I've mentioned this before but this takes me back to when I lived in New Orleans pre-katrina, Gothic nights out on Decatur and 3 am around at louis cemetery #1 where marie laveau is supposedly buried.
Does anyone knows the meaning of this song? I like the music but wanted to know it's meaning before I let my son hear it who's learning how to play electric guitar.
It's a song about countering White American Christianity that was forced on kidnapped Black slaves forced to live and work in America. It counters the white Christian God by praising and calling in a true God of destruction to deliver the Black slaves from the evils of their masters.
This song brings me peace
They just shouldn't bother with studio recordings, they fucking explode when they play live!
My lord. The scream FILLED the room! So glad dad showed these guys and gal to me!

It's something like what if the slaves would've embraced a somewhat Satanism like "reverse Christianity".
I would wait.
Eric Andre looks good here.
Crowd energy is weak as fuck. This song is for moshing and the band deserves more.
