I feared each breath like my last. But I quit. In that final night, I made a promise to Her. That I wouldn't waste my life in some rundown pub, I wouldn't be the town drunkard, I wouldn't be a nobody. By Her name, I woke the next morning, the withdrawals had finally left my system, like some miracle had struck. I walk in Her name and take her values in my own. Trust me kid, *war will change anyone*."

Losing or Winning a war forever changes anyone who survives that's just how war is. War can change us depending who we are as a person and how we take the win or lose we can change Ina good way or become so deluded with the lose it changes us horribly.

A soft and caring child, full of hope and kindness.
everyone in his village loved him. he was only 12 years old.
But one day, men dressed all in armor came in the village. Took the child and prepare him for war.
The child cried and screamed to his parents, 'i will come back! i swear!'
the childs name was Fay, Fay has arrived on the camp site, was trained to the point of vomit and collapse.
*3 years passed* Now Fay is 15 years old, when the campsite was attacked overnight by the enemy.
everyone was cought by suprise and massacred. The boy managed to escape, but was chased by 3 men in armor.
Fey ran for his life, managed to lose the enemy. And decided to head home, to his village.
Fey said 'Finally, after 3 years i escaped! i can finally see my parents!'
The travel took 1 week, he killed wild animals and cook them at a bonfire overnight.
'Tomorrow i should arrive home' fey said to himself. *next day*
Fey arrived at the gates of his village, only to see all the houses destroyed.
ashes and dead people everywhere. Fey ran as fast as he could to his house.
only to see his parents dead. Fey was angry 'who! who could do such a thing!'
Fey could hear footsteps, and he heard the men say 'ugh, it smells horrible. Commander overdid it here.
Kiling all of these people just because they were in his way' Fey peeked at them and he saw the same armor as the people that massacred the camp he was at. Fey filled with rage,grabbed the nearest sword and rushed to kill one of them. Fey back stabbed a man and killed him.
there was only one more remaining, Fey rushed towards him, The enemy got stabbed before he could draw his sword. The nemey'slast words were. ' are you the kid that was taken fromthis village? ha, you should have seen your parents, holding a picture of you before being killed. Fey was enraged and slashed the man's head clean off.
Fey dropped to his knees crying, He killed 2 people, and had his village and the parents killed because of the *war*
Fey picked up his sword, 'i have nothing left to live for, no place to stay and no one to love.' He walked out the village and put the 2 soldiers head on a stick at the village entrance 'all i can do now is kill as many of these savage people as i can. I will spare no one' *10 years passed* fey had killed so many people, he was named the reaper.
Fey had won the war, peace had finally arrived after 13 years.
The joyous, kind, soft child. Had turned into a man with dark eyes and hands full of blood.
Lost his village and his parents in the war. Now he is just waiting to die.

War, war changes people. In some cases, it’s obvious in the form of physical injuries. What isn’t obvious is the mental trauma. Wounds that will take years to lessen but never heal and do far more damage than a bullet ever could. A bullet can only hit someone once, but trauma will keep returning, destroying them from the inside.
Add in the stigma around mental health, and the outcome isn’t good. It leaves me wondering how many suicides are from people who don’t have anyone who will listen and just wanted the pain to end. And if they do survive, they’re met with judgment. What a world.
