year and didn't compete for 10 months so considering that she did an amazing job she along with Simone carried this team to gold and she did so with a torn shoulder
I love watching her and she’s definitely the star of the US team after Simone. It’s criminal that she’s not as well known as Sunni, jade, Jordan by virtue of never being on an Olympic team yet.
The reason why Melnikova has never named the triple L is that she knows when medal is at stake, it's better to go for a safe, calm and perfect 2 L + 2 turn, than a halfway triple without a valid connection, losing D-score plus deductions.
Did she get the triple L credit? She was a little off balance at the end, but it looked like she got it around. Is there officially a Jones in the CoP?
Incredible save
what was supposed to happen
@@jetreyes842 you can see her knee bend on her second pass she saved that amazingly she could have fallen and not made the podium
@@jetreyes842yes, she was off after the full twist and lost her speed, so she had to work hard to pull that double back out of nowhere
Her dance is gorgeous!
I thought she was about to have a GRISHINA MOMENT.. 1:06 But she pulled it through!
She almost pulled off a Grishina on floor😂

@@turbojon8117 why focus on the negative? It might not have gone as planned but she still got third place at the end of the day.
I hope Shilese will upgrade over the coming months because she has everything else going for her.

@@TheTimo5494 Yes.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 We agree -- hoping she'll upgrade and realizing she'll need to, for Paris.
Shilese is a lock for Paris at this point

This is the first time I've seen a true dancer on this floor in a while.

Unfortunately not but she was so close this time
@@Bxyxox That makes me so sad. Hopefully she gets the credit in floor finals. She’s so talented and deserves to get her own eponymous skill

What's the name of Jones' solo song?
Golden hour
Did she get the triple l credit?
No she fell out a quarter turn early
…Shilese is a gorgeous talented and elegant gymnast…but she got robbed she should’ve got a clear second and a silver…!
Silver!
Bronze
Close but no
inconsistency in both turns, ruge mistake at second pass and bad landing at third... stop whining about
Horrível, merecia no mínimo um 12. Mas como é americana ainda tirou uma nota razoável.
What is HORRIBLE is a CREATIN like yourself.
Tem nada de horrível. Realmente esse solo não é dos melhores dela, mas ela é uma grande ginasta!
What song is thissss????
